Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Set on 120 acres of land, with around 20 acres dedicated to camping areas, this property offers flat, easy-access terrain with picturesque park-like features. Long Creek runs through the property, and most vehicles can access the site with ease. Caravans and motorhomes are welcome. The sites are currently fully off-grid and include picnic tables and fireplaces near the water. (Camp kitchen, facilities, and cabins coming soon!) The location is just 10 minutes from the Rocky Timbarra River, with many Crown Reserve areas available for gold panning, swimming, and exploring. McLeod’s Creek also offers opportunities for outdoor activities. National Parks and state forest areas are located nearby. The historic gold mining village of Drake is just a 10-minute drive away, featuring the amazing Lunatic Hotel, which offers beverages, great meals, showers, and more. We are located 11 km along Long Gully Road on the right-hand side when coming from Drake. The road itself forms an 80 km circuit back to Tenterfield, or you can reach Tenterfield in under an hour via Drake. The Granite Belt vineyards are just over an hour away, making for an easy and enjoyable day trip.There are 8 sites 4 with tables, other large spaces without , all near the creek, and turning area for vans or motorhomes. Wide double gates that fold in at the entrance.
