Once a much larger property, we purchased our 120-acre (50-hectare) in 1984 as a means to live sustainably and raise a family. Living in our shed whilst we prepared the garden, put in watering infrastructure and built our house which we finally moved in when our daughter was 6 months old in 1990. Over the ensuing years we have continued to increase biodiversity on the property and set it up so we can live sustainably, harvesting our own water, electricity and food. If your lucky you could get a hamper of our product when there is sufficient in season. With the increased biodiversity you will find that in the mornings and evenings kangaroos and wallabies will visit with the occasional echidna, rabbit and hare; and to forget the large array of bird life - that may wake you early in the morning with the songs. This campsite is set on lovely grassy open areas interspersed with gum trees. The sunrise looks spectacular near the dam, when the trees give off a lovely glow. The main paddock has a Geodome, a shared space for relaxing in. With all that space you can park and set up camp anywhere in the paddock. There is access to drinking water, toilets, and a hot shower. Around the dome is a firepit, drinking water and a camp kitchen. The firepit features an Argentinian BBQ and a plate for cooking. The kitchen has plates, cups, cutlery, and other bits and pieces for you to use. If you want exclusive use of the paddocks - refer to Group Bush Retreat.

With over 600 acres of Australian bush, our property is ideal for campers that want their own space. We are completely off-grid (no wifi to distract you) and we run off tank water (for this reason showers are only available for two hours in the evening). There are multiple camp sites on the property - some are close to hot showers and toilets, others are within a short walking distance. Some sites are perfect for our self sufficient campers who might want a nice private location and don't need access to amenities. There are two shared camp kitchen areas (with pizza ovens and bbqs). We have two amenities blocks with toilets and hot showers and two further compost toilets located at other sites. Campfires are permitted in designated areas (check with us when booking) and firewood can be added to your booking - we do require at least 24 hours notice if you want wood. There are lots of old-style games for the kids such as cricket, tennis, playground, bikes available, a swim in the dam and general country running around fun! Unfortunately we no longer have our flying fox, but there are plenty of other activities to keep you busy. We have some great bush walking areas where you might be lucky enough to see our resident wombats or our breeding pair of Wedge-tailed Eagles. You might also be lucky enough to be there when our two kelpies, Finn and Tori, are moving sheep through the property (they like to put on a show!!). The property dates back to the early 1900s and there are numerous historic buildings on the property. The earliest is a wooden slab hut that was built around the beginning of the 19th century - the Goulburn Penny Post newspaper, dated 3 December 1904 lines the walls of the hut. It also has a two shearing stand wooden shed built by Marcus Dawe in 1922. We try to make sure all of our guests have a great experience - so if you have any special requests reach out to us and have a chat!

Welcome to our beautiful riverside farm in the NSW south coast. We offer exclusive use of our campgrounds for a relaxing getaway and privacy. Surrounding is 2.5kms of the pristine Buckenbowra River with swimming holes to enjoy, 4WD routes, State forests and National Park for exploring. We are located 19km off the Pacific Highway from the historical town of Mogo (and Mogo Zoo) on an all weather gravel/dirt road with a concrete causeway crossing at the entrance of the property. Choose from a selection campsites, one that overlooks farmland with views to the river flats and mountains or a grassed riverbank. The large and open level grassy area is perfect for tents, caravans and RVs. A flushing toilet and a hot water shower are available. Phone reception is pretty reliable. There is a deep swimming hole close by, wonderful for a dip, snorkling, gold panning... At the edge of the swimming hole is mowed grass area for relaxing. Children are welcome, although to be supervised at all times. We also have a designated campfire area with firewood supplied on arrival and additional available if requested. Dogs welcome if controlled at all times and do not interfere with our livestock.

The garden predominately faces north , but has been created on a hill with gardens facing all directions of the compass . The camp site is on what we call our sports ground, encompassed by a stone wall and with a water view of our recently remodelled dam. This garden is the home of countless [only because we haven't counted them] birds. Bird watches will love this garden camp location. The garden was created for our daughters wedding, thus the gazebo, pizza oven and fire pit. Our location ,just off the Federal Highway makes this place unique .

