I was blown away by the adventure, and the delicious food left me thinking about it long after the weekend was over. The philosophy of Alpine Nature Experiences is to strip back everything you think you need, and focus on what’s truly luxurious - beautiful sunrises and sunsets, a warm fire, incredible wholesome food. This stay delivered all that and more. Highly recommend joining the Hike & Feast experience too, the hike through Mount Hotham was stunning and just the right amount of challenge.

It’s in a beautiful spot with plenty of bird life, a small stream only 200 meters away and a well presented log cabin with an open fire pit out the front. Minimal phone coverage but that suited us getting away for some chill time.

Lothlorien is a family owned and operated bespoke romantic luxury retreat in the heart of the Victorian High Country in Tawonga South. The fully renovated three level barn maintains the beautiful rustic exterior and a comfortable modern interior. A full size loft bedroom with queen size bed and work space. A fully equipped kitchen with oven, stovetop, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. A cosy lounge area with two and three seat sofas. There is also a sleeping area in the lounge with a Murphy Bed, hidden by day and turns into a comfy queen size bed at night. The third bedroom with a king single and a single bed, TV, hanging space and shoe storage.
