We enjoyed the wide open space, rolling hills spotted with big trees and roaming cattle.

Great place everything u need great country style accommodation absolutely will be booking again also ample fire wood yabby pots big timber slab table to easily fit 10 ppl bbq full size fridge can’t rate this place because it’s exactly what I love

Rocky Creek Campground
Kurt, the host, was an absolute top bloke. Went out of his way to accomodate our needs and ensured that we were satisfied. He’s a legend and he was very much appreciated. The property is stunning, and the serenity is off the charts. The camping spot is next to a big dam which we spent a lot of our days in, with some little rock pools further upstream. 10/10 would very much recommend this spot to anyone whose travelling in the area, or if you need a getaway.

I found this hidden gem very last minute and it definitely did not dissapoint. Great location and the lodge had the majority of things required for an enjoyable stay.
My only suggestion for improvement would be:
- Signage on the gate to the property as it wasn't clear what gate we had to enter the property through.
- Mattress protectors on all beds
Overall my family and I had a great stay and we can't wait to come back! :)

Great spot by the dam, nice and peaceful rural aspect with a great view.
Easy access with van.
Fast response from host when messaging.
Camped with 4 dogs on leash.
Would definitely recommend.

We stayed at Rocky Creek Lodge for only one night as a spontaneous trip away, we are a large family with kids aged between 3-12 and were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves, it was the best night we have had away in ages, it was so peaceful, relaxing and just beautiful! My kids absolutely LOVED it!

The Lodge was awesome. Jacoba’s recommendation made us keen to explore. Fantastic spot away from all the hustle and bustle of suburbia. Easy to get to after a lovely drive West, very comfortable digs with gas, power, hot water, fresh water fishing and walks for hours. Loved it, Kurt was a terrific host - we’ll be back!

If you’re looking to get away for some peace and quiet without the added pressure of having to take everything with you, then you are more than catered for at Rocky Creek Lodge. As a family of four novice campers with minimal experience and equipment the cabin was well equipped with all of the basic amenities, which meant we didn’t want for anything. The vast property provided uninterrupted scenic views in every direction. Being the only tenants at the time meant we felt like we were in a world of our own. We loved spending our days chatting by the fire-pit overlooking the water and basking in the serenity. Other activities we enjoyed checking off were fishing, bushwalking, spotting wildlife, playing with the children and taking photos. The hosts were friendly and kind and mentioned that they were only a phone call away should we need anything. We would highly recommend a stay at Rocky Creek Lodge!

Loved the peace and quiet away with view of green pastures and blue skies and night stars . Perfect p place to chill with your dog and crowd of friends around the firepit. Good hot showers. Need to take own bedding, black bags for rubbish and clothes for cleaning

We enjoyed our stay at Rocky Creek Lodge. We had a not so smooth start due to pouring rain, not so clear instructions of location and no answer from host. Thankfully we knew someone that had stayed here prior to call. They said they got confused on instructions during their arrival too and also had to call. (It’s the gate with the witches hat next to it). When we arrived we were so grateful that we chose the lodge to stay in as it had ample under cover area for the kids to run around and play during the bad weather. The lodge surpassed our expectations and was very well equipped. It’s the bush so expect critters and cobwebs, it’s part of it! There is a bin listed in the facilities but when we couldn’t find it we msged and found out it was broken so were asked to take all our garbage into town which was a bit unexpected. Overall, despite a few minor hiccups, we did have a fantastic stay on this wonderful property and ended up having some good weather too.

We had a great time at Rocky Creek. Our kids loved swimming and paddling in the pond, we had great night skies and the facilities were perfect for us as a family of five. The place had all we needed in terms of BBQ, fridge, toilet, a nice eating area, 3 bedrooms and a living room. There were no other people on the acreage, so privacy was great. Yarraman also had a nice selection of galleries and coffee shops as well as a restaurant, which I think is more than most villages in the area.

We really enjoyed spending the long weekend camping at rocky creek. The kids really enjoyed the dam. It was also lovely that we were allowed to use the toilet and shower even though it’s not included in the camping fee. Will definitely come back

Our family stay at Rocky Creek Lodge was a huge success. Teens and tweens had a great time playing on the dam with kayak, inflatables (byo), swimming and brilliant fishing. Lovely views and sunsets, a perfect camping vibe but with protection from storms, excellent 'camp kitchen' style cooking facilities, hot shower and oodles of great outdoors and spread out in. If rustic serenity is your thing, you will love Kurt's place. We hope to come again!

Rocky Creek Lodge 'could' be a 5 star stay... but, unfortunately the state of the accommodation was far from welcoming. Rustic doesn't have to mean unclean... the state of the bedrooms really dropped the overall experience.
With two simple improvements I would rate Rocky Creek Lodge 5 star.
1. Clean the rooms! From disgusting yellow pillows to mold on the mattress.
2. Fly screens &/or fans in the bedrooms (maybe a heater for the winter months
Those complaints aside...
The location is fantastic, amazing sunsets & clear night skies meant we were spotting satellites, stars & planets with the kids after roasting marshmallows on the fire pit.
Rocky Creek was great for the kids to get the SUP and kayaks onto the water and cool down on a hot day. Fishing wasn't great but I'm sure that was more user error ;)
Everything you need for an easy weekend away is supplied (could do with a better description of the lodge in that regards) so even though we had our camping gear with us it mostly stayed packed away.
Overall, I had a great weekend... but others in our party said they wont be back in it's current state which is a real shame because Rocky Creek Lodge has so much potential :(

This a great rustic spot for something different. The site/location is very quiet and private. It would be a great choice for a large group where you have some people willing to sleep in tents or trailers and a few who can use the rooms/beds provided at the Lodge. Kurt was a fantastic host, always available by call or text. The Lodge has most of what you need, the only critisim is the fridge is likely on it's last legs. You should plan to use your esky and ice if you want to ensure your food remains safe and cold.

The Rocky creek lodge is rustic though very will appointed. The manager is very attentive and easy to get along with.
The site is a little challenging to find if you have not been there before.
We choose this site as it is one of the few on Hipcamp listed as accessible for wheelchairs. While we did need to use our portable ramp to get up on to the under cover concrete slab / outdoors area the bathroom was accessible. However, the rooms in the lodge were not.
Overall great spot for fishing, kayaking and relaxing.

The lodge has a great set up for a group, particularly with the outdoor kitchen and dining set up. All the essentials seemed to be provided for cooking with the provided stove and bbq. Bring your own linen and toilet paper.
Wife doesn't like camping so was a great spot where she got a bed and I set up the swag for the me and the kids. Best of both worlds. Living room with a working tv which came in useful when the kids were getting feral while we were trying to pack up at the end of our stay.
Didn't manage to catch any fish but got plenty of yabbies. Thinking of coming back with another family to make the most of all the space.

Enjoyed a great weekend away at Rocky Creek. Loved the picturesque location by the dam, and set well away from any roads allowing for peaceful nights. Great communication from Kurt and Carly, would highly recommend.

What a fantastic little getaway we had at Rocky Creek. It was easy to find & communication with the hosts was great. Having the lodge near by & being able to use the hot shower & toilet an added bonus, we were also offered use of the outdoor kitchen facilities if needed. We loved sitting around the huge fire pit at night & star gazing.
