Caravan parks in Australian Capital Territory

·

Urban entertainment and natural wonders meet in the pint-sized Australian Capital Territory, hemmed in by lakes, vineyards, and nature reserves. Whether you're driving over for the weekend from nearby Sydney, flying in from Melbourne and renting a campervan, or passing through Canberra on a cross-country road trip, there are plenty of spots to park your motorhome. Swing by the capital to peruse the museums and national monuments, stop by Lake Burley Griffin to boat, kayak, or stand-up paddleboard, then head into the hills of the Canberra wine region and check into a private campground among the vines. South of Canberra, the alpine bushlands of the Namadgi National Park cover much of the ACT, where you can hike, mountain bike, and rock climb, then check into a rustic campground. Amenities typically include toilets, firepits, and BBQs, but you'll also find caravan parks around Canberra with full hookups and swimming pools.
