We have 43 beautiful acres half way between Goolwa and Strathalbyn. We are located walking distance from lake alexandrina, we’re there are plenty of activities to do such as fishing, boating, and more. There is abundance of wildlife with our resident mob of kangaroos stoping by daily it’s a bird watchers paradise.
This site is a 4 minute walk from the main house and is completely private. The property has its own private road so plenty of room for kids to ride their bikes, we have horses and cows that guests are welcome to feed over the fence. Dogs are welcome lots of room for them to run around, we also have paddle boards for hire.
The town of milang has its own mini mart and cafe and on weekends the train museum is open for viewing.
Must be self contained and leave no trace.

Gum Park is a working Cattle Property where our family lives and works full time. We also have a butchery on farm where we process our own beef and pork for sale at local farmer's markets.
Gum Park is a certified organic farm, so no chemicals are sprayed on our pastures or anywhere within our property. Our property is at the top of the watershed, so we don't get run off from other properties nearby.
We are situated 14 km from the centre of Victor Harbor on the top of Cut Hill.
Other towns close by are Pt Elliot (9km) and Mount Compass (14km).
The Hipcamp campsite is situated in a paddock setting, nestled up against native scrub.

This is a campsite for those who want the best of both worlds, the serenity of the Australian Bush, but close to all the modern conveniences and holiday activities.
Surrounded by the Hindmarsh Valley National Park and a working sheep farm, you’ll be sharing this campsite with the local kangaroos, and if you’re lucky, an echidna or two. There’s a creek running through, and vibrant bird life.
Nearby is a beautiful bush-walk through the Mount Billy Conservation Park.
Situated half way between Myponga and Victor Harbor, only 15 minutes to either, there are many activities available. Kayaking on the Myponga reservoir, or surfing, swimming and sun bathing at either Horseshoe Bay or Waitpinga.
Urimbirra wildlife park is less than 10 minutes away, and around the corner is the Softfoot Alpaca Farm, with the on-site Swagman Restaurant. Also in Hindmarsh Valley is the lovely restaurant Lost Phoenix Farm.
Over your stay, you will likely encounter our two dogs, Lola and Sherlock, who very much enjoy meeting our guests. Lola is particularly fond of children and loves to play fetch with them, whilst Sherlock will try charm you out of your sausages. Despite what he says, he is well fed at home. They are both good at giving high fives. If you would prefer not to see the dogs, please just let us know and we will keep them under strict supervision.
An RV dump point is located on Adelaide Road, Victor Harbor, within the tourist information bay, 200m south of Waterport Road, approximately 10 minutes from the site.

Great little spot in Hindmarsh Valley, nice and quiet, well, except for the thousands of lovely birds! Lorikeets, rosellas, magpies and kookaburras were just a few that serenaded us throughout our stay. A shy kangaroo stopped by but wasn't too impressed that we had camped on the nice green grassy section, so bounced away. Very relaxing and enjoyable weekend all around.

What a beautiful spot and such a lovely hosts. Our kids loved exploring and seeing lots of kangaroos. Our kids absolutely fell in love with Lola their dog who would come when the kids called her and played all day long with them such a highlight! Hosts were so accommodating and great with communication we will 100 % be back again (our kids want to come back every weekend!) Thanks again! Best off grid stay so far!

Lovely grassy paddock site and area to explore. The only downside was that the site was very close to the road which was busier than we imagined it would be. It was great to have the space to ourselves and enjoy a campfire but limited flat ground for tenting, the caravan was great though.

Lovely space to get away from everything.
Jenna and her two children came to say hello and gave us some carrots to feed their horses.
Nice area in Milang Bay and only a short walk to a few shops, cafe, takeout and pub.

Such a great spot. Great views and a large area you get all to yourself. 15 mins to victor so shopping is easy, but still feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. Luke was welcoming and very helpful, would recommend!

Easy to find, really large area with trees for cover & views for miles.
Lovely meeting the very friendly Nick the horse & Kevin the sheep, they loved the carrots we packed for them. Only one other group while we were there, so it was lovely & quiet.

We all loved our time at Rocky Dale, the views were beautiful and it was lovely and quiet. The information about the site was accurate and Luke was very responsive to messages, ensuring communication was easy and our questions were answered. The visits from Sherlock and Lola, Luke’s dogs, were a wonderful bonus and our kids absolutely loved playing with them, especially Lola. We will definitely stay again in the future!

Great little spot to bring the family and dogs along.
