At Hill Top Farm Meander we run beef cattle and five working draught horses. Our property boasts commanding views of Huntsman lake , the Great Western Tiers and Meander Valley. The surrounding mountains create a dramatic backdrop for Hill Top Farm. Our farm displays an abundance of natural beauty, with crystal clear springs and a diversity of mature and rare forest timbers. There are numerous well known walks to do nearby, Meander Falls, Mother Cummings Peak and Smoko Falls to name a few. Huntsman Lake is a great favourite of fly fishermen and kayakers alike, there is also a very pleasant picnic grounds there, swimming hole and boat ramp.
The village of Meander is 4 kms away offering a wonderful cafe , where the staff are friendly and the hamburgers , coffee and cakes are fantastic.
As we have no facilities on our farm yet, so we ask that all campers must be fully self contained, with their own toilet , water and power.

The main campground has level grassed campsites measuring 6m in width and 19m in length (Sites 2 - 10) Campsite 1 is the larger site and measures 10m in width and 19m in length and sits seperate to the other sites a little closer to the road.
Price advertised is per site, per night for 2 people. Campfires permitted in designated area within the main campground only and when restrictions aren't in place. Firewood is provided. This spot has it all - location, solitude, views and sunsets. An easy drive from Devonport, with Sheffield nearby for food, coffee and water, the 3 days we spent at the Farm were the perfect beginning to our Tasmanian holiday. So much to see in the area, with Cradle mountain the highlight. A pre-dinner walk through Shae and Steve’s block was also beautiful. Thankyou!

We had a lovely night at Tiana's shared with the cows and Alpacas. The sunset was spectacular. Sites 1-6 are gravelled and it was easy to back our 7.7m motorhome in and get a level spot. Site 6 has a little fire area with a wind break. Nice! The other sites are larger and on the other side of the hill, so I guess it deoends which way the wind is blowing which is the more sheltered side. Definately recommend this place.

A great experience - booked late on Friday night and host accepted the booking within the hour with no fuss, site is in an amazing location on the doorstep of the National Park and we were fortunate to have it to ourselves (plus a few curious wallabies for company).

Pleasant and quiet spot near the beautiful bushland above Penguin. We hiked and rode our bikes and generally relaxed. Great views (when the weather is clear) and lots of power and water. Toilets but no showers. Big shout out to Remy the dog, who is very cheeky and loved to snooze outside our awning (and inside when she could sneak in).

We loved our stay at Cherrytop farm stay. The campground is quiet, has a fire pit and access to a flushing toilet. Plenty of bird life to watch.The hazelnuts are delicious. Toured the nuttery, learnt a lot. We highly recommend staying here.

Wonderful spot super close to cradle mountain. Views over the lake were amazing, especially at sunrise and sunset. Portaloos were the best kept I've ever seen! Smelled fresh, were super clean, and well stocked. Things like the outdoor sink, WiFi, and gas BBQs were a huge bonus and made staying the night v convenient for us. A lot of thought + effort has gone into making this simple site great!
