We loved camping here! Carole and her husband are lovely, and very accommodating. The amenities were fantastic, and we even got fresh eggs for the morning!

Carole was a friendly and generous host. I was given wood, eggs, oranges, spinach and even a salve for my sprained ankle. My camp site, situated at the bottom of their back garden, was right on the creek and felt like a bush setting. Plenty of animals -peacocks, geese, goats, chooks, to see, but not unfortunately the elusive platypus. But they did set up a TV documentary on platypus for to watch at my convenience. Definitely recommend their Farmstay.

We had a lovely stay on Carole and Peter's land. They were extremely warm and generous. The kids loved the animals and all the birds. It was great to camp next to the creek and we got to a quick glimpse of the platypus! Would absolutely recommend camping here with kids.

Fantastic site with extremely welcoming and friendly hosts. Great facilities and access to firewood. Caroline and Peter are genuine in their warmth and desire to make the stay the best it can be. I look forward to returning.

Carole and Peter are lovely hosts.
We stayed at Camp 1 which is a little nook down on the creek.
We couldn't see the other camp from our spot but the main homestead is close by.
The facilities are a short walk away (closer to Camp 2) and were clean with a camp kitchen, shower, drinking water and toilet.
We spent 3 nights by the fire watching the stars, and days by the creek under the trees watching the Birdlife (so many birds in that corner! Take your binoculars!)
Sadly, we didn't see the resident platypus but we did see the Rekali which was a first and very exciting.
Expect to meet the resident animals! We had visits from goats, sheep, dogs, peacocks and chooks!

So peaceful, quiet, comfortable and safe. Very well maintained property, spacious camping area with peaceful creek, great communal shower and kitchen area. Friendly geese, sheep, goats and peacocks that our children loved interacting with.
Carole and Peter were so welcoming from the moment we arrived, we truly would love to have stayed for longer.

We stayed at Camp 2, it's a little flatter and more open than Camp 1.
Both sites would be fine for tents, or in our case, a rooftop tent.
Vans and larger setups might be better suited to Camp 2. However, both camps are great looking.
There is a decent amount of distance between the two camps as well.
Their home is nearby, but we always had total privacy and wouldn’t have even noticed anyone.
Carole met us when we arrived to show us the site, explain the facilities, and give us a homemade focaccia, which was amazing.
We only needed the shower and toilet facilities, and they were all very clean and tidy.
There was a kitchen area as well, but we didn’t use it.
The campsite was level with great grass coverage and still a decent amount of shade around, with trees to sit under.
Fireplaces were available, along with some wood, but of course, this depends on the fire ban status on the day.
There are some goats, dogs, and a friendly sheep that roam around, all very friendly.
There’s also lots of birdlife, with many types around the river. On a clear night, the stars are amazing.
We’d be happy to stay again if we were in the area.

Carole and Peter are terrific hosts. Site is very secluded and if you are lucky you’ll see the local platypus. Everything is provided with free firewood. Highly recommended

Carole’s place is fabulous. Full of lovely country charm and lots of friendly farm animals. There is plenty of space to set up and it is very quiet.
Unfortunately we arrived in the middle of a 38° heat wave, but Carole took one look at our unairconditioned van and said “Your not staying in that tonight”. She, very generously offered us her air conditioned guest suite and of course we took up her offer. Peter and Carole are wonderful generous hosts and they made our stay very enjoyable and memorable.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Broken Creek, and it was nothing short of magical. Our hosts, Carole and Peter, went above and beyond to make our experience memorable; we now consider them family, and their hospitality has just raised the bar.
From the moment we arrived, we were spoiled with a welcome basket of homemade preserves and, on various days, freshly baked bread and herbs from their garden. Their homemade pizzas were simply delightful!
New Year’s Eve was a standout, as Carole and Peter hosted drinks and nibbles that felt like a gathering with family—warm, welcoming, and full of joy.
The property itself is pretty unique. The campsite offered complete privacy, with enough distance from other sites that we often felt we had the whole place to ourselves. The view of the creek was stunning, and we were treated to spectacular sunsets and vivid starlit skies that felt close enough to touch.
Nature lovers will be in heaven at Broken Creek. The birdlife was diverse and beautiful, and we loved interacting with the farm animals—Larry the Goat, the friendly geese who greeted us on arrival, and the calls of the peacocks all added to the charm.
To top it off, the well-appointed kitchen was a fantastic bonus, making it easy to enjoy delicious meals surrounded by nature.
Broken Creek is the perfect escape for anyone looking to switch off, relax, and reconnect with nature. We cannot recommend it highly enough and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Beautiful property with lots of wildlife. It was nice to see the peafowls roaming around. Carole and Peter are very friendly hosts and we even had freshly made pizzas. Looking forward to staying there again.

