Ken and Judi’s property was lovely. It was intimate and provided plenty of personal space. I thoroughly enjoyed the attention to detail with the outdoor lighting and ample prep space. They had excellent communication and even offered to let us come a little early.

Ken and Judi's property was beautiful and spacious. We enjoyed meeting our hosts and loved the location as well. The fire pit is awesome and we liked hanging out around the fire. We will definitely return if we get a chance.

Where do we begin? The amenities were amazing! Between the fire pit, lighting, outdoor shower and crazy enough.. porta potty experience, lol everything was just wonderful! We’ll definitely be staying here again when passing through SLO. Very close to a beautiful ‘Main Street’ with shops, and dining.

This campsite is adorable and even better than what the pictures show. Our hosts were very responsive via the app's messaging. This property also offers excellent bird-watching opportunities.

Site 2 - SLO Country Camp
This was our second visit and highly recommend staying here. The location is perfect for visiting the SLO downtown and many wine tasting locations are close by. The hosts were very accommodating on our arrival time and Ken was there to greet us and help get us settled in.

Charming rural property in SLO

Site 1 - SLO Country Camp
We had a great stay at Ken and Judi’s property. It isn’t in the wilderness, but nestled among fields of grapes. Not really vineyard vibe, but charmingly rural.
Our site comes with high top bar made of wine barrels and repurposed door, great for serving drinks and food. There is a picnic table but we mostly ate sitting on lawn chairs around the fire pit. Many other thoughtful touches, attributed to Judi, includes an antique chandelier wired from high tree branches, succulent plants in whimsical containers every where, etc. A bit of BoHo chic vibe.
Ken is a gracious host, checking in regularly but not intrusively.
The weather helped: hot during the day, but cooled down nicely at night, which made the lack of power hook-up not a problem.
This property has made it into my “repeat” list. We’ll be back.

Site 2 - SLO Country Camp
SLO Country Camp was just perfect. I stayed solo with my dog. Great horse ranch property on a street so quiet, it felt like a long driveway. I did not meet Judi, but Ken was attentive and available, yet I felt like I had the place to myself the whole time. Plenty of room to camp, burn a fire, move around and, lots of space to walk the dog. Loved the outdoor shower, and - between that and the sink - I was able to stay four days without loading up my Airstream's smallish tanks or using up my water supply. Location is extremely convenient, and the airport was not a bother. Sounded more like rolling thunder than anything else. 10 minutes from Avila and five from downtown SLO. Stay here, you can't go wrong!

Site 2 - SLO Country Camp
The site is very cute, quiet (the nearby airport didn’t bother us at all, even though we’re light sleepers), with good amenities, such as a shower, a sink, a table and a few chairs. The view is really nice and the property is surrounded by cute farms. SLO is 10 mins away and - if you have a dog - you’ll find a wonderful dog park 5 mins away from the property. The hosts are very friendly, helpful, and communicative. We’ll definitely try to book again in the future!

Stayed overnight at Ken and Judy's place, and it was amazing! Ken was gracious enough to welcome us even when we arrived paste 8pn at night
The place is amazing, super well setup, nicely decorated and all the amenities you need for camping

This was our first time hipcamping and it was so nice compared to campgrounds with a ton of people! One other site next to us only. Super cute place with chairs, tables, solar lights.. amazing views and so quiet except for the airport.

Cute sight. Easy to find, not far at all from downtown. Hosts very communicative, even helped when I left something behind. My favorite part was the outdoor shower!

This place was great. We showed up late afternoon and easily found the spot with the instructions given. The area is well equipped with some tables, chairs, and shade. The outdoor shower was very nice and the sink and cooking area was very clean. We will definitely come back next time we need to camp in the area.

We loved our camping adventure on Ken and Judy’s land. Easy to navigate to the site, very clear directions. So many wonderful details in the layout of the site. The shower was cool water only but very refreshing. Very close to both Pismo beach and downtown San Luis Obispo. It is close to the airport so if you’re bothered by air plane noise maybe ear plugs for early morning plane traffic.
Definitely one of the best hip camps we have stayed at, if not the best.

We loved this campsite, it's close to Pismo beach and the hosts were friendly and accommodating. The space is excellent, lots of seating, a shower, space for a fire and cooking. I would advise folks who are light sleepers to bring ear plugs as the airport is noisy early in the morning.

Beautiful space, they provide everything you could need. Super central to the wineries in SLO and very pretty sunsets! Only thing I will say is it is not very private if that’s what you’re looking for, but overall beautiful!

This place is a total gem! The campsite was spacious and had views of the beautiful hills and a great sunset. There are little extra touches everywhere that really put the place over the top. Great decorations, considerate amenities like a corkscrew and lighter fluid, and great seating for games at night. Our family, especially like watching the birds in Prairie dogs run around while we enjoyed the fire pit. We would absolutely recommend.

A really wonderful place and such a welcoming hosts! We enjoyed a peaceful evening in beautiful surroundings and had a nice walk up to the hill.
Ken and Judi’s place had everything we needed and I would really recommend it to anybody who enjoys nature and visits SLO.

Ken and Judi’s place had a breathtaking view that they were so gracious to share with my friends and I. We had quite a few people in our group, and would probably book both campsites one and two next time for more space to roam around. I love that there was a communal outdoor shower, space to wash dishes, and place to use restroom. The porta potty was very clean and had an air freshener/night light inside. The outdoor shower gave us a laugh because the wind would blow the curtain open when we were using it. What a fun set up!! Also loved that it was only 10 minutes from downtown SLO. Everyone had a great time and I would definitely book with them again.
