Weekend Trip to Sandy Bottoms River Company

The SBRC crew were very generous to upgrade our stay to the RV so that we could sit right by the river, since the water conditions were too risky for tubing. They were there to greet us and get us situated and settled in when we arrived and went above and beyond accommodating my late booking. Cell reception is weak (its in the country) so messages sometimes take a few minutes to go thru. Everything was very well kept with all amenities provided for, and SBRC even went out of their way to set us up with a fishing pole and some firewood. The small local grocery up the road had everything that we needed saving us the trip into town. Sitting by the river enjoying the sunshine was paradise for us, and I really look forward to going back again soon.

Convenient location with farm animals and horses, the host is flexible and friendly, she walked with us and showed the property. It was freezing and raining during our booking period and it’s hard to stay indoors in the small space, we wish climate was better

Address will be given prior to check in. $28 Primitive remote tent camp is a short walk across the street to a 3 level dock for access to the sandy Brazos River. River tent sites give you the option to upgrade and camp on the river with a 300' of sandy beach to play on. $50.00 for direct primitive river front tent camping. All of our spots are heavily shaded! Porta Potties, fire rings, picnic tables and water available at all campgrounds. If you are looking for an RV, cabins or vaca home to rent for your stay, message us for more details. Enjoy 123 miles of river connecting Possum Kingdom to Lake Granbury for tubing, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, wildlife watching, and the great outdoors. Dove Ridge Vineyard is around the corner. Lake Weatherford and the new floating walking bridge is about 2 miles. Creekside Grill has excellent lunch and dinner if you don’t feel like cooking and Door Dash is also delivering to the area! Come and visit or stay a while!
