Family Cabin - Pet Friendly

We loved it at Country Style in our Camper Trailer. A riverside unpowered site (The Woods) with beautiful views over the Severn River, peaceful with lovely cool breezes coming from the river over the site. Beautiful little families of Fairy Wrens and Coots, ducks and all sorts of other birdlife. It is a bit of a trek up to the amenities from there, but we had our ensuite annexe up and it wasn’t an issue. If you are using the showers, it is $1 for 6mins - hot & cold, so if you forget to take coins to amenities with you, you can’t even have a cold shower - remeber to take your coins ! Situated on the Highway, perfect for winery and distillery trips, but you cannot hear or see the road from the river end of the park. We had a big storm roll through on our second night, just before dark, and as soon as the rain stopped Ben (the Owner) was out in the park checking on all of their guests to make sure we were all safe & cleaning up the roads and paths before it got dark. The owners keep the park & amenities clean and there are goats to talk tooand a great little off-leash dog park (which our Pupper had a ball in - sniffing & exploring). I can’t recommend this park enough and we will definitely be back.

The pet friendly cabins were well equipped and in a very good condition. We were fortunate to have booked the family cabin which included a bathroom with a shower. We were a group of 12 people getting together to celebrate new years. With was fire ban in place at the time we told we could cook over coals however we weren’t informed coals needed to be within a closed fire pit. The owner went off at us and told us to put everything out in the middle of cooking our meal. The facilities on site were not too great for kids. The creek was very unpleasant to swim in as it had way too much weeds. Not much activities to keep the kids entertained. The communal kitchen could do with an upgrade in cleanliness and utensils as well. Although the website looks very welcoming it did not feel the same in reality. The Hipcamp website indicated check out was before 12 however the owner came to collect the keys at 10:30. We hope the owner would consider improving their communication and facilities but until then we will not be visiting again.

Pet friendly cabin was very comfortable and clean. Large leash free area for dogs was fab. BBQ area and camp kitchen facilities were also great. The reason we stayed there (a group of caravan campers and cabin stayers) was because of the lovely photos of the river on their website. Reality was very different. The water was stagnant, muddy and full of weeds. Due to caravan sites along the bank, access to the water was very limited. You could walk across the weir but entry to the water was slippery, slimey and dangerous for young children. Quite disappointing. It wasn’t worth a 4 hour drive from the Gold Coast.

Relaxing Stay 👍

This was our first stay at Country Style Caracas Park and it was lovely. The sites are a great size the amenities where clean the ground are well kept. The off leash dog area is a great idea, as we travelled with two dogs. There are so many positive things about this place. Definitely worth a stop in for any travelling in that direction you won't be disappointed. 🙂

This was the first stay at Country Style Caravan Park and it was lovely. We stayed on a powered sites which are a great size. The facilities where clean the grounds well kept. We had two dogs with us and the off leash dog area was great to give them a run. There are so many positive things about this place. We will definitely stay there again.

A peqceful camp near Stanthorpe

Camping so close to the river side with the sound of a waterfall nearby was peaceful. And being so close to all the food, wine and attractions that Stanthorpe is famous for was perfect.

Good stopping off point, not far from Stanthorpe for topping up supplies, usual supermarkets etc. Basic facilities but all in good order. Beautiful setting down by the river, very tranquil.

Beautiful camo spot! We were welcomed by Ben who was super friendly and helpful! On arrival we told us our camping spot wasn’t next to the river and asked if we wanted to change, which u thought was very nice to offer. Toilet and kitchen areas were well equipped, spotless and in very good condition. The view of the lake was spectacular, as was the little walk to the water fall where you can see streams and rock pools. It was everything we wanted in a campsite! Would definitely go back. Thank you so much

What a great place to stay! We were right on the river which treated us to spectacular sunsets, peacefulness and a wonderful view. Would totally go back here at any time. Very friendly helpful staff, amenities were spotless, sites on the river well spaced out, was just fantastic. Thank you!

My improvement suggestion is to have numbered sites and let us pick when making the reservation. Pictures of the river view sites doesn't quite match the reality. When making the booking didn't realise they have riverside and riverview, was impressed by the pictutes and that was it. It was a long weekend and we left after work, we were unlucky to be one of the last ones to arrive and our view was more like amenities view. Besides that the stay was pleasant, respectful neighbours, and nice amenities. Showers runs with 1 dollar coin only, cold or hot, no coin no shower...

I would highly recommend this to someone who is going to Stanthorpe. The location is really good and near a river. It’s still cold there. The facilities are really clean. They sell wood and ice so you just can buy it from there. So convenient. They also have a kitchen area that has lots of equipment. You will definitely enjoy it there.

Queen studio

Great location and staff were pleasant. We usually camp but for this weekend we decided to book a cabin. Very overpriced for a cabin with no toilet or shower and we were slugged an extra cleaning fee of $30 which was not disclosed when I paid and booked. We booked a pet friendly cabin. Would definitely return as a camper as it was a pet friendly park

A Relaxing Stay!

We enjoyed our short stay at this lovely campsite. The location is great—peaceful and close to a river/small dam, which made for a relaxing getaway. The camp kitchen was equipped, with hot water and fridges available for food storage. The hot showers were a nice bonus, just a small coin fee to use them. The owners were friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome. We’ll definitely be back!
