We run a sheep farm on our property located north east of Dubbo. This is the land of big sky country. The sunrises and sunsets are spectacular here along with starry nights, beside the campfire especially when the full moon arrives. It is nothing short of amazing as you marvel at the sights from the verandah of The Tiny Home or from your campsite. Not far from our property you’ll find the Goonoo CCA Zone 1 National Park. CCA Zone parks are Community Conservation Areas reserved as national parks. The greater Dubbo region offers many activities for tourists, adventure seekers and nature lovers. The Tiny House is fully self-contained with a fold out double bed and a little kitchenette featuring a fridge, microwave, cookware and utensils and a BBQ. The bathroom/laundry are separate. We also offer a campsite for additional family members or friends. You're welcome to go for a swim in the dam which is a short walk away, or take a stroll to the top of the rocky hill to see 360 degree views. 3 nights at Black Gate Distillery

We spent 3 days here and it was lovely! The amenities including a shower were very clean and tidy, with plenty of hot water (just need to move the cute little frogs along before use). Hosts are very friendly and accommodating. Make sure you ask them for a tasting at the distillery while you’re there. There’s a free camp down the road, but this farm is ideal if you want a little more privacy and security.

Weekend Trip to Billy'O Bush Retreat

Billy's Bush Retreat was awesome, all the sites were spread out so you never heard anyone from other sites. Mark was an awesome host, set up yabby fishing in the dam for the kids and also some land scurfing behind his buggy. The bar area looked amazing with all the old items scattered around. What was even better the broncos won the grand final when we were there which we watched on a big screen TV while Mark had the smoker going. Only 15 minutes out of Dubbo and you felt like you were in the middle of no where. Well done mate and happy 8th birthday to Billy's.

Great spot for a quick overnight camp. The toilets and shower were nice and clean. We were the only ones there so it was nice and quiet. We used the bbq in the camp kitchen for a quick cook up, which was handy. We’ll have to come back again when we have more time! Communication was excellent

I stayed at the Black Gate Distillery camp ground after stopping by for a rum and whiskey tasting. I can't recommend the tasting enough. Genise ran me through a tasting of the available spirits, giving a good explanation of each sample. Then, Brian took me into the distillery to see the inner workings. His passion and enthusiasm was obvious. He gave me tastings of several of the spirits in the barrels while explaining the process. In fact, I had to tell him that my taste buds had had enough as he was happy to keep going. I was the only person at the camp ground, so it was difficult to rate it. Firewood was supplied, but it was a waste lighting a fire for myself, so I didn't. The amenities were very good - clean, hot showers. There was a BBQ available, but I didn't use it.

Genise was very responsive and helpful in the booking and lead up to our stay at the Black Gate Distillery, and Brian was there to help us out on arrival. The amenities were in great condition, and the distillery and surrounds were very interesting to camp amongst. We enjoyed having a campfire, and enjoyed our stay in general. Thank you.

We had a fantastic stay. It was great to find the amenities clean, tidy and with hot water. The site was flat and we had a decent camp fire pit right next to where we set up. We pre- booked into a distillery tour and spent our time with Genise, who was the perfect host. We learnt the ins and outs of the distillery, how they came to be in the industry and had a fabulous time tasting the excellent quality whisky and rum. Included was a platter with the most delicious locally produced cheese. Definitely worth a visit. One tip is camp towards the rear of the site as there can be a bit of road noise in the morning. But that did not bother us at all.
