The free-range sites are on lovely flat camping areas amongst native trees, overlooking adjacent fields. One on-site caravan for two people with double bed, gas stove and small fridge is available to rent. Enjoy bird watching or walking part of the Lavender Trail which passes near camp. Relax at the communal campfire (depending on fire regulations). The camping grounds offer a generous amount of space, and great sunrises.
We have available fire pits, bush toilet, bush shower and a camp kitchen with gas BBQ. BYO firewood, toilet paper and dishwashing liquid. Pease take your rubbish with you when you leave. Pets welcome on leash at all times.
Children under 2 are free. Do not include them in your booking or they will be charged.
Campers need to arrive no later than 6.30pm unless otherwise arranged.
The property is around an hour drive from Adelaide, and Murray Bridge is only 20 km away.

Gum Gully was the name of the gully where the original settlers met for local church worship under a large gum tree. This campsite is located Eastern Adelaide hills & adjacent to Lavender Federation Trail. Kangaroos can be seen at sunrise & at dusk.

Welcome to our home Tanah Merdeka! Enjoy a private and picturesque camp-site by the creek with views of rolling hills, rocky outcrops and ancient gumtrees. Watch the Kangaroos and the birdlife, see if you can spot a yabbee or frog in the creek and sit back and unwind.
Tanah Merdeka is a 184 acre cattle farm currently stocked with Black Baldies, Speckle Park, Angus and Hereford.
The creek line paddocks are dedicated to Hipcampers, so you can be assured your campsite won't be interrupted by curious cows during your stay. We can't say the same for the wild kangaroos that call Tanah Merdeka home though.
Please be respectful of the working nature of the property and shut any gates you go through except for the automatic gates. Please respect our privacy and don't venture up the driveway towards the house.
You are welcome to walk through and explore the paddocks containing the creek line. Do not drive across the creek - walking and bicycles only.
Please do not feed the wildlife or the cattle and practice leave no trace camping. For stays longer than one night campers must bring a portable chemical toilet. Use only the firepit provided and comply with current fire danger restrictions. Some firewood may be available next to the firepit but please bring your own firewood if intending to have a fire as this can't be guaranteed.
Dogs are allowed off lead within the fenced camping paddock but be aware of grass seeds.

This 20 acre working property is dedicated to our horses, dogs, birds and relaxing!
You are welcome to wander into the big paddock to access the walking trails and continue on to explore the scrub area where many native birds come and go including kookaburras.
The line of trees planted in the gully area are dedicated koala forage trees so also wander down there and have a look and see if you can spot one.
Your relaxed property walk will take you past paddocked sheep (they may run up to you if they think you have something for them to eat. Cut apples or carrots into pieces for them ) Rams and Whethers are together in their own paddock, alpacas and Bobby are in with the Ewes and any lambs at the time protecting them from predators in another paddock.
There are horses, Dallas the mule (please do not enter their paddocks) , wild ducks at the dam, as well as our ducks and geese if they are out of their enclosure that day. There are raceways between all paddocks to continue your walk all around the property. Beware of the electric fencing though, it hurts if you touch it!
We also have some very friendly chooks and turkeys that LOVE to say hello and be hand fed chopped up pieces of apple, carrot, grapes and especially watermelon! Feel free to give them any food scraps you might have. We also have a family of magpies will enjoy any meat scraps you leave for them too.Dallas, our mule is always up for a bit of attention and any apples or carrots you might like to share with him.
Dallas is rather special as his dad is a "mammoth donkey" who has been imported from America. His mum is a stunning thoroughbred. Mammoth donkeys are a bigger/taller breed of donkey than Australian donkeys are. They are beginning to be used up north on stations instead of horses as mules are sturdier, more sure footed, not as flighty as horses so safer for stock men and women to use working with cattle. They can live into their late 30,s so have a longer working life as well.

