Host supplied sticks to get fire started and a nights worth of wood to burn Massive paddock to choose where to camp in means that other guests were far enough away to ensure privacy within your own camp. Camp under the trees for shade or middle of paddock for maximum Grampians view

Steven’s property was really beautiful and just the right amount of size so we didn’t feel overwhelmed. There was a flushable toilet, a little shower available 1 night and really nice to light a fire. Steven came and said hi and checked in - it was a really peaceful spot.

If you want to be a short drive from the Grampians but want more quiet and space then camping in Halls gap, this place is great. We are completely self sufficient so we were able to park a long way from any other campers. Kids were able to explore the land, throw some yabbie nets in the damn with success and ride their bikes. Ample free fire wood. Basic flushable toilet and hot shower available. Steven was a very friendly host and quick to respond to messages.

We really enjoyed our recent camping trip at Steven's property - he showed us a beautiful spot overloading a creek and went out of his away to accomodate us with firewood etc. There were lots of animals to see - llamas, sheep, horses, rabbits, which the kids loved. It was great to be able to get to Halls Gap so easily and then have a nice quiet place to retreat to. Highly recommend!

We had a very brief overnight stay here. Directions were easy to follow, even at night with some light rain. The facilities were easy to find and clean. Our host was lovely, with Rob coming out to say hello and share a couple of stories about their time in the region. I would definitely stay here again, it is a great halfway point between Adelaide and Melbourne with some great scenery around the region

What a beautiful site to camp on. Quiet and peaceful with a bush land setting. Firewood provided for our camp which was greatly appreciated. Perfect base for exploring Halls Gap and the Grampians, especially away from the crowds. Great communication and directions, helped us find the property even on a dark and rainy winters evening. Delighted to be greeted by our choice of any site, and a welcome sandstone fire pit that was well-stocked with a wood supply to get us started for our stay. Very wet and windy during our June long-weekend visit, but to be expected in Winter. Made for a slightly slippery entrance over the main tracks for our 2WD, but sandy soils quicky dried after each shower passed. Overall, views were divine (when the clouds parted), site was quiet and serene (barely a car passed by after dark), and surprised by the handy access to nearby Pomonal - with local general store and free hot showers, that were a real bonus. We'll definitely be back!

We loved this place , we had a little jayco and there were so many places to chose to stay. We picked a spot by the creek that was perfect and was visited daily by sheep birds and our favourite Steve dog who became our dogs bestie . Would recommend and we will visit again .

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Happy Wanderers Resort! Phill was incredible host — warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about sharing their beautiful piece of land with visitors. What stood out the most about their property was the peaceful, spacious setup nestled right at the base of the stunning Grampians. The campgrounds were thoughtfully maintained, with plenty of flat, grassy areas to pitch a tent or park a camper. Each site felt private and well-spread out, surrounded by nature and offering breathtaking views of the mountains at sunrise and sunset. We loved how close it was to hiking trails, waterfalls, and local attractions, yet it still felt like a hidden retreat away from the crowds. Waking up to birdsong and ending the night under a spectacular starry sky made it truly magical. The facilities were clean and convenient, with good access to water and basic amenities. If you’re looking for a peaceful, authentic camping experience in the Grampians with genuinely lovely hosts, Happy Wanderers Resort is a perfect choice. We’ll definitely be back!

The Farmland Camp was amazing! Lots of spots along the creek, amazing views of the mountains and perfect distance from Horsham and Halls Gap for hikes or anything else. Steven was super helpful and quick with his replies when needed. His dog, sheep and horses are all super friendly and the sheep come past each morning to say hi. Would definitely recommend this for anyone and will definitely come back for our next trip to the Grampians!
