Such a wholesome and lovely spot. The instructions on the location were very clear and we were very pleased with the amenities and space. Host was so lovely. We definitely will be recommending this place to others ! Thank you again !

We had the most wonderful stay here, it was so calm and peaceful listening to the sounds of nature. The cabin is beautiful, it had everything we needed including a mini fridge since we came without any camping gear. We would definitely come back to stay, gorgeous spot to get some much needed R&R without the hassle of packing all of the camping gear. Our only complaint is that we should have stayed for longer!

This cabin was magical, if reconnecting with nature and appreciating how beautiful our outdoors are then you will love this spot. Nice, tidy and inviting, hot shower and tub. Directions were spot on and it was easy to get to, kangaroos came by every afternoon, truly special. Definitely will be back!

Really loved staying here at the captain’s cabin. Super quiet and peaceful spot to chill out during the day and watch the stars at night time. We’ve had the best couple of days here and the place had everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely recommend.

Captain's Cabin
The captain’s cabin offered everything we were searching for in our getaway. It was a chance to slow down and be present—having no phone reception helped! We enjoyed the sounds of nature, the fire, the outdoor bath, the swinging chair, breakfast with a view, and a mini walk down to the dam. It's easy to stay there and remain secluded, but if needed, you can travel to Agnes Waters for whatever you require. We particularly enjoyed a flavourful meal from the African restaurant.
An awesome addition to the cabin would be a proper wash-up area with warm water to do the dishes, considering the cabin is a step up from camping.

We really enjoyed staying at Captains Cabin. It was very private and when others were camping in the grounds, there was enough space for all. The Cabin was quaint and well stocked with everything you would need. The little fan about the bed was great as I'm a hot sleeper. The outside bathtub and shower where an excellent addition and well enjoyed. The long drop was not unpleasant, and all the supplies where avaible to clean and keep the smell to a minimum. The hosts were very responsive and came to fill our drinking water as needed. The mozzies were a bit or a pain, but all supplies were there to help ward them off. The bed was super soft however, having one super tall and one fuller bodied person (haha), it was a little small for us, and we could feel the floor particularly on the hip area. Overall it was a great bush break and not too far to drive into the seaside towns of Angus Water/1770.

Great location, only about 15 minutes into the heart of Agnes Waters and 1770. I went with my dog and we were the only ones at camp (my friend joined me the next day). I felt very safe in my little van. Lots of wildlife, birds and plants to photograph. (I'm a keen vloger and photographer).
The camp fees are very reasonable
My friend had a flat battery and the owners were more than helpful. Thank you for letting us stay. Highly recommend this camp as being peaceful and yet not far from the hustle bustle of the coast.

Lovely place, had the whole place to ourselves. Although we booked at a terrible time with it raining we didn’t get to explore the area. The room doesn’t accommodate more than 2 people, and we had it booked for 3. it’s also pet friendly hence why i booked it, however so much room and my 4 dachshunds never got to run around :(
i would possibly come back if they had a little area to them selves. When leaving after the rain the road was very slippery. but overall it was a great little get away.

I loved my stay here! So quiet and peaceful- had the camping area all to ourselves. The amenities and space were clean and great.
If you need a weekend to disconnect to connect, this place is perfect!

A beautiful little spot, close enough to town and the beach if you need it but far enough away to experience tranquillity.
Sam was super friendly and helpful.

The best!! We absolutely loved Captains Cabin, the A-Frame was so beautifully built as was the Outdoor bath and shower. We had the best stay there, and it was so nice seeing the kangaroos in the paddock. Highly recommend, we will definitely be back

A wonderful off grid get away.
We loved the outdoor bath, fire pit and well equipped cabin.
We also loved that we could bring our border collie.
The afternoon and evening breeze flowered well through the cabin.

I loved the camping space at Captain Creek! The grounds were beautiful and surrounded by nature. The facilities were outstanding! Clean toilet and gorgeous outdoor rain shower. Close to Agnes Water and 1770 but out of the hustle and bustle so you can really enjoy your trip. Would stay again! We love it

1st off I'd like to say the site is so stunning took our breath away everything about our stay was just amazing very quite and relaxing super close to 1770 and our doggos had a amazing time only down side was getting rained on all week but didn't worry us to much. Was suprised to see for the 1st 2 days we had the place to our selfs so added bonus. Would definitely book to stay again was so worth it the photos that Sam has posted doesn't do the place justice

Such an amazing cabin and location. Sam provided everything we needed for such a comfortable stay and relaxing stay. The how outdoors showers and bath under the stars were such a treat and waking up to a view of the kangaroos was a bonus. Highly reccommend and would 100% be back.

Lovely stay at Captains Creek. Beautiful cabin with all the basics you could want. Close to 1770 and surrounds. Great for a peaceful relaxing break. Bath and shower are fabulous. We would definitely stay again if the opportunity arrises. Owners are also very accommodating and helpful. Good value for price paid.
