Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Escape to a peaceful 7-acre bushland retreat surrounded by the picturesque beauty of more than 300 olive trees. Whether you're travelling with a caravan, motorhome or camper, there's plenty of space to relax, and a large shed is available to accommodate even the biggest vans or motorhomes if required. Located just 2 km from Gayndah, Queensland's oldest town (established in 1849) on the Burnett Highway, you'll enjoy the perfect balance of quiet country living with convenient access to local amenities and attractions. Situated in the North Burnett, home of the iconic Big Orange, the area offers plenty to see and do. Explore scenic lookouts with free BBQ facilities, enjoy boating or fishing on the local weir, visit the museum, relax in the parks, cool off at the public pool, or grab a meal at one of Gayndah's three hotels. Fishing enthusiasts will appreciate the property's proximity to several major dams, including Boondooma Dam, famous for its annual fishing competitions. Travellers also have easy access to a dump point and a picnic area located beside the Big Orange at Zonhoven Park. Whether you're passing through or looking for a relaxing country escape, this quiet olive grove setting is an ideal base to experience the best of the North Burnett.Choose from a variety of spacious campsites throughout the property, whether you prefer a secluded bush setting or a site closer to the sheds where power is available. We'll meet you on arrival and show you the available camping areas so you can choose the spot that best suits your stay. Pets are welcome, however they must remain on a leash at all times. We have our own dogs on the property who are securely contained within a fenced area but are not friendly with other dogs, so please ensure your pets are kept well away from them. Campfires are welcome when local fire restrictions are not in place, and a fire pit is provided for guests to enjoy. Please check current fire conditions and use fires responsibly. BYO firewood. Guests must be self contained with their own toilet facilities. Relax, unwind, and enjoy the peace and quiet of this beautiful bushland property, just minutes from the historic town of Gayndah.
