The Bottom Paddock is located within a short drive from pristine uncrowded beaches, National Parks and the coastal holiday towns of Bermagui and Tathra on the far south coast of NSW. Grocery and supply stores are all within easy reach.
This is a quiet tranquil camping experience. If you’re planning a more lively getaway, The Bottom Paddock might not be the right fit for you.
The property is almost entirely forested with an array of vegetation community types including wetlands, riparian, coastal rainforest, open spotted gum forest and coastal scrub. We welcome you to immerse yourself in the varied terrain by foot or bike. You can explore the hillside and ridges, or have a gentle meander and swim down by the river.
The property has two listings to choose from, paddock sites and a bell tent site, which are nestled beside the waters of the Murrah River underneath beautiful old mother She Oaks. Each campsite has its own fire pit, grill and hotplate. Let us know if you need to borrow a skillet or camp oven. Firewood is also available if required.
The Bottom Paddock is an evolving property with strong roots in community sufficiency, environmental and regenerative initiatives.

'Murrumbooee' ~ Waterfall Paradise, is 100 acres of a private, solitary, bushland, waterfall retreat, bordered by South East Forest National Park on two sides. Enjoy a two day weekend, intimate immersion in nature at it's best!
Take a peaceful break to reconnect and bathe in the natural surroundings.
We offer a sauna/sweat + cold plunge package (see 'extras' for booking), as well as a myriad of opportunities, all at your own pace such as ~ wildlife watching, stargazing, bushwalking/hiking, trail running, rock hopping, nature photography/journalling, swimming in the waterholes or just sitting around your campfire, relaxing and unwinding.
In addition, we can provide a brunch food hamper, made from local ingredients where possible, from the beautiful Bega Valley! Gluten free options catered for (see 'extras').
Campsites are limited and exclusive, either camping with your own tent plus tree hammock provided, or book our three person tree tent. We also have a tent site. Parking is allocated on-site, with a short 300m walk to your campsite, so hiking gear is recommended. Please let your host know if you have a 2WD or 4WD car.
Open for bookings, two night minimum, 2pm check in 'til before dark - check out 11am.
Please note - firewood is provided - included in your booking & set ready for you to use. Campfires + sauna are subject to fire restrictions. Water and toilet amenities available.
Please bring your choice of insect repellent.
This is a 'leave no trace' property, so you will need to take your rubbish with you. Apologies - no pets ~ Thankyou.
