Spacious, level camping well-suited for travel trailers over 40 ft long.
Here at 'Waratan Park' in Oakey QLD, we offer a peaceful, animal friendly stay on our 120 acre property, away from the crowds, but close to town, and only a short drive to Toowoomba. We have a large grassed area for your van, very level, with plenty of space. Enjoy views of the animals from your camp chair. All campers must be self contained with their own toilet and shower, can empty grey water ONLY. There is a dump point less than 1km down the road. We have unpowered sites, along with two sites that have access to power and water. Important - We are a working farm, and have 6 farm dogs on site. Whilst we can accept bookings with pets, you MUST run this by us before making a booking. Any visiting pets must be kept on a lead at all times while on the property. Oakey is a small but great country town, approximately 30km west of Toowoomba. Some nearby attractions include an Australian Army Flying Museum, Oakey Historical Museum, and we're a short 20 minute drive up the road from the Jondaryan Woolshed. Local shops include an IGA, Foodworks, RSL, Tavern, 1 pub with great Friday night entertainment (no meals), bakery, cafe, kebab shop, takeaway, hospital and ambulance 24/7, chemists, hairdressers and local mechanics, Toyota dealership and several service stations, all in close proximity. Come stay with us, you wont be disappointed, Bookings essential. we can accommodate large size vans and trucks and buses Should you encounter any issues whilst you are here please let us know, we are always striving to make your stay comfortable., we are also open to suggestions for improvement.

We have three designated sites where you can access power and tank water. The space is grassed and level, with plenty of room to ride a bike or an afternoon game of cricket If you are a large family please contact us for approval Please note, we only have tank water so we ask you use it responsibly. If we are in a particularly dry period, water may be quite limited.

We have a very spacious, grassed and level, camping area, scattered with trees, and overlooking our animals. Plenty of room to find your own peaceful, private patch. Ideal for even larger vehicles and buses. These sites are unpowered, and you must be fully self-contained. All campers MUST have their own toilet and we kindly ask you take all waste when you leave.

Beautiful and relaxing

Rowen & Brad are wonderful people, they went above and beyond to help my sister and I. Brad was absolutely amazing with the kids taking them to the horses and letting them feed them and giving them quad rides while showing them how things worked on the farm. We had such a relaxing time at their farm, the views of the property are lovely and we were to feel like part of the family, we will definitely be back in the future.

We had a lovely stay, very welcoming host and if you love dogs- it’s perfect, they have 6 furry friends on the property. We visited the Army airfield museum and would recommend stopping by while in Oakey.

Property was great, plenty of room. Hosts were very friendly and accomodating, taking the time to introduce the resident mini horses to my daughter and also the opportunity to feed them. Handy location to stop over off the highway heading either East or West.
