Nestled on 42 acres of untamed bushland in Agnes Water, 1770 Eco Camp and Grass Trees Campground offer two unique camping experiences designed to reconnect you with nature. Please note: The property is split into two distinct areas—1770 Eco Camp and Grass Trees Campground—each with its own facilities and rules. It is a 15-minute walk from one area to another, uphill from 1770 Eco Camp to Grass Trees. Take time to review both and choose the one that best suits your stay. Grass Trees Campground sits high on one of the region’s tallest mountain tops, offering sweeping views over Agnes Water, the 1770 Estuary and sandbar, Bustard Bay, and Eurimbula National Park. Sunrises and sunsets here are nothing short of spectacular. Choose from 20 unpowered sites or glamping tents—ideal for those who want the camping experience without the gear. On-site amenities include a new toilet and shower block, camp kitchen, communal firepit, wood-fired pizza oven, and a magnesium swimming pool. As a wildlife sanctuary, no pets are allowed. 1770 Eco Camp, located at the base of the mountain and just 2 minutes from town, offers a peaceful bushland escape. Camp under the stars or opt for a glamping tent surrounded by tropical gardens and freshwater dams. Facilities include a modern toilet and shower block, communal kitchen with BBQs and firepit, and a rustic chill-out zone with pool table and kids’ games. Enjoy added comforts like free WiFi, espresso machine, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, and more. Best of all—pets are welcome at 1770 Eco Camp! Access to Grass Trees is via Corfield Drive, the first right after the Eco Camp turnoff. Feeling adventurous? There’s also a rugged walking track from Eco Camp to the Grass Trees pool—perfect for a scenic hike. -sites small difficult if you have a van -the pool is only at the grass trees area which is unpowered and very steep if your in the other section you have to drive back to the main road and up. - we booked well in advance and were told they had a private function and we couldn’t use the pool. Ended up talking to staff and they let us up for a swim but parking was ridiculous. The function or festival they had one was supposed to finish at 10pm. Music was still going at 12:30 which could be heard from the other camp. - pizza oven at the bottom camp sites was wood fire no wood supplied or able to buy on site and the oven would have to be going all day to be hot enough to cook them - I had asked for a quiet area as we had a disability group and we were put in the busiest spot and extra cars coming in because of the function.

We had a premium site with power nestled in the trees. You do need to establish where your plot is before as tracks are uneven. Filtered water available in camp kitchen. Showers good but don’t spend too long as water is a premium. Very quiet site.

We loved staying here albeit just one night. The camp is a relaxed, beautifully organised, and neat space! We brought our motorhome here and were able to access a space that was quiet and private enough from others while being able to access amenities like showers and camp kitchen without too much trouble. Definitely recommend this place for its uniqueness and beauty!

Great tucked away campsite in the trees , maybe a 4-5 minute drive into Agnes water, showers and amenities were nice , we stayed in a glamping tent for once and found it awesome not having to setup, had a little 12v setup in there with chargers for phones etc and a fan and lights.

Beautiful bush sites with ample space. Basic facilities but well run. Great quiet spot to explore Agnes Waters area and enjoy nature. Fire pits, nice camp kitchen/games area/cubby for kids. Grass Tree pool was the best! Especially at sunset

The actual site does not represent the photos. Hard packed dirt and the section of beautiful lush grass is roped off. The pin drop shows the campground well away from the main road again misleading our site was close to the main road where vehicles were flying past. Calling it an eco camp probably means that they wash the amenities block with water. As for the pool wasn't within a walkable distance nor was it on a the site map. Not only was I disappointed with the campground I also felt unsafe. We have travelled and stayed in many remote camp site and never felt this way before. There is no reception at the office which by the way would look more in place at the local tip. We decided to leave this overpriced camp and headed further South to a beautiful campground by the beach

We had a lovely stay at 1770 Eco Camp. The only thing I would fault is that the spaces are very tight to get into. There was a tree directly in front of site 9 which made for a very stressful time trying to get our 21ft caravan in and out of the site. A lot of low trees as well. Site 9 is very close to site 8. Other then that it was a a great stay.

1770 Eco Camp, 6mins from the main town, a very wild caravan park. Very spacious camp site with power source for only $39/night. Clean toilet & showers, with washing sink for the dishes. Free picnic tables and chairs, fire pit (camp fires allowed) and dog friendly. Be careful to disturb wild neighbors at night (Koala, Possum, etc). Staffs are friendly and nice. If you want a quiet camping site, go here!!

It was good my first ever camping, first night went smooth we thought it was raining but its just the trees being blown by the wind. Had a lot of fun with the abundance of wildlife. We have seen our first ever bandicoot which is really fantastic.

I love this camp site we had the pleasure of staying in both of the sites, grass tress and the eco camp! The pool is one of the best swimming pools I’ve seen with stunning views! Site 57 was very small, just big enough for a vehicle, not enough room for our set-up. Management helped us swap to a larger site straight away and we loved the new site (site61). The views are incredible! Amenities are fantastic - although the water pressure in the showers is a trickle - men’s had no hot water. There is great camp kitchen space and an awesome magnesium pool.

The photos did not really give an accurate representation of the conditions which were overgrown in sections, and not that well maintained unfortunately, meaning we couldn't pitch our tent so easily. However, everything else re kitchen space, utilities and camp fire, pizza oven were super and we definitely recommend on this front.

Great location, close to Agnes Waters for supplies and plenty to do in the area. Some lots are better than others depending on your camping setup, there’s ample shade and quiet grounds for how busy they can be. Nice tidy amenities and friendly wildlife.

Beautiful spot amongst the bush. Friendly and helpful staff, clean amenities block and fully equipped camp kitchen. Highly recommend, but not there is a lot of wildlife, so bring ear plugs and ensure all your food is locked away.

What a great campsite! Apart from the smaller sites making it hard with the tree placement, To get our van in. Also very rocky, but not an issue for us with the van. The amenities were immaculate, the pool and view were amazing. And a great camp kitchen. We loved our stay.
