Best Park by the sea.

It's cheap so I was happy.. The roosters weren't great cockle doodle doin throughout the night but it's a farm so... I did msg the host and they never replied which is fine... It's cheap so just grateful for a place to stay.. The ground was hard even though it had been raining.. There are alot of potholes on the driveway in but nothing to crazy and none on the field itself.

Complimentary rooster wake up calls

We really should have checked the reviews before booking this spot - that’s on us. We chose this spot for its convenient location near an event, but unfortunately, many of the negative reviews were accurate. The property felt more like a large backyard with about six campsites packed closely together. There’s a big gum tree in the middle with a lot of debris caught in the branches, hanging directly above two of the sites. Luckily, ours wasn’t one of them - it looks like a potential hazard if something came down on a car, trailer, or person. We had site #4, the most exposed spot, right next to the owner’s house. They keep chickens that roam freely across the property and at least two roosters that started crowing around 3am. A neighbouring rooster joined in, and by the time we packed up and left around 9am, the occasional crow was still to be heard. If you’re considering staying here and are looking for a relaxing get away, let me save you the trouble - don’t.

Great base camp for families

My daughter asked to go camping again and she chose 'Best Park by the Sea'. She loves the animals and a fire at night and stargazing and close proximity to beaches for swimming, fishing and foraging. It was warmer this time around so there were more mosquitos, but we were well prepared. There is a lot of traffic at night as it's close to Sandstone and residential estates. Doesn't bother us at all. Flat grassy spots to pitch a tent. Other campers are friendly and quiet. It's easy to find and access and an excellent base camp to explore the local area. We were woken by roosters crowing in the early hours of the morning but we were expecting it and appreciated the early wake up. We got to see huge kangaroos and native birds and the cows bought their new born calves for a visit. My daughter got to see baby chicks and to pet one and feed them and was over the moon about it. We had a great stay and will be returning Thanks so much

Should be removed from hipcamp

Do Not Recommend!, rudely awakened by 2 roosters right next to the site. Started at 3 am and didnt stop. Sounded like someone getting strangled just outside our tent. We ended up packing up in the dark and driving somewhere else to get some more sleep. Not to mention the sites are literally 10 to 15 meters from the next one. Much much smaller then in the pictures. Cant believe i paid $24 for that nightmare. Dont Recommend anyone to stay here if you want a full nights sleep.

It’s not a big area but found the way sites were set was good area for a family. There’s roosters that may be confused on timing but wasn’t too bad. The kids loved seeing the cows in the morning. Owners were very polite. The beaches aren’t too far. I really enjoyed my time here

Great location but it was an extremely small block to have 6 other campers on. We were camped right next to the house and the roosters were crowing from 3am. Could be great if they only had one site, not so many people squished into such a small area.

It would be 4 stars for location and cleanliness. The host visited and was lovely also. 1 STAR!!!!!! But only because of the roosters. They woke me up at 3am each morning and they don’t stop until around 10am. They roam round all the vans and keep you up all morning. I was so angry I considered leaving a day early so I could actually get some sleep

This is a nice little home base for exploring the surrounding area and very easy to get to as it is just off the main route. The kids liked to see the cows right next to us and also the chickens walking around.

Exactly as described. Lovely little place. Green grass to pitch your swag. Chooks everywhere and cattle in the paddock adjacent. Daughter loved the animals. Fire pits and plenty of firewood around. 5 minutes to the IGA and 10 minutes to Bribie. Excellent base to explore the area. Bring water and a portaloo if camping. Owners and caretaker are lovely down to earth people. Family loved it will definitely be visiting again.

Turned up to site, Site 1 which we booked for 2 nights including the night before so we could turn up early, had 2 caravans setup on it. Only 4 sites in close proximity, One had what looked like a homeless person in a tent in another and another Caravan parked in the 4th. Went to see Hosts was told they are casual with site just pick another site, area that left was up against fence where a rental property was located which was not inviting to look at. Advised no thank you, we will find another place to stay. We would be requesting a refund.

Camping area is fully grassed. Chooks including Roosters free range around the area. Cattle in the next paddock. Reasonable drive to shops. Easy drive onto Bribie Island. We found our stay relaxing. Would recommend.

We had such an amazing stay at this farmstead! The location is absolutely beautiful – peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by nature. The owners were so friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Everything was very well maintained and spotlessly clean. Waking up to the cows and local wildlife was a highlight and made it feel really special. A perfect spot for anyone looking for a relaxing and unique getaway. Highly recommend!

Best Park by the Sea was a fantastic place to stay. We stayed to attend the Sandstone point 10th Birthday party.It was close enough to get an Uber to the Party and back , It rained overnight. But had no trouble getting out with the van. Thank you John for such a peaceful place to stay.

Total lack of privacy

Total lack of privacy. Clever photos because you are overlooked by a house. Rude owners lit a bonfire to burn debris at 8 in the morning then proceeded to work outside the tent on the gate. They should never have accepted our booking as they took the calves away from their mums that day so we didn’t get a wink of sleep due to the poor cows wailing constantly in the field adjacent. Great location for Brisbane or Bribie just don’t hang out at the camp.

Letterbox number should be facing the road to make it easy to find John needs to reply to his messages too just some advise for you guys to make life easy for everyone Driveway is a bit bumpy Close to everything Lovely stay

Ok place, thought it was a bit more remote than it is, a lot of road traffic as your close to the road. (The hosts can't do anything about that ) Great you can have a camp-fire, fire pits supplied at each site, wood there to split. plenty of space.

Great spot, friendly helpful people. Can't help the constant days of torrential rain which caused us to get bogged with our two wheel drive and caravan. But help was quickly on hand and we enjoyed ourselves.

The property was hard to find no clear property number or sign. The road is really busy and being able to turn into the property easily was difficult with a culvert either side of the narrow driveway. The property was boggy with a tight gate once you figured out that you were camping behind a house that looked over grown.

It was very peaceful and quiet. Luckily for us the paddock had recently been slashed so that made it much easier for us to camp there. Our only complaint was that someone else also parked on our site and took our fire pit so that was disappointing, if they had parked on their own allocated site it would have been a good place to stay.
