Absolutely loved our stay at Rawnsley Park Station, we like our own space, so chose a spot away from most in an unpowered site. Positioned on the lake/dam, we had peace and quiet and the most majestic sunsets on the water and sunrises on Wilpena Pound, sheep, emus and birdlife in abundance. Staff in the shop were lovely and bathrooms were maintained to a very high standard. We took a helicopter flight from the main office over Wilpena Pound and further up the Flinders Ranges and Will, our pilot, was very knowledgable and professional.

The view of the mountains is absolutely breathtaking from the campsite. Also, if you climb up onto the big hill next to the camp for sunset, you may just witness the most beautiful campsite of your life as I did. The owners were great as well! Very responsive and helpful. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

Stayed in non-powered camping. Beautiful spots, on plenty of shelter and the facilities were excellent. Was peaceful at night and stunning views during the day. Went for a hike and the views just got better and better. Highly recommend.

So glad we found Rawnsley Station Park. It was perfect! Lovely flat sites to camp on with sensational views. Plenty of space around us. The amenities were lovely & clean. The information sheet given to us at check-in was fantastic with dog friendly spots highlighted. We followed the tour as suggested. Thankyou!!

I went all the way there after having my trip approved on the app to find that they cannot find my booking and was embarrassed in front of other guests. There was barely any network but thanks to the wifi connection in the reception I was able to show my booking details which was also not trusted. I had to leave my details along with card details after an hour long wait while the receptionist dealt with other customers. I tried contacting Tony but had no reply as well. I would not recommend booking any camping from hipcamps for Rawnsley Park Station at all. I had a similar experience in the past as well. If you really want to stay there, you might as well ring them over the phone to have your booking done that way. It sucked to have experienced this after a tiring long drive.

Great location. Make sure to bring adequate firewood. They sell firewood but it is really small and burns too quick. Also can be very noisy with people playing music. Couldn't sleep on last night due to dance music blaring from half a km away. When asked to turn down i was almost assaulted.

We felt fortunate to find an elevated bush campsite, providing superb views towards the range which forms Wilpena Pound. We throughly enjoyed our 3-night stay, our drive through the Gorges and, a hike up Mount Ohlsson-Bagge.

Rawnsley Caravan Park Cabin
Love love love! Would highly recommend staying here. Such a good, warm environment having everyone camping around with their fires going and chatting away. It felt very safe and like a little community Camp is right next to Ikara and many other breathtaking sights. This stay was the highlight of our trip and probably the best location in Australia I’ve seen so far. Such beautiful country

The bushcamping sites were fantastic - there are flushing toilets, and it's a shortish walk to the main caravan park where there is water, showers, camp kitchen and shop. All the staff were great We also had dinner at the Woolshed restaurantone night - delicious lamb and fabulous service.

We had the most amazing time at this epic campsite and wish we could have stayed longer. The views of the ranges were spectacular and can be seen from most angles of the campground. Managers were super friendly and the pool was a welcomed surprise to cool down after a long day on the road. Bird life and sunset was wild as well! Highly recommend.

We loved tent camping at our powered site with our young family. The facilities were close by and were very clean. The walks in the park were gorgeous. The shop had a good variety of things. The pool was beautiful. The staff were kind and helpful. Absolutely recommend this campsite. We will definitely be back.

We had an amazing stay and the park is well run. We didn’t realise it was as big as it was. More of a caravan park. Backdrop is awesome and being able to lockup your dog for the day while you go to the parks was great.

Camping at Rawnsley Park was very straightforward and offered some lovely views of the outside of Wilpena Pound. There is a substantial amount of space for bush camping, all of which has decent views, and still permits access to toilet and shower facilities closer within the caravan park.

Our small group loved our 2 night bush camp at Rawnsley Park Bush campsite. There were atleast 500 campers during this labour- day long weekend, but the common facilities were quite adequate, spread out and in excellent condition at all times. Hot showers, flushable toilets ,sinks, laundry facilities, fire-pits,outdoor taps and efficient garbage disposal were accessible to all powered and un-powered site. All campers were respectful of each other and the environment. Booking was super easy and the host Tony was always very prompt and helpful with providing accurate information to guests. The site was so spacious and had many beautiful location options for everyone. There's a small lake overlooking the magnificent mountain ranges where huge herds of sheep come to water every dawn and dusk . Many of the un-powered sites have the benefit of watching the mesmerising sunsets on the ranges, as these sites are further into the bush from the entrance to the campsite and also closer to the lake. The best times to visit during the year would be probably during Autumn and Spring months, and definitely avoid the fire-ban season because camping is not 'camping' without a campfire! We will recommend this campsite to anyone and will go again ourselves. Thank you to the Rawnsley Park station team!
