Ideally located just a couple of kilometres from Robe on the Southern Ports Highway (road side number #4437), The Four Mile Farm offers spaces for self contained vans, camper trailers and tents, in a tranquil ten acre rural setting. Only minutes to the Robe township, restaurants, cafes, shopping and Robe's famous Long Beach, The Four Mile has an abundance of wide open spaces to find a private nook to park up for a night - or a week. New facilities include a utility room and ensuite featuring a hot shower and flush toilet, located inside the front shed, as well as a new shower block with two hot showers and an additional flush toilet, just a short stroll from the camping area. (Showers are coin operated - bring a good supply of $2 coins). Bring a chair and relax round the community fire pit in the evening (fire season excepted). Moorak, South Australia. Our property is located 5km south of Mt Gambier with distant views of the extinct volcano including the Blue Lake and crater Lakes precinct. No facilities. Due to council regulations we can only accept self-contained campervans and caravans with internal toilet/ensuite. Traditional, ancestral territory of the Boandik First Nations people. We are situated on a quiet country road. This camp site is a fenced two-acre paddock surrounded on the east, south and west sides with revegetation of local native trees, shrubs and grasses. This area is a fabulous star gazing location with a clear and un-obstructed horizon. The historical Centenary Tower and Crater Lakes can be seen from the campsite. Campfires and firewood available. Firewood available on request ($10/bag at 10kg includes kindling). Pets welcome but we request they're on lead for safety of your pet. Bryton Wood campsite is only 7min drive to the heart of Mt Gambier, 20min to the coast and beaches, and 30min to the Glenelg River in western Victoria. Our property is located in Canuda, the terrain is hilly with several clear, flat spots good for camping. The entire 33 acres is available for you to explore on a nature walk. The property also has a bath with a hand pump from which you can pump beautiful clear drinking water. There may be some fine particles in the water which will settle or can be filtered out. There are a number of good camping locations near the bath. Any clear area within the boundary is available to camp in. Being a declared scrub block it is undisturbed and both brown and tiger snakes are present but if you leave them alone they will mind their own business. Small fires are permitted, only where a fire ring exists and out of fire ban season. Check listing details for more information. Gas fires and BBQ are not permitted during total fireban. The Canunda National Park is only a 4km drive from the property and has plenty of stunning beaches and beautiful walks you can enjoy. It is also a popular fishing spot and has some great 4WD tracks to explore.

Had a great stay at four mile farm. Jacqui was incredibly friendly and welcoming, recommending the best spots to set up camp and giving us tips for the town. The site was clean and the facilities were just what we needed. Lovely and quiet, with plenty of nature around.

Weekend Trip to Bryton Wood Campsite

This is the perfect spot for anyone visiting Mount Gambier. I highly recommend it. Not far from town yet so peacefull. A huge grass area with fire pits. Although we couldn’t use them as it was raining most of our trip. Toni was quick at responding to any questions and very helpful although we didn’t get to meet her as we were out most days. Would definitely come back here.

There is plenty of room to move at Bryton and all sites are flat. Toni and their two dogs met us and were very easy to speak too. Bryan came around later with some info for us . Firewood is available as well. It was an easy and quick drive into Mt Gambier from the camp. If we are down this way again we would definitely stay here.

A great place to stay and park our caravan. Close to Mt Gambier and all the things we wanted to see and do. Bryan and Toni were very welcoming and accommodating. Girls were free to explore and we even met Ralph (Highland cow) and Bryan and Toni brought down food for the girls to feed him.

Beautiful & Quiet spot. We were lucky to only have 1 other camper for one night of 6 so had the camp to ourselves. Loved the inground fire pits and little stools. It was a great base camp for us and even though we had some wet weather the paddock wasn't soggy or puddled which was great

We enjoyed our stay here, the site was large, level and well maintained it was a good place to stay to explore Mt Gambier. There are 8 sites but we were lucky enough to have it all to ourselves, but there is enough room that you would not be on top of each other if all sites were booked. We also purchased a bag of firewood from Bryan which was good value.

Great area. Great little fire pit for our family with wood available to purchase. We had an issue with our van and the host contacted a local trade and it was fixed in the morning. Couldn’t recommend highly enough, great spot and people.

We found Bryton Wood very well located, close to the town and sights of Mt Gambier, and well off the main road so traffic noise was only distant. The grounds were freshly mown and clean, with plenty of space between sites. Host Toni was friendly and we would not hesitate to visit again and recommend to others

Lovely quiet location close to everything, no shade so awesome for solar and hosts are so friendly and super organised. There are 8 sites around the perimeter of the paddock - sites are of reasonable size and we were fortunate to only have to share with one other van but we feel that if all 8 were occupied it would be getting a little congested for our liking. Allowing camp fires and providing good dry wood (at a cost) was a bonus. Would be ideal if you were travelling as a group and booked a site each.
