The Dairy is situated on a 100 acre hobby farm that has animals (sheep, chickens, ducks, horses, pigs and cows) an olive grove of 150 trees, and the Albert River flowing through it. Guests will have access to 100 acres of private farm and forest. Bushwalks, picnics or fishing and swimming in the Albert river that runs through the property. Guest have access to all animal enclosures and paddocks to feed the animals and explore the property. For the ultimate farmstay experience you can opt in or out of taking on all the farming duties of the farm for the duration of your stay. Farming duties include: 1) feeding the pigs, chickens and ducks 2) collecting the eggs and either eating them or taking them home with you 3) Letting out the sheep and poultry of a morning and locking them up at night 4) collecting and splitting firewood 5) checking the water troughs of the animals including the horses and cows. Few farmstays offer this much immersion and freedom in a real working farm setting. And if all this sounds too much at anytime you can simply opt out and let the onsite caretakers do it all.
