Groups of Hog Deer are seen occasionally as they are fairly timid.
We are located between Bairnsdale and Sale. The Park is set on 174 acres of peaceful bushland, including Banksia, Red Gum, White Gum, and ancient River Gum forest. The Park offers both powered and unpowered sites, a communal lounge, separate accommodation, modern toilet facilities, sheltered BBQs as well as a camp kitchen. The park also offers a swimming pool and tennis court.

This lovely retreat centre exceeded all of our expectations. We really loved this beautiful small campsite. It's a real gem right next to the Nowa Nowa Wetlands Walk (which is beautiful). The owners are very friendly and so ist their dog who loved playing with our son. The common room and outside common areas are lovely. They put a lot of love into many details. The kitchen, too, was well equipped. Can't say much about the bathrooms, as we treated ourselves to an ensuite. The ensuite was equipped with really good towels and there were even shampoo, shower gel etc. provided.
Lovely place, cool vibe, beautiful surroundings. Would very much love to stay here again!

Pleasingly well-equipped campsite - ample clean toilets and showers, decked out clean kitchen and well-maintained swimming pool, fire pit, TV, ping pong table etc. Please note that as international tourists, we had trouble receiving the booking number from the camp (which is different from the HipCamp one and is needed for check-in and check-out), so maybe use a local number if you can. If not you can find a member of staff to help you at the site.

We really enjoyed our stay at this campground by the Nowa Nowa River. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, with lovely river views and plenty of space to relax. The grounds were well maintained, the sites were generous, and it had a calm, friendly atmosphere. It was quiet at night and a great spot to unwind or explore the local area. Overall, a very pleasant place to camp and one we’d happily return to.
