PLEASE NOTE: WE HAVE 6 SITES WITH EACH SITE HAVING A LEFT AND A RIGHT OPTION. LEFT AND RIGHT IS AS YOU ARE LOOKING AT THE CREEK. ALL SITES ARE NEXT TO EACH OTHER ON THE CREEK, STARTING AT 1L 1R 2L 2R 3L 3R 4L 4R 5L 5R 6L 6R. ALL SITES HAVE CREEK FRONTAGE. ALL CAMPERS MUST HAVE THEIR OWN PORTABLE TOILET. Christmas Creek Bush Retreat enjoys absolute creek frontage on the banks of the crystal clear everflowing Christmas Creek. Perfect for kayaking, floating on an inflatable lounge or swimming in the warmer months or to simply watch and listen to the rapids. The property boasts 160 acres with camp sites situated on a large flat well maintained grassy paddock, all sites look out to the creek and mountains beyond. Easy access for 2WD and 4WD vehicles with plenty of room to turn around. Campers MUST be fully self-sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities. Porta-loos are available to hire at additional cost for your stay, please message for pricing. Please place all waste in bin provided. Please ensure all waste is bagged. Dog friendly, however ALL dogs must be on a lead at ALL times and picked up after. Campfires are permitted in designated fire pits ONLY, but may be subject to fire bans. Situated a 1/2 hour drive South of Beaudesert, following the signs to Rathdowney and turning onto Christmas Creek Road that veers to the left. 26kms along the very picturesque Christmas Creek Road and you arrive at a little bit of paradise in the Scenic Rim. So much to see and do in the area, a short drive to the Lost World Tourist Drive and Tommerups Dairy to name a few. Further along Christmas Creek Road takes you past the Christmas Creek Cafe and onto Lamington National Park and bushwalks to the Stinson Memorial Crash Site and Larapinta Falls. WOW - what a fabulous location! Hosts were super friendly and helpful; sites were huge and immaculately maintained; creek was beautiful - dog and I didn't want to leave! I highly recommend and hope to return when next in that part of AUS! PS when booking, the reference to Left and Right site numbers was a little confusing, but it just means they are next to each other.

Caralyn’s directions to site were great. Site 1R, the whole area along the creek, was beautiful on levelish well maintained grass you could walk barefoot on. 1R had a mixture of shade and sun in the morning. Alongside site is a sterdy deck with table & chairs. There was direct access to creek for a wade/sit on a rock, refreshing on a hot day. A large industrial bin was available. It was a relaxing place to unwind and spot a variety of bird life. Certainly had a restful time and felt safe. Loved the fairy lights on the tree💜

Beautiful, peaceful place to stay. The creek was crystal clear, deep enough for a relaxing dip or to sit back and listen to it running over the rocks. Friendly cows, birds, turtles and fish to watch whilst sitting around a fire. Definitely recommend staying on this property and the owners are lovely.

What a great location, large well maintained sites. We took site 6R as it was more private, van needed leveling, however, no big issue. Hosts are very welcoming. Creek flowing past made for a relaxing weekend. Saw someone catch a fish in the creek. Highly recommended

What an incredible spot! The sites are huge and well maintained. Firewood was delivered to site with the fire pits at the ready. It’s peaceful and the perfect spot to stop and do nothing. We will definitely be back!

We loved camping at Christmas Creek. The site was pristine and the views of the creek were lovely. It was nice to have a paddle in the creek on a hot day. Caralyn was a lovely host and was very hospitable. Thank you for a lovely weekend and we will definately be back.

Another wonderful weekend at Christmas Creek! Stunning location, beautifully maintained! It doesnt really matter which site you choose, they are all very spacious! There is no phone service at all(Telstra), to be aware of! Thankyou to Caralyn for opening up your beautiful property☺️

This was a great Hipcamp. Sites were large, flat and really well maintained. The creek was lovely and great for the site to be dog friendly. Communication by the hosts was prompt and the hosts kindly checked in on us in person.

Beautiful spot to camp, it's a hidden gem. Grass is always well maintained, and the sites are massive. Beautiful view on either side of the camp. Highly recommend this spot.

Definitely will be going back. It was a wonderful campground and the hosts were lovely. We stayed at on site 3L and we had two vans and there was still lots of spare room.

This is our 2nd time here. The site was very spacious, super clean, and had a lovely grassy area with easy access to the creek. Our family was staying at the site next door which made our area feel even bigger. It’s dog friendly and the kids were never bored with plenty of room to explore. The owner was fantastic and offered firewood and ice for sale, which was so convenient. Toilets were available for hire and there were rubbish bins on-site – such a rare bonus for a Hipcamp stay.

This spot never disappoints! Such a great spot for the kids, the creek is amazing and the kids get to help feed the cows in the afternoons, which our kids looked forward to all day. It was the most relaxing stay and we love the fact we can hire a portable toilet to make our stay that much easier! The hosts are amazing and so welcoming. Love the fact you can buy ice and firewood from them too (although we couldn't buy wood this time due to the fireban, which was a shame but still such a great stay.

We loved our four night stay at Christmas Creek Road Bush Retreat. Its a perfect spot close to Brisbane to relax and unwind. We stayed on site 6 Creek frontage and it was magic. Carolyn and David were excellent hosts.

We enjoyed having space to spread out in the generous site and splashing in the creek. We loved seeing the cows grazing and stargazing at night beside the fire. The location was good too; not too far from Beaudesert if we needed anything but felt very quiet, even though the campsite backs on to a road. Overall, a lovely peaceful spot!

We absolutely loved the site. The owners were lovely and it was such a beautiful creek. Super well kept. They had bins for recyclables and general waste. We will definitely visit here again.
