Wash Creek Campsite
We loved the privacy of this campground. Beautiful paddock with trees surrounding and a running creek. We spent our time relaxing, watching the resident wildlife, including an azure kingfisher. . The campsite was shady, clean and big enough for a small group, if wished. 15 minutes up to Maleny.

Really enjoyed the peace and quiet at platypus gorge.
Couldn’t see any neighbours, site was massive.
Loads of birds and cicadas and a few cows too!
Looking at going back again and taking friends with us.

Its a lovely place too camp but we where a little disappointed, firewood arrived late in the day, camper site was not maintained well, grass was long so it was good a decided too take my whipper snipper, rubbish left in the fire pit from previous campers im guessing. At just after 6 am the 2nd morning there, someone at the white house up early whipper snipping and on the ride on mower. Not much water in the creek and there where leaches in the water what was there. We where there for 4 days, tried too find some walking tracks but more or less had too make our own. Aside from them issues, its still a lovely spot and it was peaceful at times, this place has good potential, but we probably won't go back again.

A well maintained little patch near a creek on your own. There are neighbours nearby but you can't see them. An absolutely beautiful drive in, what a magic part of the world!

Such a quiet spot. The camp sites are mowed and clean. Ours was very spacious and away from other spots which is what we prefer. We all went for multiple paddles in the lagoon. We got a few visits from the cows which was fantastic!
We did go on one of the suggested bush walks, though couldn't seem to find our way around the whole loop so turned around and came back the same way. The walk was lovely - a bit overgrown but it is as expected with a bush walk.

Lovely spot. We’ve been lucky enough to stay on a couple of these sites at Stanley park. Always wonderful. Lovey surroundings. Peaceful, plenty of birds and far enough away from other sites. Love it. Thanks for having us again

Enjoyed the peace and quiet in a lovely spot right next to a little stream. The water was cold and refreshing for a dip after setting up camp for the night. Very well maintained site, highly recommend.

This spot is amazing, really quiet & secluded. It was great to be so close to the creek. It's a lovely, well kept grassy area with a beaut fire pit.
We chose this area as it was away from other campsites as our one dog is pretty reactive.
The tracks were great, such a beautiful property, though we may have inadvertently created our own tracks.
We would definitely love to go back!

Very peaceful and quiet spot. There was a running creek going past the Wash Creek campsite with plenty of shade options. I even had a visit from some cows grazing in the morning. Plenty of room for larger set ups / groups.

It’s great that people open up their home for campers.
1: I’d mow it prior to campers arriving. It’s fine when it’s dry but when it’s wet and long not so good.
2: Nothing you can do about this one I think someone in the area has geese and late at night on Sunday night not the best.
So good things about it was that we had the area to ourselves and it was mostly quite. Nice shady area and would be good for a large family of about 3 campers.

Black Lagoon was awesome, massive private campsite, ducks, kangaroos, cows. Started reading a book and completely turned off with no wifi. Sorry we didn’t meet host.

We loved this quiet and peaceful bush camp. Surrounded by trees and bird song we had a very relaxing weekend away. This is a spot we hope to return to.

Stan and Lyndal were fantastic hosts who were friendly and very accommodating in sharing their wonderful property with us. We enjoyed the privacy, tranquility and beautiful scenery throughout the property, and loved the rainforest loop walk, the black lagoon and the rainforest creek. The wide-open grassed areas allowed us to have a kick of the footy, and a game of family cricket. Access to water on the property via a hose and tap was a huge plus as we easily filled our jerry cans to top up the caravan, and access to a dump point was nearby at Maleny. Jackie and I, the kids and border collie very much loved our stay, and we will be back again one day soon. Thanks for having us Stan and Lyndal.

Loved our stay at Stanlyn Park. The site on Wash Creek was very private, and such a beautiful spot to relax. It was weird only being an hour from home, yet it felt like we were so far away. Thank you Stan for sharing your property with us, we will be sure to visit with our dogs in future.

What a wonderful quiet camp site. It was so nice to just be alone with my family and no other people at all. Lovely little creek to play in. We had an amazing time. Thank you for this little spot in the trees.

Platypus Gorge
Large private campgrounds that were well maintained. Loved the sounds of all the birds that chirped all day long. Campground was well shaded that kept us cool during the heat of the day.
