This is a place for people that want to enjoy nature and not have several people camping next to them. Experience "The Land" - Private Wilderness Camping in Ohio Welcome to our 40-acre slice of heaven, where hand-painted trail signs made by kids mark paths like "Coyote Howl Overlook" and "Firefly Lane." This is "The Land" - our family's private retreat that we're excited to share with you for the first time. You'll choose your campsite from spots throughout the woods with great star views - you'll often catch shooting stars on clear nights. Until now, only our friends and family have camped here, so you're among the first to experience this special place. Three miles of well-maintained trails are the real star here, winding up and down hills all over the property. The trails take you through woods, valleys, and fields with plenty of wildlife like deer and turkey. There's a shallow creek where you can bring your boots for creek walking and lift up rocks to find crawfish, plus a natural spring to discover. For the adventurous, there's even a steep "mud chute" that requires a rope to navigate down - it's a blast! Don't miss the homemade tree swing for old-fashioned fun. Beyond exploring, you can tour our orchard and meet our chickens who lay beautiful rainbow eggs - help collect them if you're up for it. We can serve you a farm-to-table breakfast with those fresh rainbow eggs and vegetables from our garden, or set up something really special with an outdoor dinner under string lights. As a retired hotel operator who traded the hotel business for farming, I love making sure guests feel welcome and taken care of. The Land is fantastic for little kids who love adventure, dogs who need room to run, and groups looking for privacy. The combination of safe exploration and hands-on farm experiences makes for memories that stick. You'll have a fire ring and level spot for your tent. Firewood is available. Check in at the cabin to charge devices and use WiFi if needed - cell service is good too. There's also a large fire pit on a hilltop overlooking the orchard with incredible star viewing. We build a fire there each night and can offer s'mores if you're not up for making your own fire. Your campsite requires a hike from parking, but our ATV and trailer can haul heavy gear. We are 15 minutes from town and 10 minutes from Senecaville Lake for swimming or boating.

BEAUTIFUl property. perfect for a hot summer night. The lake was warm from the sun but there was enough flow for it to be cool enough to be pleasant in the blistering heatwave. There was another campsite with probably a dozen people who I barely noticed and couldn't really see through the tall grass and trees. Incredible experience. Would've stayed longer if I wasn't just passing through.

This was our second stay at Fish Camp. The weather was unbearably hot but that is out of everyone's control. The quarry lake was very refreshing and the boys' loved days of fishing and puttering around the lake. Very quiet this trip as we were the only ones dumb enough to brave the extreme heat. Drew is a good host and left us alone after check-in.

It was a home away from home ❤️ Loved every second of it from the critters, to the frog pond to the amazing little place to lay our heads. I couldn't have asked for better hosts. Be prepared to become best friends with the turkey Fred though...what a stud of a bird. Lol

One of our favorite hipcamp spots! We loved being able to swim and the views were very nice. Drew was a great host and offered ice and eggs at a good price. It didn’t feel too crowded and we still felt like we had privacy even though it was fully booked. We will definitely be coming back!

The farm that this campsite is located on sure lives up to its name. We enjoyed many other animals on top of the beautiful equine that surrounded us. The willingness of the owner to help us out in any way possible was pleasantly surprising. They also carry out an awesome mission there that you would have to check out for yourself. Me and my wife have camped at many Ohio Hip camps and this is our favorite one so far! We have a rooftop tent and had a nice flat area to set up. Beautiful view all around and very peaceful. There's a nice mowed area all around the lake. The host Drew is very friendly and we will definitely be back!

This was our 3rd year staying with Drew and I still can't get over just how beautiful it is out there. The sunsets are some of the most gorgeous I've seen it almost doesn't feel real some of the time. Its so peaceful and the fishing is good its the perfect place for same mental detox and on top of all that the lake is clear and cleaner than you'd belive. On top of all of the beauty drew is an awesome host and a really good dude he makes sure you've got everything you need. I highly recommend you book with him i promise you won't regret it.q

We have a beautiful 20 acre lake. It's 60 ft deep with crystal clear water and is great for swimming and fishing. Kayaking welcome too. We also have a couple other ponds available for fishing as well. We raise fresh water prawn and bluegill in the summertime, so late september we have fresh shrimp available. Lots of waterfowl and deer here to see.

Located roughly 20 miles from Beaver Creek State Park, DLR Mustang Ranch is a 17-acre peaceful sanctuary for many wild and previously wild mustangs. The Ranch offers veteran and first responder mustang programs year-round. Please let us know if you are a veteran or first responder for a special rate. Accommodations include a small one-room cabin nestled on a little pond. The cabin has electricity, a microwave, small refrigerator, tv, futon, heating and cooling; however, it does not have plumbing. Nearby is an outhouse with electricity and a water pump fed from well water. There is a firepit for cooking and picnic tables available. There is also flat space for tent camping beside the cabin area. If a more secluded area is preferred, there is a 4-acre field in the back of the property surrounded by woods; however, it should be noted the only outhouse is located by the cabin. Splitting the property in half at the bottom of a wooded hill is a quiet stream full of small wildlife. Coyotes often cut through the woods and the 4-acre pasture. There is space for an RV in the driveway next to the woods with electric hookup and access to the outhouse, water pump, and firepit. While this is a working ranch with farm animals, our aim is to create a peaceful relaxing environment in order to unwind and enjoy the creation around us. Going in the pastures with horses while unaccompanied by the owners is prohibited; however, it can be arranged for you to meet and interact with the mustangs if interested. There are other farm animals including sheep, a goat, pigs, donkeys, peacocks, turkeys, chickens and ducks on the premises. If you want a quaint country escape complete with farm sounds, this is the spot for you!

First developed in 1968, Memory Park offers peace, quiet, and tranquility for you and your family for that perfect weekday or weekend getaway . There are plenty of primitive sites to choose from, including Murphy Meadow, Outback Bend, Honeymoon Point, and Shady Rest, just to name a few. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire pit. Firewood is available ($10 through hipcamp or cash on-site per full wheelbarrow load). Memory Park is the ideal rustic environment to restore the soul, including simple activities like sitting around a fire, reading or taking a nap, hiking, cooking over the fire, observing nature, and enjoying fellowship with friends. Memory Park can be your 'go to' camp spot, especially for Buckeye Trail hikers! Water is available from two hand pumps on the property. Electricity is not available. Quiet generators are welcome.
