'Murray View' is a 5000 acre livestock and cropping property located on the banks of the mighty Murray River. It has been in our family since 1924 and supported five generations. We enjoy the lifestyle and natural environment it provides and would love to share it with others.
We have two separate sites available both with access to the river. They are both for self contained campers only. Please ensure you book the right site for your needs.
Enjoy one of the best sandbars on the Murray in the area. A great spot for all water activities. including swimming, boating and fishing. Ideal gentle swimming beach for kids. This is a very serene and quiet part of the Murray River.
Guests can go bushwalking through the towering River Redgums and enjoy the natural environment.
Campfires are permitted outside of any restrictions, there is plenty of fallen timber around that guests can use.
Campers must take all waste with them. Pets are welcome.

We had the most beautiful stay at Simon’s Hipcamp, Pig’s Bend. The site is peaceful, private and surrounded by stunning river gums, with direct access to the river. Waking up to birds, filtered sunlight through the trees and the calm water was honestly magic.
The space feels really natural and untouched – plenty of room to spread out, relax, explore and just switch off. The river bend is perfect for swimming, sitting by the water or just taking it all in. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel grounded.
Simon was great to deal with and the site was exactly as described (if not better). If you’re after a quiet, scenic bush escape with river frontage, this place is a must. We’ll definitely be back.

I loved staying River front powered site just in front of river and birds. I also enjoyed new pool which had pool side seating area.
Only a short distance to nearby park and I saw many wetland birds.

On a very hot day the hosts managed to find me a shaded location. Overall camp is well maintained and was lovely and peaceful overnight. Quirky tree decor, mosaics and outdoor furniture definitely added some interest.

Stunning location, only noise from the wildlife, so many birds.
Be prepared for some winding dirt tracks and a few gates to open and close. Signage kept me right though. Bring some sand pegs if in little tent.

We stayed at site 7 over the Christmas break and had a very relaxing time. I love the fact that we were the only people for miles and found plenty of trees for shade. Water was awesome and nice and sandy couldn’t fault it. We took our caravan and had no problem getting to the site. Thank you we will definitely be back soon

Such a picturesque camp site! We absolutely loved our stay.
Marg had great communication, and the journey to our campsite was signposted perfectly.
There were other campers, but we had complete privacy. There was a boat that came past us down the river, so just be aware that might happen.
For anyone staying at site 1B in summer, I recommend sticking to the sand, as the prickles in the grass areas were no joke! Once we relocated to the sandy clearing we were set, and had such a lovely evening stargazing and listening to the wildlife around us.

This was our second trip to Simon’s Hipcamp. We stayed at the Pigs Bend this time and it was just as great if not better than Sand Bar. Just such a beautiful part of the river. Can’t wait to get back there again. Thanks for another awesome stay
