Cherrabah - Unpowered Site 1
Beautiful spot, easy going ladies and lads on the property, beautiful animals, camp fire spot already in place so made picking a spot easy. Info on the amenities- hot showers 😍, normal toilet as well for those that don't like drop toilets.

Cherrabah - Unpowered Site 1
Easter weekend 2023
The unpowered site was flat, grassy and spacious. The toilets and showers were great, cleaned twice daily. Our site was well away from the dirt bikes which was great.

Quiet with country water views!
Beautiful quiet site overlooking the dam. We arrived late but easy to find. A gentle slope down to the dam but easy to find a fairly level spot. Hot showers available and power.

It was an absolute ghost town, very sad to see. They were actually closed but nobody informed us , so they let us stay. We were booked in for 2 nights, but only stayed one . It is very dated, but would have been great in the day, it was a shame to see it not operating

Site 7 - Cherrabah - Power Site
Facilities very degraded and not as pictured. Water was not potable but advertised as such. The place turned into a chaotic motocross with my many high powered and noisy bikes and vehicles taking over the roads and tracks so VERY VERY unsafe. Toilets were relatively new but were cleaned once in 4 days.

Trail bike riders dream camping loc
Cherrabah “resort” is a beautiful property, close to Warwick, easy drive to Stanthorpe, Killarney or Boonah. The resort facilities are well past their use by date sadly but as campers, we were not concerned about having any mod cons. The new amenities block was functional but sadly, dirty when we arrived and was not cleaned in the 4 days we were there. This was disappointing with large groups frequenting the amenities, we chose the portaloo in the camper and pommy washes instead. We visited the amenities after all other campers had vacated, being there an additional night, but the amenities remained filthy. As alluded to in my title, this site is a trail bike riders heaven. Unfortunately for us, we don’t enjoy trail bikes. The constant noise from 7.30am to around 5pm drove us out of camp each day for some peace and quiet elsewhere. Sadly the description of this site is misleading unless you are fortunate enough to visit when there are no bikes and no large groups having parties.

We enjoyed our stay here and it was good fun for our 2 year old with the animals. I feel this place has so much potential if the facilities are renovated.

Cherrabah - Unpowered Site 1
Pros: big open sites, animal feeding, water views, hot showers, restaurant serving buffet dinner, there was a pool that was clean. Cons: Very run down, bathrooms were filthy and not cleaned once over Easter long weekend, lots of motocross campers so very noisy and motorbikes everywhere, only animals left were a few chickens and one lonely pony, kayaks available but life jackets were huge and not suitable for kids and kayaks were green with moss/mould and filthy, restaurant is open sometimes no coffee available.

Beautiful scenery, friendly staff, the animals (except for the chicken who stole my piece of bread while I was making Jaffles) and recreational activities are great. Limited flat spots in the unpowered area, but you can work it out. Toilets/showers convenient but can get a bit dirty when busy like Easter (not poo - but wet grass and water build up on the floor) my tip would be to make sure you have your own hand soap and TP when visiting. Bring plenty of drinking water. Stanthorpe and Warwick conveniently close by for food and drinks and tourist stuff. Will likely come back, with the kids in tow next time :)

Quiet and peaceful
Nice spot. Had a small lake for kayaking, plenty of animals for the kids to pat. Good number of functional toilets and showers. Very quiet considering it was school holodays, we were the only ones there for a couple of nights. Will be back.

Lived camping in the unpowered campground. All the livestock, the dam were perfect. My only recommendation would be please mow the unpowered area. The grass was really long.. We will be back in a few weeks to enjoy all you have to offer. Awesome place 10 stars

Room 1
Overall, not very impressed. The room was dirty. We had boogers on our wall. Bit pricy for a “budget accommodation”. Stayed in cheaper motel for one night which was clean and had sheets on the bed. I wouldn’t liked sheets in the bed for $120.

Quiet, but not maintained.
The campground had fantastic near new toilet and shower blocks but they hadn’t been cleaned and 3 of the 8 toilet seats were falling off.

Okay
Looks like it used to be a rocking place once but slowly being run down. $45 to drive the 4wd loop is pretty expensive compared to a 4wd park, certainly would deter most. No restaurant over the busiest period either. Shame because they could do a lot with the place as all the infrastructure is there. Good amenities though.

Great place to stay, we were moved from unpowered area to another due to soggy grounds. Amenities were near new and clean. The area is great for kids. There is good walk and hikes in the property and some good tracks to explore. You can even try and catch fish I'm the lake. Will be back soon

Beautiful place.
A very nice place, appeared not maintained well. Disappointed as All the facilities as per the website were not available, except canoeing and few farm animals. Powered sites were not flat so parking mortorhomes was not a good experience. And there was no dumping and gray water disposal. Owners have a promising potential to improve this facility to make a wonderful experience to campers
