Our site is positioned on a section of our 3 acre block that is totally private from our residence. We are located just an easy 20 minutes from Hobart airport. The site is not just in a paddock but is surrounded by beautiful native trees and garden - there is a small camp shelter with power, bench, sink, hot water and a bar fridge. There is also an outdoor shower to rinse off after a swim. The beach is a 5 minute walk away. We have a deck positioned to pull up to next to the shed. Clifton Beach is a beachside community located on the south arm peninsula 25 minutes from Hobart city and is the closest surf beach to Hobart. The south arm peninsula itself has many great walks and beautiful beaches. It is a great spot to base yourself to explore Hobart and local attractions. e.g Port Arthur 90 minutes. Our Hipcamp site has full council approval.

Toilet and power is available upon request. Campers are asked to take all their waste and rubbish with them on departure.

Our trio of Suri Alpacas are a wonderful blend of goofy and graceful. They will come and say hello and Thunder gives cute 'eskimo kisses' Penelope Jane (PJ) and Duncan are our gorgeous mini donkeys, they are endless fun watching them play and wrestle. They both love a good scratch and cuddles and plenty of human company. Our 3 mini goats Huckleberry, Dudley and Elfie are cheeky little chappies and what they lack in size, they make up for in character. They all like a good head scratch and pat Wildlife Encounters: We also share our 100 acre hobby farm with an array of Tasmanian native wildlife including wallabies, pademelons, possums, echidnas, bandicoots, wombats, quolls and even Tassie Devils. Wedge tail eagles and hawks soar the dams, native hens (turbo chooks!) rush around the paddocks and if you are lucky you may spot a tawny frogmouth sitting on the fence watching for his prey at night. Nature enthusiasts and photographers will find plenty of opportunities to observe and capture the unique flora and fauna of Tasmania.

Very private valley nestled between two mountainous sandstone ranges. 3.5 kilometers from Colebrook, via Yarlington road. The property in total size is 37 hectares half of which is gently undulating grassland slopes. These slopes lead to the banks of the beautiful Iles Creek which runs nearly all year round. The western range across the creek includes numerous caves within comfortable walking distance. The highest caves provide magnificent views to the East coast. Camping options include non-designated sites either side of the creek under the huge black-wood trees, restricted to 4-wheel drive vehicles during winter and spring months, with 3 additional designated sites with year-round access for all vehicles. Two of these sites have access to domestic power supply and town water. At the entrance sits the first of the designated sites, the rest are accessed via the meandering road down 300 or so meters to the camping ground entrance as well as the schoolhouse site.

The property is within walking distance to local Bistro, 1km from Okines Beach, 3km from the surf beach and 3km from the shops with a local bakery, butcher and Hills Supermarket. There are no facilities here, so you must be fully self contained, and take all waste with you. I can however provide water or power for a small fee. Campfires are welcome wood can be supplied at a fee. Dogs are welcome however be respectful of wildlife and pick up dog waste.

We are located within walking distance to the beach (250m), and the wharf (500m, and a great spot for fishing), and a short drive to Southport Tavern with take away shop 1.3kms (great meals). There are also plenty of good bush walks in the area - Adamsons Falls, South Cape Track, Duckhole Lake and Hastings Caves. The thermal pools are also close by! Camping here is for self-contained campers only, for those that have their own toilet. All waste is to be taken when you leave. We offer five-level grass sites with easy access. Four have power and water hook-ups and one site with it close by. There is an enclosed campers kitchen, with hot water, gas BBQ, and a wood heater. Contact the Host should you require further details.
