Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Located only 10 minutes south of Clare, Straub Estate’s beautiful vineyard has stood for close to 60 years growing a dry Shiraz variety of grapes Only 1km down the road from Skillogalee and 2km away from Mitchell Wines, these truly are some of the best wineries in the Clare Valley The Sevenhill bakery and pub is also just round the corner so there’s plenty of options for dining in or grab a quick bite to eat Within the property, there is plenty of nice shaded areas along with a variety of spots to park a caravan or set the tent up No matter what your setup is, we’re easily able to find something to suit everyone Please note, some sites to the back of the property will suit an off road caravan or 4wd a lot better We’re slowly working on opening these areas up to make them more easily accessible along with putting in driveways and gravel paths We will be homing some very friendly sheep and alpacas in the winter months that will happily walk around the property We’re happy for you to feed them just as long as the gates are shut at all times This is the first time we’re setting up to be a camping vineyard so we’re still finding our feet and setting up signs We appreciate your patience and giving us a go The first few bookings we do will be heavily discounted and we appreciate any constructive feedback

Site 2 is located just by our woodlands area It’s right beside a big log with space to park 2 caravans or motor homes We have allowed an extra space within the vines to give you some extra privacy

Site 3 is located past our woodlands area over a small creek crossing Would recommend a 4wd and high clearance caravan/ camper to get over this creek crossing as it may have some vehicles bottom out We have allowed an extra space within the vines to give you some extra privacy
