Site 4 River bend
We took our 23 foot van down the dirt road to the site from Hanging Rock no problem, just take your time.

Such an awesome spot. Very well maintained and clean. Toilet and shower block is a real treat. Great views on the drive in. Even better views once at camp. Cool little river right next to camp. Will be back for sure.

What a great little spot, went for a reset and WOW. 3 nights wasn't long enough. The river has many special spots and there is peace and solitude or exploring galore. The amenities are a welcome relief and you leave feeling cleaner than a whistle. The drive home thru Glenrock and Ellerston was 5 star (4WD only easy in dry!!!!!!!careful). Meeting Darren and his dogs was a highlight and one of his dachshund 's treated me to a rabbit hunting display, very very impressive. I was the avante guarde and we plan a group visit in the near future. The proximity to Nundle and the word GOLD make the kids a pushover as does the crystal hunting. Look forward to seeing you soon Darren and family, thanks for sharing your secret spot.

We had the place to ourselves. Did not see another human for two days. Only two cars passed by the whole time. Water and air is incredibly clean and the lush green campsite was a pleasure to stay at. Clean flushing toilet and incredible water pressure at the tap.

We enjoyed a lovely weekend in sunshine, pouring rain, drizzle then sun again. Peaceful, flat and grassy spots alongside a lovely babbling brook. Darrin’s land is in a beautiful and hidden valley reached by a steep, narrow climb up and over Hanging Rock. We were a bit worried whether our car had enough oomph to get out, but it was absolutely fine. Good to have a flushing loo and hand basin.

Fabulous location. River was awesome and the campground was generous. Threw a line in the river for fun. Lizards, and various wildlife appeared. Great to see.
Didn’t get to meet the host but that was OK. The drive in was a bit much on the brakes with a trailer, should have used the gears more hey.
Fire pits awesome. On-site toilet was great with cold shower not tried.

It was a great campsite, but a bit of confusion. We booked Site 1 South Side Private, but it was so private we could not find it! We followed the directions and came to 4, then a nice level fenced off area with the amenities, and signs that said site 2 and site 3, no site 1, so we just camped near site 2 which was a great spot and it seemed no one else would arrive. It has a flushing toilet & shower in an enclosed shed, and a great fire pit.

Fantastic week staying at Barnard. Quiet, tranquil and nothing to distract you from a total reset from your busy life. Toilet and shower an absolute bonus. Planning our next stay before we left.

Well maintained area and everything was spot on, including hot showers with your own gas bottle . The walks along the river are a must so much wild life see . This place is a must if you need to sit back and unwind.

Facilities are a little crude but make camping at Barnard River Farm very comfortable and well worth the effort to get there and the stay. Scenery of the surrounding ranges is excellent and the the night sky is big. Great camp.

Barnard River Farm is an excellent camp. The 3 sites (2, 3 & 4) are located on the banks of the river with flat and well grassed areas for camp or caravans. The facilities available; toilet, shower, water and fire pits are great making the Barnard River Farm camp worth the effort of getting there. We enjoyed our 4 days of admiring the wonderful scenery, wild life, sunsets, and sitting around the fire pits under a big sky full of stars. We also enjoyed the grazing cattle on the other side of the river call their calves. Overall this a great place to camp, relax and enjoy nature, with some comfort. Enjoyed it so much we will return!

Barnard River Farm
The site is peaceful and tranquil, there's no mobile network which you plenty of time to ponder upon things, read a book, take in the nature. The site has a few amenities like a flush toilet, shower, potable water tap right on the site and plenty of wood to keep you there as long as you want.
The sites are maintained well with mowed grass. The creek near by is shallow in most parts and runs clean water which is perfect for for kids to wade in.
There's ample of wildlife encounters from wallabies, wombats and even a deer right on our site.
If you're into fishing then a trout farm 20 mins away will excite you. Make sure to carry worms and corn which the trout love.
Darrin is a good host who even offered to use his shower when the heater wasn't working on our site. I'd go again without a thought.

Great spot off the grid, really enjoyed our stay.
Flat area by a flowing creek, plenty of shade.
Open fire BBQ and an adequate toilet if you don’t want to use your own.
Dirt road access, great fun.

This is such a beautiful campsite with a flowing river and good shade. We stayed a bit away from the main campsite to ensure peace and quiet and had a fantastic time. Darrin is a very good host who is attentive to ensuring everyone has a good time.

The camp ground was well maintained and flushing toilet was a bonus! Close to the dams and Hanging Rock or just a good spot to relax. Would be busy if all 4 spots were booked, but Darrin has other areas that he can put people if they want a bit more privacy.