Mike Shepherd has been running Back to Basics living camps here for more then 30 years and we now want to invite campers to our picturesque Yurt village. We can show kids what farm life is all about and how to make fun in the bush or you can just come and enjoy the peace and quiet. Apart from abundant wildlife we farm sheep and Scottish Highland cattle. We also have lots of horses and dogs and you can collect fresh eggs from our chickens. Take a stroll through our gardens, a hike to the Peace yurt and boil the Billy or learn about growing vegetables. We have toilets and a kitchen yurt for your convenience. With over 600 acres of Australian bush, our property is ideal for campers that want their own space. We are completely off-grid (no wifi to distract you) and we run off tank water (for this reason showers are only available for two hours in the evening). There are multiple camp sites on the property - some are close to hot showers and toilets, others are within a short walking distance. Some sites are perfect for our self sufficient campers who might want a nice private location and don't need access to amenities. There are two shared camp kitchen areas (with pizza ovens and bbqs). We have two amenities blocks with toilets and hot showers and two further compost toilets located at other sites. Campfires are permitted in designated areas (check with us when booking) and firewood can be added to your booking - we do require at least 24 hours notice if you want wood. There are lots of old-style games for the kids such as cricket, tennis, playground, bikes available, a swim in the dam and general country running around fun! Unfortunately we no longer have our flying fox, but there are plenty of other activities to keep you busy. We have some great bush walking areas where you might be lucky enough to see our resident wombats or our breeding pair of Wedge-tailed Eagles. You might also be lucky enough to be there when our two kelpies, Finn and Tori, are moving sheep through the property (they like to put on a show!!). The property dates back to the early 1900s and there are numerous historic buildings on the property. The earliest is a wooden slab hut that was built around the beginning of the 19th century - the Goulburn Penny Post newspaper, dated 3 December 1904 lines the walls of the hut. It also has a two shearing stand wooden shed built by Marcus Dawe in 1922. Originally a historical farming property, Clyde River Camp Grounds offer the ultimate in camping on manicured pastures directly on the Clyde River. We also offer Powered Caravan and RV sites, unpowered in Off peak times For powered sites please book through: Clyde River Caravan and RV Resort. Please note campsites are non powered (Caravans and RV's welcome for unpowered visits in off peak times) It is a 10 min drive from Nelligen town centre and a 20 min drive from Batemans Bay. If you need supplies you can also travel by boat into Batemans Bay and tie up to many of its wharfs for that different experience. The camping area is surrounded by walking tracks and over the Christmas period the renowned Clyde Berry Farm is open where you can pick your own fresh berries or relax on the grounds for a ice-cream. You will find Shallow Crossing is also just a 10 min drive up the River Road for an exhilarating swim in fresh mountain water. The traditional water side camp kitchen offers a BBQ and table to eat. Has power and lighting, fresh drinking water, toilet, hot and cold shower and plenty of cover. With a fire pit just outside for toasting of marshmallows this makes for the best camping spot in the region. Please be mindful this is a camping and caravaning experience, there is for your convenience a flushing toilet (bring own toilet paper) and shower onsite, in busy periods (peak times) there may be a slight wait for these amenities. This site has its own concrete boat ramp making a heaven for all fisho's and skiers. The ramp is totally safe to launch any watercraft. With water onsite you can even flush motors at the end of the day. The property has Telstra coverage for added security.

Hidden River Valley, Buckenbowra

Welcome to our beautiful riverside farm in the NSW south coast. We offer exclusive use of our campgrounds for a relaxing getaway and privacy. Surrounding is 2.5kms of the pristine Buckenbowra River with swimming holes to enjoy, 4WD routes, State forests and National Park for exploring. We are located 19km off the Pacific Highway from the historical town of Mogo (and Mogo Zoo) on an all weather gravel/dirt road with a concrete causeway crossing at the entrance of the property. Choose from a selection campsites, one that overlooks farmland with views to the river flats and mountains or a grassed riverbank. The large and open level grassy area is perfect for tents, caravans and RVs. A flushing toilet and a hot water shower are available. Phone reception is pretty reliable. There is a deep swimming hole close by, wonderful for a dip, snorkling, gold panning... At the edge of the swimming hole is mowed grass area for relaxing. Children are welcome, although to be supervised at all times. We also have a designated campfire area with firewood supplied on arrival and additional available if requested. Dogs welcome if controlled at all times and do not interfere with our livestock.