Once again, Carole and Peter are just so welcoming. It’s such a great spot, rain hail or shine. On this occasion had a visit from some cows wanting to see what was cooking - didn’t have the heart to share our beef sausages. At times you may want ear plugs - an amorous peacock likes to sound off at odd hours of the night. Definitely worth a visit.

We loved our stay! Peter and Carole are the most perfect hosts and there was nothing that wasn't done to make our stay more enjoyable. Great for birders or just wanting to get away from the rat race for a while. Wonderful amenities, sociable farm animals and an idyllic spot by Broken Creek. Added plus of being close to part of the Silo Art Trail but remember if you are looking to eat out at the Goorambat Hotel don't forget to book!

A beautiful spot away from all the cares of the world. Carole and Peter went out of their way to welcome me and make me feel comfortable and relaxed during my stay. The campsites are well situated next to the creek, which is the perfect place to sit and read and while away the afternoon. The farm animals and their bleats and moos (as well as the peacock’s calls) added to the ambience and reminded you to slow down and leave the hustle and bustle behind. The camp kitchen is well stocked and the bathroom facilities fantastic.
The addition of fresh baked bread and eggs were deliciously appreciated.
I found Hidden Beauty the perfect base to explore the local wetlands and some of the local silo art as well.

First and foremost, the cleanliness of the site was exceptional. everything was in perfect order. It’s clear that you take great care to keep the property in top shape, which made my stay incredibly comfortable and enjoyable.
What made the experience even better was the warmth and friendliness of the hosts. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and well taken care of. Your genuine hospitality made a huge difference, and I appreciated all the little tips and suggestions you offered to make the most of my time there.
One of the highlights of my stay was the wonderful interaction with the animals on the property. It was such a treat to see them up close, and they added a special touch to the whole experience. Whether it was working wiht the sheep, feeding the chickens or just watching the friendly farm animals roam around, it made for some truly unforgettable moments.

As we’ve found before, Carole and Peter are exceptional hosts. They go far beyond what is expected and it is greatly appreciated and the prime reason we’ve been before and will come back again. By far the warmest and most welcoming hipcamp we’ve come across. Pay Carole, Peter and crazy Pixie (the sheep) a visit and plan the next one in advance! 5 stars easy.

We are a family of four from Singapore embarking on a motorhome journey during winter and this is our very first stop. We were given a spot overlooking the creek with stunning views where we can also do campfire and bbq at the same place. Here we are also able to have close encounter with their various farm animals. I just want to especially thanks Carole and Peter for the campfire and assisting us with all the connections to our motorhome even though it is so cold outside. We are lucky to have the chance to enjoy very delicious home-made bread from them as well. Last but not least, Carole & Peter took very good care of us and they are some of the nicest people that you would like to be around with. We wish we could stay longer.

Mate and I had a great stay at Hidden Beauty on Broken Creek. Carole and Peter are excellent hosts and provide lots of extras to make your stay truly memorable. Enjoy the wildlife (even saw a platypus!) and farm animals. Plenty of free firewood to while away the night as you name stars in the Milky Way. Highly recommend.

If you’re looking for a peaceful, beautiful campsite full of nature & the perfect amount of shade and sun, there’s no place better than the Hidden Beauty! We stayed comfortable at Carole’s for 5 days, could’ve stayed for 5 months! Serene spot by the creek, many sightings of the local platypus, kingfisher & other birds. Carole was extremely inviting-there if you needed any assistance. Would 100% come back and recommend to all.

These hosts are absolute gems. Carol and Peter are so friendly and definitely went over and above what we expected.
They are very caring and interesting hosts, they not only keep lots of farm animals but they are happy to talk to you about anything to do with farm life making this a very educational stay which is great for adults and kids. Their animals include sheep, cows, chickens, geese, peacocks, guinee fowl, horse and a gorgeous goat. They let us feed milk to the lamb which was beautiful and generously shared some pf their produce with us and have is shelter from the heat on an extremely warm weekend which was very much appreciated.
The area was beatiful too, we had loads of fun exploring and swimming in the watering holes around gooram falls, nalhahcootie dam and Polly Mcquinn Weir. The silo art trail was beatiful and the surrounding towns were really nice to explore too.
So far this has to be our favourite Hipcamp mostly because of how lovely the hosts were.
Thank you sooo much Carol and Peter for an amazing weekend.

We had a lovely stay at the farm! Carole and Peter went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. All the different animals were very friendly and added a pleasant touch to te stay. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the neighbourhood!
