‘Kuntha La’ - peaceful place… We are on the water’s edge at the junction of Currency Creek and The River Murray. Our property sits within the International Ramsar Wetlands. Come and enjoy the water birds, kangaroos, spectacular stargazing and wide open skies. Bring your kayaks, explore the waterways and experience the beautiful bird-life, including egrets, herons, harriers, black swans, pelicans, cormorants, moore-hens, ducks and more. Goolwa is at the mouth of the mighty Murray River and the entrance to beautiful Coorong National Park, so there’s plenty of places to explore.
We are currently offering space for two self-contained campers. Please note that ALL CAMPERS MUST BE SELF-CONTAINED and LEAVE NO TRACE. There is public dump facility 5km away in South Goolwa.
Grounds can be wet and soft during wet weather so please be mindful of your vehicle’s weight and ability to go through wet paddocks.
Our property is approximately 4km from beautiful Goolwa township. Attractions include the Historic Steam Ranger Cockle Train which runs from Goolwa to Port Elliot and Victor Harbor each Sunday & Wednesday, and every day during school holidays.
There are also a range of cafes, restaurants, galleries, and a distillery. Spirit of the Coorong cruises leave from Goolwa Wharf, where you can also board the historic Oscar W paddle steamer.
Markets are held every Sunday at Jaralde Park adjacent to the Goolwa Wharf.

Gum Gully was the name of the gully where the original settlers met for local church worship under a large gum tree. This campsite is located Eastern Adelaide hills & adjacent to Lavender Federation Trail. Kangaroos can be seen at sunrise & at dusk.

Set on a hillside plateau adjacent a working fruit and nut orchard , the single campsite provides a small sheltered area with plenty of wildlife to let you know you are out of suburbia ( eg wedge tail eagles, rosellas , cockatoos , blue wrens and some resident kangaroos ... ( you may also see a koala . ( however drop bears are almost extinct here )
Secluded but connected ... Why travel more than you have to to escape and get back to basics? You can set up camp and be sipping a wine or hot beverage in the bush tranquility in less than an hour from most suburbs .
The campsite is set on a hill with a view . It is not a parkland but offers a true taste of nature with native grass and vegetation .
approx 15 mins from Magill and about 40 mins to the CBD / small caravans ok .
Bushwalk on the property or Rock climb at nearby Morialta falls / hike Cleland / Mt Lofty or use the Grove as a base to expore the nearby Heysen trail , the many bakeries , eateries , wineries, breweries and distilleries nearby . Visit historic Marble Hill residence on open days, or enjoy many of the many events the Adelaide hills has on offer. ( Medieval fair / Adelaide rally / SALA / bay to Birdwood / Anzac / country fairs to name a few )
Enjoy pure Marble Hill spring Water ... Roast some chestnuts * over the campfire or gather some wild blackberries* , or mushrooms *. ( * in season ) .
Pls Note :- Campers are provided a basic toilet / waste disposal pit area and your self contained outdoor showers are welcome .
Pet waste must be removed and any onsite rubbish must be placed in the roadside wheelie bin ( off site ) on departure .

Our farm has a Bernese Mountain Dog named Lotti, 6 chooks and a rooster.
Surrounded on one side by National Park and the other by vineyards and plenty of wineries, Summertown is a special place.
The next township is Uraidla, just a few minutes away, and has all the necessary needs (pharmacy, GP, pub, general store).
Within 10 minutes you can rock climb or go swimming in a fresh waterhole. It’s a beautiful part of the world.

Such a lovely peaceful place. Despite being closish to the house, I never heard anything other than birds and animals. It was as if I was in the middle of nowhere.
Gillian was very friendly and went out of her way to accomodate me. Will definitely visit again.

We had a beautiful drive to the camp checking the historic buildings and canola fields on the way. We arrived to a great spot - open paddocks gave a sense of space. Rocky outcrops in the area had a Flinders Ranges feel and made for some nice hiking up the hill to see the views.
Highly recommend this for those looking for a getaway without having to drive far.

I love exploring and this camp site had so much exploring that could be done. Saw Kangaroos, Koalas, and Eagles. Heading a little higher up the hill behind the campsite had stunning views through the hills. I would definitely recommend this campsite to others.
