Located just 2 km off the Stuart Highway, Wirraminna Station offers 10 large, drive-through sites for self-contained caravans, with no amenities we also have 2 self-contained units with own bathrooms. We’re situated 55 km south of Glendambo and 63 km north of Pimba. Turn in at the Wirraminna Station sign between the 55 km and 50 km markers heading toward Glendambo. Enjoy wide open space perfect for pets, kids on bikes, footy or cricket—and a true outback red dirt experience. There is Telstra 5G phone service (no Optus). While there’s no dump point, we do offer two self-contained units near the homestead - booking in advance. A communal firepit is available—donations toward firewood are appreciated, and we aim to provide a supply each afternoon. Set just 2 km off the Stuart Highway, our large, drive-through campsites at Wirraminna Station offer plenty of space for self-contained caravans. With wide open paddocks, there's room for pets to roam on-leash and for kids to ride bikes, play cricket or footy, and enjoy the outback surroundings. The campground is quiet, rustic, and perfect for those wanting a peaceful stopover between Glendambo and Pimba (55 km south of Glendambo, 63 km north of Pimba). Simply turn in at the Wirraminna Station sign located between the 55 km and 50 km markers heading north. Telstra 5G service is available (no Optus), and while there is no dump point, campers are welcome to use the communal firepit. We aim to provide firewood daily—donations are appreciated. This is a laid-back, pet- and family-friendly camping experience, offering the true essence of the South Australian outback.

Wirraminna Station is a fantastic stopping point. We stayed for one night on our way from Port Augusta to Coober Pedy. Perfectly level, drive-through sites. Gorgeous aspect in every direction! We felt very safe here, and the whole site is beautifully clean and tidy. Stacey left a good pile of firewood for us, for only the cost of a donation. Instructions for finding the station were excellent. Stacey is a terrific host!

Friendly host. Was a great spot to stop for the night. Dogs could run free. No amenities available. Only garbage bins.

We stayed as a rest stop between Peterborough and Coober Pedy, it was easy to find and pull in to a spot, was very quiet and felt safe. Great communication from Stacey as well.

Excellent stop over between Coober Pedy and Port Augusta. Quiet, off the highway, easy 2 km super accessible dirt road even suitable for 2wd. communial firepit with wood provided. Can't go wrong staying here! Definitely recommended and don't forget to check out Lake heart which is only 7km away.
