Great campsite in southern Bruny! The weather was terrible but we felt a bit protected at this grassy lovely campsite. Nice to wander down the hill to the water for a walk too. Fire pit and wood that was provided was much appreciated! Thanks so much, will definitely be back again 👍

We absolutely loved camping at South Bruny Paradise despite the weather! The site was roomy, green & protected by the wind! But best of all, we had the site all to ourselves which is really important to us while camping with our! Judy was so accommodating and fast at replying. We will definitely be back ⛺️

Loved our stay. Perfect for staying with 2 dogs who need their own space. Night flat bush area with stacks of firewood! Loved the serenity and the short walk down to the bay. Easy to find as per instructions. The dogs gave it 4 stars 🤩

Hidden treasure on Bruny. Site as described, and exactly what we needed. Our ford everest had no issues pulling our winsdor rapid expander caravan up the driveway to a flat large clearing. Fire pot and a great supply of fire wood on site was a great additional to the stay. We enjoyed our stay so much we have re-booked for another long weekend soon. We picked this site as it is an exclusive site, where we could camp by ourselves and take our doggies who don't cope well with caravan parks and that is exactly what we got. Communication with Judy was seamless and easy and we just wanted to say thanks again. Highly recommend this site for your next free camp, off grid camp.

We loved the privacy and quietness of this place.
If the night is clear it is so great for stargazing. Judy has an abundance of firewood that was lovely on the cooler nights

Open reasonably level camp-site up on the hill with water glimpses through the trees. Very quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Enjoyed the wind through the sheoaks.

Lovely remote part of Bruny on a no through Road.
Single site, excellent for relaxing with dogs whilst exploring/ visiting nearby attractions, including the Lighthouse and Bruny hotel.
Elevated position right on Tailor Bay with water Glimpses from the site.

What a beautiful place, and what a beautiful island... quiet, secluded, protected, no annoying neighbours, our dogs loved being with us. The peace and quiet is what our souls needed!
Don't fear driveway from other reviews, a 2wd could do it no worries.

We loved camping at Judy's campsite. The campsite was nice and private and quiet with no one around. The kids got to see an echidna, possums and wallabies. We will definitely be back again hopefully soon.

Great sheltered spot from southerly winds. No other campers. Has coastal bay at driveway. Close for fishing off the land.. great to be able to have a fire and wood supplied. Leave no trace campspot.Had no troubles getting Avan in and out I loved it. Will be back again

Loved the well sheltered private site.
So tranquil. Being on the south side was also a bonus. By far the nicer side in my opinion.
Ground was a bit rocky but that was not a problem.
In all loved, loved our stay. Booked for 4 extended to 6 nights. Thanks Judy for being the perfect host.

Lovely last minute stay at Judy’s, it was an unexpected surprise to have the little patch to myself! Blissfully quiet, and a great big mound of firewood free to use. Just make sure you get directions first :)

We loved camping on Judy‘s property. It was very private and sheltered from the wind. Casuarina trees provided a beautiful canopy and we loved all the bird life and butterflies. A short walk to the beach which we could gaze at from our campsite was gorgeous! We also loved being close by to the Lighthouse and the incredible array of beaches that Bruny has to offer!

This was a great bush camp, we camped with two dogs and the site was great, plenty of good fire wood great location close to the water. As long as you are prepared for self sufficient bush camping , you will find it a good spot. Would recommend.

Quiet little spot nestled in bushland, with best beaches nearby.
We enjoyed staying in a secluded spot and loved coming to campsite with fire wood galore, provided (for free) by the host with a fire pit.
To get to site you have to go up a driveway, but levelled and cleared site.
Close to lighthouse and cloudy bay.

Great camping spot far enough away for privacy but close enough to water, Cloudy Bay, Lunnawanna, etc. Very helpful heading firewood there and ready to go. Great spot!

We camped here for 5 nights & found it a great spot for our large family (kids 2yr - 13yr). Our Kids loved finding all the "secret garden" spots on the property. The area was flooded with Nymphalidae butterflies which the kids loved watching (dec-mar is good) highly recommend purchasing "Butterflies of Tasmania". Our kids also enjoyed the large open area to play cricket, ride bikes & other games. Not having a sole person in sight was a huge bonus!! our kids can get noisy & not worrying about disturbing other campers meant we could all relax & enjoy ourselves. That alone is a big bonus for this campsite!! The main area is somewhat bare but that is to be expected for a high-use area, it didn't bother us at all. The driveway was wide &clear (no branches etc), for Tassie the driveway was NOT steep, it's a hill. We loved that there was a designated fire pit with bricks surrounding it (bonus for littlies). The huge pile of wood was also a welcome sight, considering most places charge a pretty penny for firewood! It was also well protected from wind. The Bay, excellent for SUPs & yaks at high tide (avoid W side-oysters farm). For swimming go to Cemetary Beach 10min up the road & on your way past, stop at Lunawanna store for a really nice coffee, super friendly crew! We found this campsite to be really central for exploring the South, but easy to drive up north. Highly Recommend! Host Judy is super friendly local & definitely would say, give her a message if you have any worries!

Hipcamp shows water views and says wheelchair friendly. There is bricks and rocks every where. We paid for 4 nights. Stayed for 1 night. Also the trees near the gate needed to be trimmed. Left a big scratch to our window and side of van.

If you are happy to drag your caravan in the driveway scratching the sides on the trees when you enter and are happy to camp in a gravel pit then this is the place for you…. Beach is basically useless as it is 500 meters back down the hill and not really suitable for swimming. We paid for 5 nights but left after 1 and found somewhere else to go.

If you have no where else and like being secluded and driving everywhere, then definitely book this place! How ever, this was not for us. We spent one night and then moved to another awesome spot at the neck. It’s not close to a “beautiful beach” it’s a marshy, rocky, oyster lease bay. Steep drive way with over hanging trees that scratched our vans. Not suitable for kids at all. Really disappointing as the “paradise” is a stretch. Not worth the $30 a night we wasted.

This is a truly beautiful place. Perfect peace and tranquility! Lovely flat camping areas with plenty of room for our caravan - with views of the waters of Little Taylor’s Bay through the trees. Fire pits to choose from and firewood provided! Lovely places to ramble through the bush on the block, and just a couple of minutes down the driveway to the waters edge. Easy, short trip to Lunawanna, where there’s a general store, cafe, pub, pharmacy, post office, and dump point - and the perfect starting point for exploring the island. No one around for miles is what it felt like - and the bird life, wallabies and more living all around us. We’ll be back again… and again… and again. Judy was a wonderful host! We can’t recommend this place more highly.
