We staid at Tee and Steve camp 3 nights. We had a great time and would definitely come back.
First, Tee welcomed us with open arms, showing us the camp, sharing so many tips about the island (where to eat, where to swim, where to have a drink, etc).
The camp is super quiet. First night we were alone, second night 3 other campers where on site. And still, everyone had its own private space.
In the morning we could ear birds singing.
The camp is only 5-10 minutes walk from bus station that is taking you all around the island.
And Tee was available all time via Hipcamp message when ever we had a question. Great host!

Tee's place is an absolute gem. From the moment I drove off the barge onto the island and was greeted by Tee, I knew I was going to have the perfect island getaway. A special mention to Neil, who welcomed me and showed me around Tee's place while they were on the mainland. Five stars Neil! The place itself is quiet, private and an easy walk to Horseshoe Bay, the start of walks and the bus stops. Native birds and wildlife are everywhere and I loved sharing their space. Not to mention the little ladies (The chickens), who made me feel right at home. The bush shower is divine, private and surrounded by native plants. A blessing in the heat.
And then of course there is Tee and Steve. Well, they are the most wonderful, down to earth, fun and genourus people. They have a knack for making you feel like you're home on their beautiful slice of heavenly bush. I couldn't have imagined a more perfect place to be for the 10 days I was there.
Thank you superstars.... I will be back,

We really enjoyed our selves we had a large 23.6 ft van and travelling with 2 kids. Plenty of space. The kids loved putting the chickens away every evening. The hosts were very helpful with local information and general advice.

We didn't meet the hosts, so can't provide any feedback on what they are like. There were also no other campers staying the night we were there, which was fine but led to a bit of an eerie vibe with not seeing anyone else the whole time we stayed. The site is quite close to the road so on and off traffic noise and street lighting. One corner of the property seems to have to be done up for camping but mostly it's a quite large dirt field you can park in. This is fine, but considering the price, was unexpectedly basic as we stayed in free sites with more amenities.
There is a bush shower (open to the rest of the campsites, so I guess in your swimsuit if anyone else is staying?), but no toilets and we didn't find any specifically potable water, just the irrigation system. There are public toilets a short drive away but as we were a rooftop camper, it was fairly inconvenient. Fine for the night, but probably wouldn't stay longer or again.

What can we say 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 our hosts Tee & Steve when well and beyond to make our stay on Maggie. Tee provided so much info on the all the activities on the Island. Our stay was relaxed and perfect 🤩
Their fresh eggs were delicious 😋

We loved camping at the Forts. Tee and Steve were fantastic hosts and very informative giving great suggestions of places to go and always up for a chat. The area is large with lots of shady spots to set up and an amazing alfresco shower. The chooks were very entertaining and Matilda, the resident koala made an appearance. It’s a great place to base yourself to explore the island. Thanks for sharing your piece of the island :)

Amazing location and brilliant host! Walking distance from the forts walk and horseshoe bay! These were our 2 favourite places on the island. Great set up with Outdoor shower and Tee gave us some of there chickens eggs that was very kind of them. Also had a Wallaby come say hi and lots of colourful birds. Tee gave great advice of things to do on the island. Would defiantly recommend to anyone! 10/10

It's a charming, friendly place, with a cool chill-out area in the center of the camp.
You can also meet a number of animals such as wallabies and cockatoo.
The owner is very pleasant and won't hesitate to give you tips on things to do in the area.

Fab little campsite! Great locations, owners are lovely, and there is a nice fresh shower as well. Also a resident koala hangs out nearby :)

Great location just down from Forts Junction, which meant we could leave our camper at the site and set off to complete the Forts walk. Our host was very friendly and helpful giving us ideas of where we might like to visit. We saw wallabies and a range of bird life all whilst sat beside our camper.

Great spot, just up the road from Horseshoe Bay. Relatively quiet, little bit of road noise but really quiet at night. We will definitely be back again next year, Steve and TeeDee are wonderful, thanks guys for a great stay.

Great spot and close to the bus stop to go into town and forts walk 500m up the road. Little developed area for camping created by the owners which is really nice with a nice cold outdoor shower and tap to refill your camper.

Tee and Steve are great hosts and their place is fine. We also stayed down the road at the Koala campground which was cheaper and had bathroom and kitchen facilities.

This was such a cute place to stay, definetely felt the island vibe! Have to be self contained. Showers and toilets available at horseshoe bay. Tee has some amazing tips for visiting the island!

We loved camping at the Forts. Tee gave us the warmest welcome and gave us so many great recommendations for our stay.
The camping area is so cosy with plenty of places to sit and socialise. Totally unique!
The outdoor shower was refreshing and fun to use.
We saw wallabies and many beautiful birds on the campsite. You can see koalas on the Forts walk 5 mins away.
Would 100% recommend anyone to stay here if you can!

We loved to stay at the campsite. It was very quiet and we had a lot of wallabies and Rosellas at the campsite. Tee is a very friendly host. It was a very nice stay on Magnetic Island.

A bit of a farm feeling, with heaps of kangaroos at roaming at night. Very welcoming reception by all at Tee’s land. Good location and spacious sites.

We had an amazing stay at the Forts campsite in our campervan! The hosts were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make us feel at home, even sharing fresh eggs from their free-roaming chickens. The location was serene and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The bush shower was surprisingly comfortable and added a touch of adventure to the experience. :) We honestly wish we could have stayed longer.

We had a fantastic night stay at Tee's accommodation on Magnetic Island. Tania and Steve were absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to make our stay so wonderful. The accommodation was absolutely beautiful. Tania & Steve couldn't have been more helpful. We were really tight on time and wouldn't have managed to see much of Magnetic Island, but Tania & Steve very kindly drove us around and showed us places we wouldn't have got to see. We had a wonderful stay on Magnetic Island. Tee and Steve were very friendly and welcoming. Making our stay very enjoyable.
No access to power suited us fine. The bush shower on the property was lovely and refreshing. The site was large and the communal sitting area was a great space for our kids to play.
We did the Island Time boat tour - kids had an absolute ball - spotted turtles, stingrays, amazing fish and beautiful coral. Also did a spot of fishing.
We swam everyday in the nets and at Alma bay. Did not spot a stinger (nov)
Forts walk was great and we ate out at some beautiful restaurants - Batefoot, Saltwater - and coffee in the morning at Tiny Palms (they have a pool) was perfect.

We loved absolutely everything about that camping! Tee and Steve were there to show us around and answer any questions we would have. Also the place is just perfect! You can even stand there while not self contained (with a little bit more of effort). Tee and Steve also gave us some great tips for the island and we wish we could have stayed longer than two nights.
