The Landing at Index WA

This was the most beautiful campground we have ever stayed at! The campsite was so spacious, clean,, and the view of the river was unbeatable. The campsite felt very private and we had the beach to ourselves. Communication was excellent!

Osprey site

First time here and very happy with this spot. The spot is spacious, plenty of parking and more than enough room for tents. We fit a huge tent no problem. The bathroom is stocked and surprisingly nice for an outhouse. The covered cooking area is amazing. Has solar lights which half worked and that made it easier to keep lit at night. There is so much counter space and a flat top propane grill and was stoked the propane is provided. The picnic table is huge. No joke you could seat 18 at this thing and it was an awesome place to gather. The best thing is the beach though. Amazing beach access and it’s sandy so the kids loved it. The river was amazing, deep spots, shallow spots and it wasn’t flowing fast so swimming and paddle boarding was easy even for kids. We dropped anchors and spent lots of time on paddle boards. Very private and although we shared the beach with another spot it was big and still felt private. My only gripe is people using our access to get back up to their sites. Walked right up and through our campsite. Happened a couple times and once my 6 year old was changing out of a swimsuit so that wasn’t cool. Host is very friendly, helpful and great at communicating and helped with all the questions I had. Oh and also has two lounge chairs that stay at the spot which was great because we left ours at home to save truck space. Would definitely book again.

Campsite 6 - (18+) Paddlers Cove

We loved it here! The beach was really great for little kids; it was very private from the other campsites, and the outhouse was suprisingly clean. Will definitely come back!

No refund for hazardous air quality

Booked campsite 6 for two nights, but unfortunately had to leave early due to the hazardous, smoky weather. Since this campground is on the more expensive side, I reached out to David to request a partial refund, as these were extenuating circumstances. I would have appreciated at the very least a response to my refund request.

Perfect Family Campsite

The views from camp were spectacular & river was awesome. When we camped in mid-August the river was calm and deep enough for the kids to have a perfect place to play. The grill & huge picnic table were awesome to have and David was readily available when we contacted him for assistance. Also, cleanest outhouse I’ve ever seen. Excellent camping experience!!

Campsite 6 - (18+) Paddlers Cove

We had a great time camping at The Landing. The campsite and bathrooms were extremely clean. Communication with the host was excellent, David was very friendly and helpful. Our teenagers enjoyed swimming and rockhounding at the beach. We will definitely camp here again.

Amazing views and river access

Amazing camping spot! The Landing feels so secluded and remote, but you’re still close enough to town if you need supplies from Index General Store or want to grab a coffee at the Espresso Chalet. The views are absolutely beautiful, and the river is great whether you want to relax and enjoy the scenery or have a little fun. David has done such a great job with the campsite. You can tell a lot of thought went into making it comfortable and enjoyable. There’s a grill in the fire pit, a shelter already set up, and even the outhouse was incredibly clean. Honestly, it was probably the cleanest outhouse I’ve ever seen. We had such a great time that we actually booked another stay in a couple of weeks while we were still sitting there taking in the views. That should tell you how much we loved it! We can’t wait to go back!

River Rat Summer

Site 2 (Ravens Roost) was exactly what I hoped it would be. It had its own private road that was a bit tucked away from the other sites, plenty of space for our family to spread out, and a huge fire pit with a bbq grate. The beach/river access was a little bit of a hike down- maybe challenging for older people or young children, but our 5 year old managed okay! We loved having two types of beaches- a rocky one and a sandy one, both perfect for exploring, relaxing, and playing! David was great with communication throughout our stay. We had the best time as a family and my son said his favorite part of the camp site was “finding sticks to roast weenies and marshmallows”. We can’t wait to be back next year!

A perfect escape!

This is my second stay at The Landing, but my first at Spot 2 (Raven). It's beyond beautiful. The common shoreline is perfect for swimming and rafting, at least in the summers. The composting toilet is well maintained and easy to use. It's so private and unique. Can't wait to go back!

Absolutely gorgeous location right next to the river. All of the sites at The Landing are well maintained and have multiple great locations to set up tents and/or hammocks. The picnic tables are HUGE so there's enough room to set up a kitchen area on one end and still play lots of boardgames on the rest.

We’ve camped a lot and this was our favorite site by far! Loved the extra large picnic tables, fire pit and easy water access. The place was incredibly well maintained and David was quick to respond with questions and flexible. It was a beautiful place and we hope to return!

It was a really great camp spot, nice view and a great place for swimming in the river, it felt like a swimming pool. Yeah that was deep in some areas but super clear and refreshing! We kind of shared a same spot for swimming with people staying in next door campsite but while we were at our spot it felt completely private and there was nothing to bother us, it felt that we are alone in the middle of the wilderness. The only thing that I didn’t like was the sound of cars in the other side of the river which only happened three or four times during our one day stay. Overall we enjoyed our time there

We loved our stay at site 5 at the landing. It was very well taken care of. Lots of room for our 3 tents and 2 cars. Good privacy, and amazing views and access to the river. The grill, prep counter and huge picnic table were such a great addition.

Beautiful and well maintained camp site! We had 5 adults and 3 young kids, everyone had a good time. Site 3 is very private, with small sand area and access to water. There is also water and beach access nearby that is good for young kids. Owner is very responsive and gives clear instructions about how to get to the camp site. We will definitely come back again!
