The signage from the main road was what caught my interest. Drove in and booked a spot (online) from the car park. It felt so welcoming. I will be back.

Great proximity to the city for a one or two nighter! Camp site 4 has a next door neighbour dog that barks a fair bit when you arrive but he settles down. Otherwise, nice spot and peaceful! We were able to arrive early and leave late which was a nice bonus. There’s lots of kindling around, too.

5 nights at Willa Willa Park

We absolutely loved our stay here. We only stayed for one night on our way north and we would definitely stay there again. Lambert and Deborah are really sweet and caring people, that are really easy going and love to hear story's about your journey. The amenities (bathroom and kitchen) are in a brand new closed shed and really clean. Obviously its a shed so it won't be as clean as a normal house (dust and spiderwebs) but still clean. Lambert offered us to park our ute with rooftent in the middle open bay in the shed to be out of the rain, what we glady did, so everything stayed dry and out if the wind. Even though there is a water treatment plant next to the property you hardly smell anything. In the closed shed there are a few games provided such as a pingpongtable, airhockey and cards and also anything that comes with a kitchen, like plates, cutlery, etc. Would definitely recommend!

The kids absolutely loved the farm, the animals and the whole experience. They cant wait to visit again. Darren is a wonderful host, the water tank ran dry in the cabin and he was onsite in minutes to help fix the issue. So nice being able to tent camp with nobody but the birds & animals for company, but also having a lovely kitchen & bathroom on hand as well. Will be back!

1 night at Canoelands Orchard Camping

Lovey place to stay. The amenities are lovely, making a very comfortable stay. My kids loved having the ping pong and air hockey table, I loved the new bathroom! Great location very close to an easy bike ride. We love the campfire and having wood was such a treat. We explored the property, saw many kangaroos. The only downside was being close to the sewerage plant, when the wind blew the smell come over.

This is a lovely camp site with fantastic views. I would highly recommend this site to someone who is new to camping or enjoys camping with with a view of the valley

We enjoyed our winter stay, fire pits available great to keep you warm and roast some marshmallows or mini Krankies a new treat for our lot. amble variety of fruit and veg to walk through and pick. very popular for the day trippers, The camping space was adequate, absolutely massive, allows you have large groups and or set up away camp from other campers for a little privacy. safe for kids and toddlers, with entertainment of farm animals and tractor rides only one shower but if you book, it works out well, it is a bit of a walk to amenities, nice stroll under the moon light or short drive if you don't have other options in your camp set up. amble variety of fruit and veg to walk through and pick. very popular for the day trippers, we will be looking forward to booking again for the summer fruits

1 night at Wedderburn Hideaway

We had a great time camping over the long weekend. We appreciated the flat site which made setup easy and the location in the middle of the orchard was very nice. Some great sunsets and the kids really enjoyed themselves (including the tractor ride). The owners are very nice and it was great to learn about their family's long history on the property.

We had the perfect first Sydney camping as a family at Wedderburn hideaway. Robert was an awesome host, very welcoming and friendly. He even helped us with our tent when we encontered an issue during our set up. Went out of his way to help and show us kindess. The place itself was amazing, not only you have the wonderful nature around you, there’s also the farm animals that just really add to the great experience and ambiance of the place. Not to mention the lovely dogs running around and just being friendly. I cant recommend the place enough wanting to have a relaxing weekend just outside the city

Campsite 2 was a fantastic experience. The site was clean, well-maintained, and offered a good level of privacy. It’s in a beautiful, secluded location surrounded by nature — perfect for a peaceful getaway. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unplug and enjoy the outdoors.

Loved this quiet, beautiful spot! As a solo camper I felt very safe. They provided the fire wood, which is a huge bonus. Saw lots of roos, and many birds. Lovely path and walk to the river. Lambert was a legend, made sure I had everything I needed. Debbie was excellent with communication. Bathroom was immaculate and lots of extras that families would love. I'll certainly be back!

