The Lakehouse Creekside Hipcamp
We had a perfect spot at number 4, plenty of full sun for solar collection.
Plenty of open grassed space for the kids to play, the creek was also fantastic for both big and small kids to play and swim in.
Just a note that there is no water available at all and if you need to top up tanks you will need to collect from town.
We are a big rig and had no issues with getting in or out.
We will definitely be back next time we are up that way.

Great place to camp - adequate sun (for solar & starlink) on any site (except # 1). Kids spent hours swimming & playing in the creek. Enjoyed the 2 horses coming and visiting morning & afternoon for pats & carrots. Short 10 minute drive into Mossman town centre.

The Lakehouse Creekside Hipcamp
This place was peaceful, and being able to swim in the crystal-clear creek was absolutely beautiful. The horses and Billy's dog Obi loved to visit the camp every day, which we enjoyed. We would highly recommend staying here.

Stopped for one night on our way North, would recommend this spot. Kids loved a swim in the creek, couple of cheeky horses who dropped by for a visit were also a hit.

We had a great few days camping at Miallo Lakehouse recently. Set on a clear, shallow creek the campsites were lush grass and very well maintained. Very peaceful spot.

Nice little campsite by the creek. We stayed at site 1 which was at the end of the row of sites, nice amount of shade. The creek entry was lovely and shallow for little kids.

It was an absolutely amazing stay! The creek was so beautiful we went for a swim in the morning before making breakfast it was unreal. Feeding the horses and cows before we left was also fun

A very beautiful peaceful creek side spot. No one else and well maintained. Lots of birds and easy to find and see the site locations, 1-4. Met the horse in the morning and cows. Swam in the creek at our site and also near the bridge. Water was incredible. So peaceful. Thank you for sharing your property. 🙏

We spent one night beside a beautiful Creek, lovely grass underfoot, with sweet little birds visiting our site, lit the fire and had the grounds to ourselves. Walked up to see the horses and cows late afternoon.
One night wasn’t enough two would be a minimum if you love the solitude of nature!

Lovely spot! Very quiet and nice to be away from ‘the world’ for a couple of days. Loved visiting the cows and horses every morning and afternoon! Would highly recommend for a little getaway for some peace and quiet and a good relax! We will be back!

Breakfast with the horses. The kids loved the rope swing.

We loved staying at the Miallo “The Lake house” camp grounds.
Clear water, nice shade from the trees and plenty of grass area to move about on.
We will be back with a bunch of friends for sure.

The Lakehouse Creekside Hipcamp
Great spot as only allows small number of caravans/campers. Loved that we could have a camp fire and dogs are welcome too. Beautiful crystal clear running creek and large grassed area with plenty of shade. Only problem for us was timing with the wet season not being completely over, grass was quite wet and a few muddy boggy spots where people had left only days before. We had to make the call at 5.30am on our last morning to pack up in the rain and leave, as we were concerned about getting bogged on leaving as the ground was very soggy, and we were the only ones there.
Grass could have done with a whipper-snip around the pathways to the creek edge, .maybe owner didn't have time after Easter weekend before we arrived on the Tuesday afternoon?
All in all, a lovely spot particularly if you have children. Did think the price was a bit high also considering no power or water, but lovely for the owners to share a little piece of their paradise.
Horses were very friendly 🫠

It's a very nice and quiet place. Lots of room per site. Plenty of sun and plenty of shade. Small river is beautiful and quite good for kids. Really enjoyed staying there.

This was a fantastic spot for families with young children - the well-maintained, level sites are perfect, and the shallow creek nearby is great for splashing around. The swing was a bonus for the kids! Great place to spend the day and enjoy a camp fire in the evenings. Will definitely return
