We used the RV site for our rooftop camper and it was a fantastic stay with level ground. The host was incredibly welcoming and provided clear directions before/at arrival. The site had great rustic charm with plenty of space and was peaceful and quiet during our stay. Highly recommended!

Glamping on the farm!

This place was a true gem! Great for a local staycation. It was hot, but Malibu was the perfect spot for daily escapes to beat the heat and jump in the ocean. Meagan and her team were amazing. One night in The Fearless Mary and one night in the Wagon! Loved it and would definitely go back.

Glamping Gem

What an amazing experience we had. My son who is 7 asked me to take him camping but I wanted to do more of glamping and close to our home so Prospect Ranch ended up being a wonderful place that made us all happy. Very easy to get to, close parking, private, beautiful scenery. Love the saloon and play area around it. Did not remember electronics. Incredible host who is so response.

We loved our stay in the wagon!! It was so much fun for the kids and adults. The perfect stop on our road trip down the coast. The natural lighting inside the wagon was an unexpected touch. It was magical!! And the king bed was super comfy.

We had an amazing stay at Prospector Ranch! The property was beautiful, peaceful, and the perfect place for a family getaway. The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained, making it easy to relax and enjoy the surroundings. A special thank you to Sarah, who was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. One of the highlights of our stay was that she allowed us to feed the horses, which was such a memorable experience. If you're looking for a unique glamping experience with beautiful scenery, friendly hosts, and opportunities to connect with nature, I highly recommend Prospector Ranch. We would absolutely love to come back!

Perfect for the kids

It was a really nice place to bring my family together and I would certainly go again. We were lucky to have the run of the whole place, although we actually slept in the wagon, which was warm and cozy. The bathroom was a ridiculously wonderful and unexpected bonus as it was far from what you'd expect from the campaign trip. Outdoor bath, outdoor shower heater, hairdryer shampoo, and conditioner. Everything you want. We had a really great time. Thank you.

Miner’s Camp

Wonderful experience. Meggan was the perfect host, the camp site was clean, organized and very unique. Lots of options on where to sleep, refreshments, bedding, air con... Lots of games for kids to play too, places to sit and catch up with friends and loved ones. A large lot. Very luxurious and picturesque. Location is great with easy access too.

It's a beautiful spot. I loved all the old west decor. Close to the beach and Westlake Village. We ate in town one night and bbq'ed and ate under the oak tree another. We rented airstream and loved the view. Hope moo come back!

It’s a very nice spot. We loved all the old west decorative touches. We brought an RV and also rented the “Fearless Mary” airstream. Enjoyed the sunset and early morning views up there. Also dined below by the saloon under the big oak. It’s 25 minutes to the beach, 10 minutes to shops and restaurants. The hosts were great. Emphatic thumbs up

We stayed on the property in Our 22 foot camper van. The site we picked was under the large oak tree next to the communal gathering area. A special treat was staying next to the Pony pasture The Saloon was so authentic. We plan to visit again

We absolutely loved our stay at Prospector’s Ranch in our RV!! Meggan is a very attentive host and has curated a beautiful western themed camp. We absolutely loved the design details and lighting throughout the site. We hiked during the day and then sat by the saloon in the sun and soaked in the nature and peacefulness. We highly recommend this inspiring Hipcamp! We’ll be back for sure.

Wonderful gem!

Am so glad I found this! What a really cool place and hosts. Couldn’t believe how easy it was to get to yet felt far away from it all. Fearless Mary is showing her age but she still was comfy and had what we needed. Patio area was nice to relax at. Meggan was quick to respond to any messages and was nice to meet Chris at the Saloon upon arrival. We got a drink and tour then shown to our accommodation. Meggan had great suggestions for lunch and dinner which we took her up on. (Definitely call for a car to go to The Old Place! Worth not having to drive late at night). Make sure to stay covered in the evening, lil biting flies came out. Even tho staying in the Airstream, you’re still ‘roughing’ it a bit (10 gallon tank so short showers, etc). Coffee/tea, filtered water and a few snacks were available so stop on way at store if you need to. Nice size fridge and freezer. Thanks again Meggan & Chris, hope to visit again!

We stayed here for one night at the start of our tour of the pacific coast and absolutely loved it! Meghan was out of town but responded promptly to our messages and ensured we had checked in ok. The ranch is beautifully designed with loads of authentic touches and the kids enjoyed saying hello to the horses. Thoroughly recommended!

Great for echo cliff climbers!!

Prospector Ranch was a little slice of heaven for us after a long afternoon of climbing at echo cliffs! This is a great option for those who need a spot to camp out if all the campgrounds are booked. Only 20 minutes from the Mishe Mokwa Trailhead. Meggan was so sweet and hospitable. Our experience honestly couldn’t have been better. Highly recommend!!