Campsites 1, 2 and 3 are on the right hand side as you drive in via the automatic opening gate which you will be given access to once we have added your mobile number to the system after you have booked. We are currently planting more native shrubs and trees in this area to encourage even more bird life plus provide future windbreaks and further divide sites. From this area you will see the most spectacular sunsets and be able to have an open campfire during winter season.
The Dam It site, Tree line site and Solar paddock site are through another gate on the left hand side opposite site 3/ the paddock with the solar panels in it before you reach our residence, aviaries and toilet.
It is also through this gate you go to access the walking trails.
Besides sitting back relaxing reading a book with a nice local wine in your hand there are other nearby options to fill your days while staying on our property.
Take a short drive down Goldsfield Rd to the Mining Museum and hiking trails. A few KM's towards Williamstown stop in and see the Whispering Wall, built between 1899 and 1903, for its time of construction the dam was deemed a revolutionary engineering marvel. Sounds and voices, even a whisper can be clearly heard at the other end of the dam more then 100 meters away.
Continue on through Williamstown and hire a kayak and explore the Warren Reservoir with the resident pelicans. The Warren reservoir was built on the South Para River between 1914 and 1916.
Mt Crawford forest is then another short drive on where you can hike, ride and picnic and be guaranteed to see kangaroos in their natural habitat.
We are also ideally located being at the gateway to numerous wineries, take your e-bike and explore the towns in the Barossa Valley which are linked with rose lined bitumen trails, explore the shops, cafes and enjoy delectable food, stop in at the Lavender Farm, treat yourself to a scenic flights with Barossa Helicopters or challenge yourself at Barossa Bowland and fantastic themed Dinosaur mini golf just to name even more options!
Less than 10 minute drive from our front gate will have you at the lovely town of Lyndoch where the local IGA is a handy stop for those emergency essentials as well as the local bakery, craft shop, pub, post office, Lord of Lyndoch restaurant, Table Cafe Kies winery for starters. 10 Minures the other direction will see you at a new suburb Springwood which has a variety of shops and a Chemist, couple minutes further will have you at the lovely town of Gawler. The visitor center here is also home to local artists to exhibit their works.
Like to kayak? Well a short drive will take you to spectacular opportunities to do so. Hire is also available at the site at different times of the year.
Love exploring by bike? You are at the heartland of multiple trails you can access too. Local bike hire options are available too.
As you can see, you have plenty of options to tailor your stay to suit the type of experience you are after.

We loved the secluded nature of the space, even with other campers there we didn't feel boxed in. Lots of bird life! Ideally need to be self sufficient, although you can use the toilets up at the cellar door/cucina. We ate lunch at the restaurant and it was delicious Italian food.

This place is truly heaven on earth. Such a beautiful and super proper farm, very peaceful and got everything you need like clean toilets and water. Charlie, the host, is a super inspiring and relaxed italian guy who worked hard to build God‘s Hill- which it truly is. Would absolutely recommend this place. It also has a very nice Restaurant run by the Family. Felt very welcome and had great talks with Charlie. Thanks a lot for this wonderful hospitality!

Our experience at Gods Hill Winery has left us completely lost for words, something we don’t say lightly. From the moment you arrive, the views take your breath away. It instantly becomes clear why it’s called Gods Hill. The setting truly feels divine. Yet somehow, even with views like this, the food, wine, and people still manage to steal the show. The food and wine were genuinely the best we have ever tasted. Edward is an extraordinary chef. Every dish was thoughtful, fresh, and unforgettable. He honestly deserves a Michelin star. From the second you walk in, Rhylan makes you feel instantly welcome. His energy is infectious, his warmth genuine, and his humour had us laughing from the very beginning. He sets the tone for the entire experience. And then there is Charlie. Truly one of a kind. The wisdom and kindness he shared with us will stay with us long after we’ve left. You can feel that everything here is done with love, generosity, and intention. It’s rare to find a place where passion isn’t just spoken about, but deeply lived. We ended up staying an extra night because we simply couldn’t bring ourselves to leave. We left feeling not like guests, but like family.We genuinely cannot recommend this family-run gem highly enough. I will be telling every single person I come across about it. Camping at Kangaroo Creek was lovely! Thomas met us upon arrival and told us about his beautiful land (and his adorable cows!). He was really nice and let us explore the grounds.
The camp spot was private, quiet and was great for pitching our tent. We even saw a couple of kangaroos and a lot of cockatoos! The drive there was easy with a 2WD.
We would definitely go back, and I can recommend it to everyone regardless of camping style!
