Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
From the moment you arrive at the ornamental gates, the magic begins. A charming old bridge welcomes you across a beautiful body of water, home to a family of ducks and redfin gliding beneath the surface. As you follow the solid, well-constructed road through the property, you can choose your own adventure—a secluded bush campsite surrounded by eucalyptus trees or a more open clearing with sweeping views of the Grampians. Several dams are scattered throughout the property, and you're welcome to camp beside them or take a refreshing swim. There's plenty of fallen firewood around, so feel free to collect what you need for your campfire. Wildlife is part of the experience here. Kangaroo families wander through at dusk, and Bev and Gavin—our long-married emu couple—often make an appearance. Birdsong fills the air with a sense of peace, while sunsets paint the sky in deep golds and purples. When night falls, the stars put on an unforgettable display. It's peaceful, spacious, and wonderfully raw—a place to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with nature.