Colo River Hut

We are 1.5 hrs from Sydney. On arrival you will feel the atmosphere of this wilderness area. Colo River Hut is located adjacent to the Colo River. A beautiful, unspoiled location on a pristine river. With it's own private beach and over 400 metres of riverfront. We are on the opposite side of river from the the Wollemi National Park. The hut sits (alone) within the eastern (10 acre paddock) of our property. There are no walls and so you have permanent views across the paddock to large sandstone cliffs and we are less than 30 metres from the riverbank. The Hut has a rustic tin roof, a large bench area with power points and task lighting. Tents or swags can be set up within the Colo River Hut. Or, if you wish, you can set up your tent or camper or small caravan adjacent to the Hut. There is plenty of room as there is a maximum of 8 guests (and 3 vehicles) with each booking. The Hut has a raised hardwood timber floor and enclosed composting toilet and hot/cold shower facilities. It also has ceiling fans for airflow and insect control. We provide a gorgeous shaded area under a large tree with valley views, with a large bbq table and chairs and fire pit (with grill) for your enjoyment. Firewood is also provided. Suitable for swimming, canoes, bikes, Bass fishing, and hiking, the Colo River Hut can be as active or relaxing as you wish. The Colo River Valley remains largely undiscovered, and is on the edge of the Wollemi wilderness. The Colo is fed by the Wolgan and Capertee Rivers. It has a long history and retains much of its' early unspoiled charm.

Canoelands Orchard Camping

Canoelands Orchard Camping and Fruit Picking, is located just 1 hour from Sydney's CBD. The property is 81 acres in total with a small shop and cafe onsite. We offer pick your own fruit so are open to the public daily (closed on occasion). Trading hours can be viewed at www.bookingscanoeladns.com. We are surrounded by the stunning valley views of Marra Marra National Park. Guests can enjoy hiking, wandering the orchard picking fresh produce, taking a tractor ride, feeding the animals and relaxing. Please note we are a working farm so sometimes tractors and vehicles can be heard working from 7am. There will be foot traffic and possibly tractor rides operating near some of the sites although we will do our best to respect your privacy while you are here. We also have a quarry surrounding most of the property, so they sometimes operate machinery early. This is not generally too disruptive though. We are just 15 minutes' drive from the beautiful historical Wiseman's Ferry and the Hawkesbury River. There are multiple hiking tracks located close by. We have several sites to offer around the property. We have a beautiful huge dam just 350m down the gully. It’s super peaceful although a steep walk down the driveway to access, it's definitely worth it, so pack your walking shoes and some swimmers.

At Wildwoods you'll find 330 acres of natural bushland and a small amount of cleared farmland/paddocks with incredible views in every direction. Endless gullies, mountains, forests, cliffs, and caves to explore on the property or on the crown land adjoining. An amazing amount of wildlife - Birds, wombats, kangaroos of all kinds (wallaby, wallaroo, eastern greys etc), goannas, echidnas, turtles, ducks just to name a few. There are also plenty of roads to ride and explore via mountain bike or foot. The road in is a little rough, and there is only a small amount of levelled land. But it is still an amazing spot, where nature does all the hard work, and I would love to share it with people. Hartley Vale Garlic Farm

The Hartley Vale Garlic Farm was established in 2018 as an organic garlic farm now owned by James and Michelle and their two children. The farm features a hempcrete building named 'The Stinking Rose' used for drying and curing garlic, that also acts as a big room for garlic feasts during planting (March, April and May each year). The building also houses toilet and shower facilities for guests when camping on site. On some evenings, the sky puts on a real show of golden sun rays with pink, purple and blue clouds while swallows flit across the garden beds catching moths. Our guests like to sit around their campfires watching the spectacular show while kids and dogs run around without the burden of leashes or noise of city traffic.

