Was a great farmstay, plenty of room, beautiful views, your on top of the world/plateau, great base to explore Hahndorf, Monarto Safari Park, Adelaide Hills, great host. Only negative and I think 🤔 it was just unlucky for us that it was very windy. It got to the stage of uncomfortable but locals that we chatted to said the wind was not normal. Stay was Xmas 2025. Would recommend stay but take warm clothes just in case the weather changes. We had looked at temps before we left home but the wind was unexpected.

Awesome camp in a paddock at Six Strings winery. Did the best tasting we've ever done with Michael, he took us through the whole process of growing through to bottling of his wines. Great base to explore McLaren Vale and surrounds from, and great alternative to a caravan park. Kim gave us some excellent cherries too! Would definitely recommend.

Kim and Michael’s property was a peaceful oasis overlooking the vines. We stayed here for 2 nights with family in 2 vans and loved the open space. Michael gave us a great wine tasting, explaining from start up of their family winery. Perfect location for exploring the McLaren region with Aldi close by for grocery top ups. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

They were lovely hosts and we got to sample some of their very nice wines which are available for purchase. They will happily assist with suggested places to visit whilst in McLaren Vale. I absolutely loved camping at the plateau. Its such a beautiful serene place. Fantastic for the rugged style camping. The views are spectacular and Jarrod is such a fantastic host. Make sure you have a strong sturdy tent, I recommend a dome tent as the winds can get intense sometimes as your very high up. This style of camping is for experienced campers. I loved every part of it and I will definitely be going up there regularly.

We live in a beautiful hidden valley on 30 acres, We're joined by friendly dogs, horses, alpacas, rabbits, guinea pigs, 2 lovely Camels, 2 cheeky pigs, Galloway cows and chooks, along with the resident wildlife including many birds, kangaroos, koalas, shy owls, and even an echidna! All this, plus beautiful views from atop our hills, right to the lake, and the delightful winter creek complete with frogs. We are close to the McLaren Vale wine region as well as wineries throughout the Hills and 35 minutes to the coast of Victor Harbor. The Greenman Inn is 5 minutes down the road and has wonderful food from Wed to Sun if you do not feel the urge to cook with wood fires for the cold nights or a gorgeous outdoor area for the warmer months. At present, we offer two areas for camping. Topspot which has lovely views and is quite secluded amongst the tree tops. This site is suitable for tents and camper trailers (need reasonable backing skills and 4WD) The Laneway which is close to the babbling creek is suitable for those with a small caravan, or motorhome, 2WD etc, along with tent campers. (but would struggle with large caravans/motorhomes - please check with hosts) (The Lookout/Highview has spectacular views Please note this site is currently closed due to stock rotation.) If you have any doubts about which to book, please ask. AUTUMN/WINTER MONTHS: if we receive considerable rain the trek up to the hill sites could become slippery and not accessible as it is a farm paddock, therefore unfortunately your booking may need to be cancelled. NOTE: On our farm there is limited phone coverage in the valley (The Laneway). Pets are welcome, however, please ensure they are kept under control (unless discussed with the host) at all times. Please note: This is an active small farm, therefore work may need be continued throughout your stay possibly necessitating the use of machinery and tending to our livestock. If you wish to see some of the animals up close, please let us know and we will try to accommodate. We ask that all fires be contained within the fire pit provided and a portable toilet is available for your use. BUSHFIRE SEASON: Wood and open fires are not permitted in the bushfire season, therefore you will not be able to use the fire pits.

We have 43 beautiful acres half way between Goolwa and Strathalbyn. We are located walking distance from lake alexandrina, we’re there are plenty of activities to do such as fishing, boating, and more. There is abundance of wildlife with our resident mob of kangaroos stoping by daily it’s a bird watchers paradise. This site is a 4 minute walk from the main house and is completely private. The property has its own private road so plenty of room for kids to ride their bikes, we have horses and cows that guests are welcome to feed over the fence. Dogs are welcome lots of room for them to run around, we also have paddle boards for hire. The town of milang has its own mini mart and cafe and on weekends the train museum is open for viewing. We are a small vineyard, winery and cellar door set on 45 acres of land. It's mostly pasture with 7 acres of vineyard. Guests are welcome to park during the week in the cellar door carpark. On weekends we have a grassed strip, 8 metres wide, between a vineyard block and a windbreak. Which overlooks the valley behind and distant hills to the front. Being self contained is essential. Our toilets are only accessible when the cellar door is open. On weekends guests are welcome to come for dinner on Friday or for lunch on Saturday or Sunday, and then stay overnight, so they can enjoy a few drinks without worrying about driving home!

Camp Toondilla is set up for self-contained campers who bring their own camp toilet and take all waste with them when they go. Well-behaved pets are welcome. We live in a beautiful hidden valley on 30 acres, We're joined by friendly dogs, horses, alpacas, rabbits, guinea pigs, 2 lovely Camels, 2 cheeky pigs, Galloway cows and chooks, along with the resident wildlife including many birds, kangaroos, koalas, shy owls, and even an echidna! All this, plus beautiful views from atop our hills, right to the lake, and the delightful winter creek complete with frogs. We are close to the McLaren Vale wine region as well as wineries throughout the Hills and 35 minutes to the coast of Victor Harbor. The Greenman Inn is 5 minutes down the road and has wonderful food from Wed to Sun if you do not feel the urge to cook with wood fires for the cold nights or a gorgeous outdoor area for the warmer months. At present, we offer two areas for camping. Topspot which has lovely views and is quite secluded amongst the tree tops. This site is suitable for tents and camper trailers (need reasonable backing skills and 4WD) The Laneway which is close to the babbling creek is suitable for those with a small caravan, or motorhome, 2WD etc, along with tent campers. (but would struggle with large caravans/motorhomes - please check with hosts) (The Lookout/Highview has spectacular views Please note this site is currently closed due to stock rotation.) If you have any doubts about which to book, please ask. AUTUMN/WINTER MONTHS: if we receive considerable rain the trek up to the hill sites could become slippery and not accessible as it is a farm paddock, therefore unfortunately your booking may need to be cancelled. NOTE: On our farm there is limited phone coverage in the valley (The Laneway). Pets are welcome, however, please ensure they are kept under control (unless discussed with the host) at all times. Please note: This is an active small farm, therefore work may need be continued throughout your stay possibly necessitating the use of machinery and tending to our livestock. If you wish to see some of the animals up close, please let us know and we will try to accommodate. We ask that all fires be contained within the fire pit provided and a portable toilet is available for your use. BUSHFIRE SEASON: Wood and open fires are not permitted in the bushfire season, therefore you will not be able to use the fire pits.
