This was our 2nd trip to Larapinta, it's a really awesome property to relax and unwind on. We will certainly be back one day soon.
Camp site 7 was mowed, with a large tree for early morning and late afternoon shade. It's a slightly elevated position with excellent sunset views. The amenities are close enough to walk to but it's a bit of a hill. The site is super private, you will occasionally see another 4wd drive by... but that's about it, you truely do get to unwind here and take in nature without being bothered by other people. It's really awesome.
Access for site 7 was on the easy side of 4wd difficulty, but you definitely need a capable 4WD. The track was easy to get up in dry conditions with light/moderate all terrain tyres. Definitely would not recommend the trip in road tyres, especially if it's wet.
The property itself is super fun to explore, there's plenty of 4wd tracks from easy to extreme. There's a lot of cows that roam around so you might see them around your site or you might not.
The hosts are lovely to deal with. They are helpful, kind, and willing to help you, but in return they expect you follow the rules, of which I think are very fair and reasonable.
We will come back again for sure. Awesome spot. Lovely hosts.