Down by the Hawkesbury

Originally settled in 1889 "Bobs Grant" this lovely property and the surrounding land was originally used for farming but is now mostly turf farms. Enjoy our little getaway down by the Hawkesbury River only 10 minutes from historic Windsor. A beautiful river shack for your use exclusively, including fire pit with direct access to the Hawkesbury river. Destroyed in the March and July 2022 floods, we have now re-built and are looking forward to welcoming back our guests. Bring your caravans, tent or swag - all are welcome! Unfortunately, boats are not. Relax and enjoy the serenity whilst being only 1 hour from Sydney. We offer the site to one group only, a maximum of 20 guests. However note, we are not a place for rowdy groups and parties. Groups are welcome here to enjoy the time with their family and friends, play a little music and relax by the river. The river can get busy (which is great after the floods as it has been dead for so long) and so can the road across the river but if you are enjoying your family and friends you won't even notice! We have one basic toilet, and one river water shower available too! Please bring your own drinking water. Fires are only permitted when allowed, in the designated areas only.

Platypus Waterhole Kanimbla

Platypus Waterhole is rented out as one site exclusive to the booking. This exclusivity allows our guests complete privacy. We are located on a cattle property less that two hours out of the rush and business of cities. Our camping site is suitable for groups up to 20 people. The camp site is close to two creeks, Blackheath Creek and Little Stoney Creek where the protected Platypus are frequently seen, along with our wombats and kangaroos. Cox’s River is a ten minute drive suitable for swimming and fishing. We charge all guests a one-off exclusivity site fee. This applies to all guests whether you book one night or seven nights. You need to add this to your booking. This is an exclusive private camping area on the beautiful Blackheath Creek. The camping area has a fantastic shelter/camp kitchen with internal fireplace, wood fired stove, sink, running water & a preparation area together with a gas BBQ & large dining table with bench seats. There is hot water and an open air shower. A long drop toilet is located nearby. At night the shelter is lit by solar powered lights & the glow of the campfire. The shelter is accessible by 4WD. "DeView" Colo River Valley Camping

Beautiful property, nestled into the Colo Valley, next to the pristine Colo River. We have cleared grassy paddocks, some shady areas, and access to the Colo River, one of the most pristine rivers in NSW. Our river access is normally shallow, well suited to young families or those who just want to lay back and enjoy a quiet refreshing dip. Amazing sunrises, sunsets, and star gazing are provided free of charge along with bird watching, local wildlife, and horses in surrounding paddocks. We offer limited sites to comply with NSW Camping legislation and Hipcamp guidelines and to enable campers to experience the Colo as it should be, listening to the beautiful wildlife and really appreciating the outdoors. Sites are large spaces with varying distance between sites to enable you to enjoy the camping experience in your own space. Both paddock sites and limited river spots are available. If you are planning to stay with friends and you wish to share a site only 1 booking is required, the sites are large, some up to 30m x 30m. (Saturday night 2 night minimum) Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis, please check with Hosts prior to booking, as conditions and a charge applies. Please ADD EXTRA at checkout for dogs... $20 per dog per visit There is no mobile reception or internet access, therefore, providing a true off-grid retreat. Self-sufficient campers are preferred. There are fire drums available on each site, most with grill plates - subject to RFS bush fire danger ratings on the day. There are three communal flushing toilets and two awesome hot water showers! ALL waste is to leave with you! There are local bush walks through National Parks and great places for mountain bike riding although be mindful of holiday traffic in peak times on our local dirt roads. The local shop, Colo Riverside is open 4 days a week Thurs-Sun, just 10kms up the road providing last-minute supplies, ice, bottle shop, and cafe services. Dharawal Camp offers all the benefits of glamping. Hello Campers! Our beautiful property is located on 20 acres in a convenient location just 10 minutes out of Campbelltown. The property is a short drive to Dharawal National Park, and a great 'home base' while you explore everything the area has to offer. There are fire pits provided for campfires, given there are no fire bans or restrictions in place. If you would like to be further away you can camp near our dam which is becoming more popular as of late .If you would like to be totally tucked away in the bush we also have spots totally surrounded by bush, please let us know when booking. There is a hot outdoor shower and a toilet on site just a short walk from all the camp sites. Mountain Lagoon Hideaway

