Campsite 1 - Mane Meadow
So nice to be close to home. Beautiful property on the creek with plenty of space for everyone to run around and free use of watercraft. Wonderful property for kids who enjoyed daily visits from the horses, ducks and goats.

Campsite 1 - Mane Meadow
Great little spot, Jenna was great especially with the kids and involving them with the farm animals. We were lucky enough to meet a baby goat only a couple of days old. My daughter especially loved the horses and the fact that they just walk right up into your camp! Definitely recommend for the animal lovers

Absolutely awful experience at The Grazing Grounds. This place should not be listed, let alone advertised as family-friendly.
The horses were completely out of control — they literally walked straight into our campsite, stood all over our gear, licked everything, and ended up damaging our solar panels and fridge. They were invasive and relentless. We had our young family with us, and they were genuinely terrified. At one point we had to lock ourselves in the tent just to get some space from them. That is not a camping experience — that’s a safety issue.
To make things worse, we paid for goat food that was never delivered. No explanation, no follow-up — just another example of how poorly this place is run.
There was next to no communication from the owner. No greeting, no check-in, nothing. It felt like we were completely on our own dealing with a situation that clearly isn’t new.
The toilets? Disgusting. Completely unusable. I wouldn’t even risk guessing what you could catch using them. For a place that advertises amenities, this was beyond unacceptable.
We ended up leaving a day early because we just couldn’t stay there any longer.
0 stars if I could give it. This experience has honestly put me off trusting another Hipcamp site again. Avoid at all costs.

We had a fantastic weekend away at Horseshoe Hideaway! Slowing down, hanging out with the horses, spending time by the creek and relaxing with our friends was exactly what we needed.
The kids had the BEST time exploring, playing and being outdoors. Thanks for a memorable stay!

Horseshoe Hideaway has a lot of potential! The weekend we went, it had been raining on and off so unfortunately the ground was very muddy (out of anybody’s control). The grass was extremely long and there was a lot of old scraps around (metal sheets, old buckets etc). The portable toilets were quite dirty and had run out of water so were unable to be flushed. However, the horses were very friendly and love a pat. Really nice location - perfect to watch the sunset and sit by the creek. The road noise nearby was pretty quiet, we weren’t disturbed by it at all. Overall, it is worth a go as it has a lot of potential, just a shame it wasn’t great the weekend we went.

Campsite 2 - Creekside
We had a lovely time with our small kids. We got unlucky with the weather so it was pretty muddy and messy but still fun. It's a very pretty spot. Close-ish to the highway but nothing some foam earplugs couldn't more than solve.
I'm a bit nervous around horses generally but these horses were fine. They absolutely came up close and personal when we first got there and once or twice afterwards but when they saw we had no food and were pretty light on pats they went on their way.
Rustic is fair and amenities were very basic, there were a few things that needed some repair (hammock, slide) but all in all a great, albeit wet weekend.

Stayed 2 nights at horse shoe hideaway grazing grounds, we loved it beautiful scenery river & swings for the kids. Also bikes and kayaks to use. Our favourite part having the horses, dogs, ducks, goats just cruising around camp. Really nice :)

Beautiful property with friendly resident animals... horses, goats, geese & dogs.
Hum from the nearby highway but wasn't too bad or distracting.
Perhaps reconsider after or during heavy rain as the ground becomes quite muddy.

We absolutely adored our night spent here! It was secluded and spacious. The creek was great to swim in. Our favourite part was of course the horses. They were so friendly and social. The host Jenna, was super nice and easy-going. Would recommend this place to anyone who wants to feel like they are at a beautiful rejuvenating retreat.

Camping at site 2 down by the creek is where it’s at. The horses and goats were so friendly, roaming around your campsite. Kayaks by the river to use and a nice communal fire pit to sit around. Beautiful stay, will be back ☺️

Camping with horses and goats!! Beautiful, peaceful, quiet, lots of space. We were self contained and only stayed one night in the Grazing Camp but we loved hanging out with the friendly and free roaming horses.

The land was flat. Located in a great spot between the Sunshine Coast and Nambour. Plenty to do if you want to or just sit back and relax.

Campsite 1 - Mane Meadow
Horseshoe Hideaway was a lovely little weekend getaway without the 1hr + drive. It was easy to find, close to town, budget friendly and the hosts were lovely. Definitely somewhere we will be back to in the future.
Only two small improvements I could suggest would be individual fire pits (the gentleman hanging around the shed pulled some bricks out for us to make our own which was massively appreciated) and mowing a bit further back in the sites so when other campers spread right out, the people who do have to go behind them aren’t in shin deep grass.

Campsite 3 - The Grazing Grounds
We recently stayed at Horseshoe Hideaway Hipcamp for our very first Hipcamp experience — and our first trip away in our caravan — and we couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to both!
The property is beautiful and peaceful, and the horses were such a highlight. We were honestly surprised by how friendly and gentle they were. It made the whole stay feel really special, especially for our girls.
Jenna was an absolutely wonderful host. She kindly took our two girls for a pony ride and made them feel completely comfortable and excited. She’s warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what she does. We also really appreciated her taking the time to teach us all about the horses — it added so much to the experience.
Thank you for such a memorable first Hipcamp stay. We’d happily recommend Horseshoe Hideaway to anyone looking for a unique and family-friendly getaway!

Jenna's spot is so lovely! Just what we needed for a one night stop over. 'Showering' in the river was fun, and the horses wandering freely among the campers was great! The portable toilets could have used a little more attention, but maybe we just caught them at a bad time (arrived late at night). Overall a great stay.

Great place. Having the horses come up and be cheeky was a funny experience but definitely not a bad experience.
Great place to chill out and stuff for kids very cheap horse riding and free kayaks to use on the river
Have to be self sufficient but they do have toilets
Stayed 3 nights and could’ve stayed longer.
Owners very friendly
Highly recommend will stay again
