Goulburn Downs

Goulburn downs is a working sheep station on the Goulburn River between Echuca and Sheparton .

 All sites are separated by distance so your camping by yourself .

Four sites can be accessed with a 4wd and can fit off road  vans and camper trailers and have river views

The horse camp can fit large horse floats/vans 

Activies include hiking/fishing/boating/canoeing/push bike riding/horse riding/ swimming /bird watching in the lagoons and you are welcome to watch or participate in any sheep work happening in your stay.

A four wheel drive is recommended for all sites atm

All camps have a fire pit /fire wood and trash cans provided. 

No toilets are provided.

Zanker's Farm

We have a 440ac certified organic farm. We run a mixed farming operation, involving milking a small herd of cows, beef cows, approx 2,000 laying chickens, a few sheep, pigs & laying ducks. We also grow about 1 acre of garlic.Our aim is to regenerate/improve the land through the careful management of animals and to be self-sufficient as much as we can. We are a family-run farm with our 3 teenage sons.Good access for caravans and larger vehicles. There is no toilet available for campers yet, but we plan to add this to our property soon. Campfires permitted in winter/when restrictions aren't in place (BYO own wood or ask us about buying some).Eggs for sale and other farm produce on request. Book a farm tour and learn about food production.

Tuxedo Rye

This is an open area with trees. Plenty of space. There are no amenities here so you must be self-contained and leave no trace. Dog friendly & campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place. Firewood is available for free.Small working farm with remnant trees, 25km from Echucha. Camping area is approximately 10 acres.All rubbish to be taken with you, appropriate and respectful behaviour at all times. Fires permitted except in high fire danger period.Plenty of native wildlife including birds. The property is located about an hour to Bendigo. Bendigo is Victoria's fourth largest city, located around 150 kilometres north-west of Melbourne.

Our organic farm has been operating since 1988. We are 5 mins from the mighty Murray River. Our space is quiet, off main roads, though only 2 mins from the Murray Valley Highway, so easy to get to for you to enjoy your 

getaway &; to relax.

We grow an extensive range of products from almonds, honey, olives and vegetables. 

Good access for caravans and motorhomes (easy off the road and to turn around). 

If not self sufficient,  we have extras you can booked.

Use of undercover full kitchen/lounge area  ~ for water , jug/toaster ,

Tooranie Stay

 Our 300-acre off-grid property backs onto the Barmah National Park. This forest, together with the adjoining Millewa forest, forms the largest River Red Gum forest in the world - it's majestic to explore. Our property is just 500 meters from the Murray River. From your camp, roughly a 1 kilometre walk through the forest. On our boundary is Backwater Creek, which fills with water when the Murray River is up. 

NOTE: Creek is often dry. It has water in it after environmental flows of the Murray. This can happen several times a year and the water lasts a few months. If you have any questions about water levels please ask before booking as it might be dry when you're here.

We're located just 5kms northeast of Moama, where you can hop aboard a paddle-steamer, visit waterside wineries and soak up rich riverboat heritage. 

We offer a few large, beautiful, basic bush camping sites (the best kind!) in amongst  50 acres of bushland, with 100's of meters and trees between you and other potential campers.

The rest of our property is used for cropping and sheep. 

Campers must  take out what you bring in.  

Big Bama and No 3 - you'll need to be fully self contained. There is a dump point in Moama. 

Toilets can be hired from Central Hire in Echuca.  They can deliver it for you.

Mobile and internet is usually reliable,  though with long weekends and summer school holidays the service seems to disappear! 

*Please feel free to book anyone in your possie that is under 18 as a child.

Campsite with old man weed covering the ground. Smells amazing but can make you sneeze (in a satisfying way) if you sniff too close.

Sandalwoods by the lagoon

We truly are in the bush offering camping on the edge of a peaceful lagoon which allows you to see Australian natural beauty at it’s best. Kangaroos hop past and the birdlife is simply stunning. The Murray River is a walk away so bushwalking is as easy as putting your boots on. While we do not provide amenities we do provide a vista that is hard to find. Botanical rare flora and fauna are found on these Sandhills. We have ancient sandalwood trees, remnant Murray Pines, huge eucalyptus trees and myrtle bushes. This country is of The Wolithica clan of the Yorta Yorta nation and is steeped in cultural history. Scar trees, maddens and more. Echidna and wallabies, eagles and sand ridge birds abound.We ask that you leave only your footprints and to know that if you don’t bring it with you it’s not here.The towns of Echuca and Gunbower are not far away And provide culinary delights, paddle steamer rides and lots of activities for visitors. If you want you can just chillax and rewild your senses right here on the lagoon or you can go find adventure close by. Riverside wineries, gourmet food, hire a kayak, go boating or feel the history of the river on board a paddle steamer.