Located at Bilpin, this beautiful campsite is nestled at the foot of the majestic Blue Mountains and backs onto Wollemi National Park. This magical 16 acres is abundant with wildlife and where you camp is the mouth to the beginning of some great hiking tracks in the National Park! There are a few great campsites to choose from- one at the top of the property (good for families/large groups up to approx 20) with good flat ground and surrounded by a lush forest. It's close to the road so it is easy access in and out, another two at the back with water views and one in the forest (If you have 4wd and portable loo we can give you an exclusive spot in the bottom of the golden gorge). Enjoy the sounds of the bubbling stream and see the sunset at the waterhole. Sit back and relax around the campfire whilst toasting a marshmallow or some damper. This campsite offers a unique heptagonal toilet (no shower yet but its on the way). Please ensure you're fully self sufficient with all other supplies (including water). From here you can explore the amazing Blue Mountain views, marvel at a magical glow worm dell, check out the 2 apple cider breweries and taste some of the region's delicious produce. Colo River is 30 mins away, a clear waterhole is 10 min drive ( 4wd only- hosts can transport if available), the mouth of a hiking trail to the National Park is on the property, the main township of Bilpin is close by with the baker, fruit and vege picking, Mountain Bells Cafe (host recommendation), apple pies galore and the restaurant , the markets are on Saturday morning 10-12 noon at the local hall and there is a free meditation group 9am Sunday at the monastery. With so much to do you will need more than one night or plan a return visit to the amazing Mountain Lagoon Hideaway at Bilpin! We can also offer massage and reiki treatments on site as a 'nature immersion' experience or if you prefer it can be in the privacy of a massage studio (10 mins away), guided nature and wildlife walks/sunset walks or longer hikes, professional ecology tours, fire twirling lessons or performance and African drumming lessons, games for the kids, local produce hampers, eggs and BBQS (with notice and if hosts are available). Please discuss with your hosts for further details and availability :) PLEASE ensure you read rules and safety as well as directions, because GPS will take you to the wrong property. The land is a nature retreat and developing animal rescue sanctuary so we love to share the space with respectful nature loving people :) Our motto is leave no trace. Hidden Acres

Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and immerse yourself in the tranquility of nature at our stunning hidden acreage, just one hour from Sydney. The property is situated a short 3km from the historical Great North Road. The 3km journey takes you past the state forest along a dirt road. Access is easy in any type of vehicle. Despite feeling a world away, the property is conveniently located just a 15-minute drive to groceries and food, 20 minutes from the Laguna Trading Post, and 25 minutes to the Historic town of Wollombi. As soon as you drive through the gates you leave the world behind. You enter a hidden oasis of wildlife and bird life. Due to its secluded location, the property is free from any road and traffic noise. It’s simply you and nature. Reception on the property is limited to Optus. It’s a good way to have a digital detox. There are only 2 sites available on the property, both away from the main house. One is more suited to tent camping, whilst the other site is in a large open clearing that can accommodate multiple guests and is adjacent to the grass tennis court. Our limited number of campsites means you can enjoy the beauty of nature without being crowded. The property has some eclectic collections scattered around and is frequented by the owners. We encourage you to explore it. There are so many features for active people to enjoy, especially the wet Sclerophyll bush gully. We are pet friendly, but please respect the native kangaroos, koalas, wombats, and amazing bird life. Be self-contained with your own camping toilet/shower, water, and supplies, and enjoy fires in the provided fire pits. The sites currently do not have toilet or electrical facilities, but something we are working on. So please bring your own toilet and take all waste with you when you leave.
