Once logged for its timber in the 1960's by Wundowie Steel Foundry for it's steel mills and furnaces, there are still many tall/older trees as well as regrowth. We often have Kangaroos, Wallabies, occasional Echidnas, Goannas, Lizards and many species of Birds. All live in the wild and there is no guarantee that we will see them
We grow wildflowers such as Proteas, Leucadendron , Leucospermum (pincushions),Banksias , Eucalypt - Silver Dollar, and Cut Flowers - Osteospermum, Zinnia and Gladioli, Kangaroo Paw and Bromeliads. We also have our native species - Grass Trees, Zamia Palm and Golden Wattle .
We also have fruit trees, chooks and a vegetable garden.
BUSH STAY ACCOMMODATION is available.The Olivia Cabin which will accommodate up to four people.TV,DVD, aircon, fridge, toaster, kettle and cutlery, plates etc.
We also have a large comfortable Tent to accommodate up to four people. Set up for the real bush experience. TV, DVD ,table and chairs .Beds and mattresses,sheets ,blankets, pillows, and doonas can be provided. You may bring your own tent,but only up to a mid sized four man tent.This is not an RV site.
Hear all the sounds of the bush at night! Check out the stars planets and the moon. The sky is so clear out here.

As mature travellers, we appreciated this peaceful sanctuary amongst the trees and birds. We were in the area for the Perth Trail Series Chitty Chitty Run Run if anyone is looking for accommodation, we highly recommend. The site is peaceful, well equipped, and suited our needs perfectly. Mark is a wonderful host, very accommodating and kind. He has done wonderful job of cultivating this site which was recently opened prior to our arrival. Thank you for our long weekend stay and good luck with your endeavours Mark. Check this place out guys!

We stayed in the powered site 1. We were very happy with the clean and tidy grounds and beautiful backdrop of trees, red dirt and wildflowers. The track behind our site was a beautiful walk with lots of kangaroos and birds to be seen. Camp host very friendly and welcoming. We will definately back, already recommended to our parents who have already booked :!

Lovely, clean and happy camp. Great staff helping a wonk like me without too much laughter. Showers, kitchens and BBQs all clean and tidy with no need to remember a code or take a key. Spacious plot, easy hookup. Nothing to say against the site or local amenities. Amaze was fun for a morning,

Ed is a very welcoming host. His home is your home during your stay. Location is great for a peaceful getaway.
You have the option of power or no power. There is also the option of using a shared bathroom if not self sufficient.
The fire pit was available and Ed kept it well stocked with wood.
Altogether a very pleasant stay.

I loved the location of Whitty's Retreat.
It has the added benefit of being 'Adult's only' for those who prefer no kids and while the sites are snug (we have the Ezytrail Parkes 15 and couldn't extend our awning on Site 1) both site 2 and 3 have more room for this if needed.
The camp hosts provide a well equipped communal undercover area with camp kitchen, comfy seating and TV.
Plus a little touch of luxury with the jacuzzi heated and ready to go on arrival :)

Great little getaway not far from Perth. The hosts Linda and sel went out of there way to make us feel welcome. Nice site with great views and sunsets, the camp lounge/ kitchen is a great setup with fridge, microwave and lounge and has a spa to sit in and watch the sunset.

Great place for an intimate getaway with friends. Whilst you have to be self sufficient with power, water and toilet, the Campers kitchen is unbelievable. A comfy outdoor setting, TV, microwave, BBQ, fridge. As well as pot belly for winterr and a designated firepit area. Many condiments and accessories are provided. And there is a massive deck with heated spa and large outdoor umbrella. We will be back Linda

Whittys place is a really gorgeous hidden gem. The camp kitchen/lounge/deck/spa area is lovely. We went as a group of 3 couples so it was perfect. Linda is a fantastic host. Looking forward to returning in the winter to enjoy the wood burning stove and camp fire.

If you want quiet then this is the place to go. We had two fantastic days at ED’s place. Great night for star gazing and you could of heard a pin drop only 1 hour away from Perth
