We'd love people to come an enjoy our little farm 6km out the back of Middleton, SA. There are no facilities, power or access to water available but for anyone self contained you'll love it. We can offer you farm fresh EGGS pretty cheap though for breakfast. Check in from time from 1.00pm, but touch base if your'e early, we'll stretch for for you. Super close to some of the best beaches in the state. Middleton for surfing 🏄 Goolwa for fishing 🎣 Port Elliot for swimming 🏊‍♀️ Rates include you getting to hang out with the horse (Nick) who love a stray carrot or 10 and our beautiful sheep including Kevin (the white sheep of the family, you'll get the joke when you meet him) We do allow dogs on leads as long as they are ok with animals. A small family run certified organic farm with a Pinot vineyard, views over piccadilly valley, and fruit orchard. Set behind the beautiful Mt Lofty Ranges in the Adelaide Hills and only 20 minutes from the city. Our farm has a Bernese Mountain Dog named Lotti, 6 ducks, 4 chooks, and a cat named Alfie. Surrounded on one side by National Park and the other by vineyards and plenty of wineries. The next township is just a few minutes away and has all the necessary needs (pharmacy, GP, pub, general store). Within 10 minutes you can rock climb or go swimming in a fresh waterhole. It’s a beautiful part of the world.

4 nights at BIG4 Port Elliot Holiday Park

Although the park was busy, its location and facilities were very convenient. The park is located between two busy coastal towns on a point with a quaint seaside village within a pushbike ride. The park was impeccably clean and facilities were in great condition with plenty of hot water. The land has access to two beaches and a small bluff to take in the sunset. Room for kids & dogs. Plenty of space to drive through for van and space for the car. Local town had some amazing venues and shops. Surf was plentiful with lots of local breaks. Didn’t really need to deal with the office so not sure on staff assistance. Great spot.

Gooses Pond is a lovely peaceful camp in a large paddock with spectacular views. Sites were well spaced, so quite private. There was a flushing toilet as well as an undercover area to use. Firewood is available to purchase and host Billie-Jo was so helpful and friendly.

My wife and I came for a night away and were amazed by the huge open space! Was great to be able to see the hills, watch the helicopters come and go and even say hello to the cows. Great to see there was a functional toilet to use as we were camping in our swag (I would recommend maybe a light for inside the toilets when it’s dark). Great little shelter provided that we were lucky enough to use for the night to keep out the sun, as we just had our swag set up. Pet friendly was a bonus for us- the dog loved being able to adventure around! We’ll be back for sure, this place is a hidden gem. Thanks Billie-Jo!

In all honesty, when I was first asked to leave a review, my initial thought was no — simply because the place is so good I didn’t want to share the secret with anyone else! In all seriousness though, this spot is absolutely awesome. We had a camper van so we were well set up, but the location itself is what makes it so special — secluded, surrounded by lush green fields, with the most incredible backdrop of the hills. It was peaceful, relaxing, and honestly just sublime. We didn’t know exactly what to expect, but it exceeded every expectation. There’s a little shed that provides shelter plus a toilet that was super clean and actually flushes (I was half-expecting a long drop, so this was a very pleasant surprise!). The host was so friendly and accommodating, which just added to the experience. We’ll 100% be back — in droves next time! If I could offer one small suggestion, it would be to add some comfy seating in the sheltered area — maybe a couch or a few cushioned chairs. We brought our own fire pit and camp chairs, which worked perfectly, but a cozy seating setup would be a really nice bonus. Either way, this place is an absolute gem. Thank you so much for having us — can’t wait to return!

This was our first time using Hipcamp and we are so glad we chose Shannon’s property for our first HC experience. Shannon was very hospitable, relaxed and welcoming. His sidekick Salty was such a lovely Dog who would fetch a thrown stick all day! Would definitely recommend this Hipcamp without hesitation!
