Its far enough out of town for complete silence, but only 30 minutes back into town. Close to Googong Dam (which is great for fishing, kayaking, walking). Dog friendly so the whole family can visit.

The camp-site is well positioned in the country side below the foot hills of Talaganda nationl park but only a short 10 minute drive to Historic Bungendore or 30 minute drive to the centre of Canberra .
You can expect a quiet and sheltered grassy camp-site with easy access straight off the black and plenty of room to spread out and relax.
The sites have some friendly cows and sheep near by and the odd wombat that might pass by swell as vast variety of native birds.

Great, private, quiet field with friendly cows and sheep (other the other side of an electric fence) that like to come and say hi. A little difficult to find when we first arrived as Google maps sent us to the wrong spot. Find the white gate (pictured) and you’ll find the site
