This site would be considered, by most, our best. The sounds of the falls is captivating, while engulfing campers in a mist of privacy. The space is perfect for smaller tents, and with stunning sunsets every night, this site provides a very intimate setting. As always either me Shandie, or my husband Jesse will be just a text away should you need anything. There are a pair of kayaks for the Lake, and access to a huge untouched wilderness spanning hundreds of miles. Campsites are mostly undeveloped to preserve the natural beauty of the Sierra Nevada. The out house is about 40 yards away and there is abundant shade do to the raw nature of the place, campers must use caution. There are timber rattlers and bears that share these mountains. Although sightings are rare, they are a reality. Timber rattlers, from which my brief meetings with, seem very busy and generally uninterested in me. Wet rocks can be slippery, nighttime without a flashlight can be very dark. The terrain is often uneven, rugged, and very beautiful. We are at 4500 feet, so November through February can have snow on the ground and can dip below freezing at night. The weather here is usually very tame, but always good to check before booking, The Mono and Nuiim tribe have called this area home for hundreds of years. Shaver Lake is a must see just 8 minutes away, and snow skiing another 45 mins at China Peak. We are 2 miles off the main road into town on the west side of the mountain. As stewards of this sacred land, we extend our deepest gratitude to every Hipcamper who joins us in our mission to preserve these treasured acres. Together, let's cultivate a community dedicated to safeguarding these precious remnants of history and beauty of the area and its ecosystem, It is well known that Hipcampers are the most respectful and best looking of all the camping crowd, but some are better at the leave no trace policy than others. It is critical that we deposit all trash into the receptacle. There are garbage bins for your use next to the shipping container, and one can be put at your site upon request. This site is my personal favorite. It includes the entire flat with sky deck, Gazebo, picnic table, fire pits, and pool chairs in the water, as well as natural infinity pool. As you enter the camp, take the first left and follow the sign labeled "Lower Falls." This area, once a ceremonial spot for the Nuiim Natives and it emanates an undeniable profound energy, especially at sunset when the air feels charged with negative ions like before a storm. Lower Falls features a spacious area for larger groups and secluded tent sites nestled in a Manzanita grove. Perched on a large granite outcropping, it offers stunning views of the basin below. Musick Creek carves out natural pools in the smooth rock, perfect for a refreshing dip, before cascading 30 feet into larger pools and further into a nature preserve. This site is the perfect vantage point for our nightly, serene sunsets. However, please navigate carefully as there are steep ledges and the road down is inclined with sharp corners. Improvements are underway, but if you have a longer rig, take it slow and steady. Respecting Our Neighbors Musick Creek Falls borders a Nature Conservancy. Nearly all proceeds from your stay contribute to preserving this beautiful area. It is crucial that we all respect our downstream neighbors and practice the "Leave No Trace" policy. Trash bins are available next to the shipping container, and we can provide one at your site upon request. We share our space with the elusive Sasquatch, who is known to strongly dislike littering. Let's keep our environment clean and enjoyable for everyone. Additional Information Weather: Mild for most of the year. A sweatshirt suffices most nights, and it's not too hot during the day. Amenities: Kayaks, spare tents, camping gear, blankets, and more are available if you forget something. Cell Service: Most cell phones have good reception throughout the property. This site is perfect for 1 or 2 medium-sized tents. The ground is covered with cedar chips to keep your gear clean. Although this site isn't directly on the water, it is closest to the bathroom and easy access to the biggest water fall. There are tables, a gazebo, and a fire pit, and trails that explore the other waterfalls leaving from the site. This site is perfect for groups that plan to spend most of their time at Shaver Lake or hiking. This is also the safest and level ground for smaller children. Musick Creek borders on a Nature Conservancy. Since nearly all proceeds from your support go to the preservation of the area and its ecosystem, It is crucial that we respect our downstream neighbors. It is well known that Hipcampers are most respectful and best looking of all the camping crowd, some are better at the leave no trace policy than others. It is critical that we deposit all trash into the receptacle. There are garbage bins for your use next to the shipping container, and one can be put at your site upon request. Sasquatch has been known to rip the limbs clean out of the sockets of campers he/she/it has suspected of littering. I scolded the squatch, but when he/she/it tried handing back the arms to the campers... well I'm sure you can see the problem there.

From this site you can see 2 of the properties most impressive waterfalls, as well as incredible landscapes in literally every direction you look. Upper Falls is a wide granite terrace perched above Musick Creek’s upper waterfall, with flat cedar-chip tent pads, a screened gazebo, picnic table, and fire ring overlooking the basin. The site accommodates one large tent or two smaller tents, and guests may park up to two vehicles directly beside the camp. Manzanita and pines surround the space, offering privacy while still opening to expansive views of the falls and the mountains beyond. The terrain includes natural rock shelves and ledges, giving the site its dramatic character—best suited for attentive, sure-footed campers. Now, a few notes about this cozy little spot. It's perfect for small, intimate groups—think one or two smaller dome tents. If you're planning on doing frat boy keg stands, this might not be the spot for you. The terrain can be a bit risky for smaller kids, with slick rocks near the falls and a pretty significant cliff face. So, it's best for campers who are a bit more on the careful side. This land is so very well loved by Shandie. It really is a hidden world from everything else. Not only was Shandie a wonderful host but her land is truly a gift to the heart. The road to the property is mostly paved and ends with gravel with some larger humps and bumps. But was plenty doable with my boat of a sedan with its questionable clearance. Just take it slow for the more nervous of drivers. Musick Cove is smack dab right next to the falls, and even in the late fall, is roaring with life. It's perfectly intimate for two. It's tucked away with plenty of trees and brush for privacy. If you do wander a bit you can see the other sites, one above the falls and Midway Lookout but like I said the brush and trees provide plenty of privacy. It had a charcoal grill and a fire pit for use. I can see maybe two tents fitting in the area but I would say it comfortably fits one much better. Outhouse is not too far from the site and is clean and cared after frequently. Go explore the land! Of course safely and respectfully but so many things to discover just by walking around. So happy to see the lands returning after the Creek Fire. Could not recommend this enough. Will be returning when the snow melts and brings more life to the already beautiful world Shandie and her crew take so much care for.

An amazing view and sleeping there is a dream with the waterfall running all night. Shandie was such an amazing host, my dog ended up getting lost and she did what she could to help me find him even extending my stay another night free of charge. We will 100% be returning.

I did camping on Sunday night at Music Creek Falls, and it turned out to be one of the best experiences ever! The place was beautifully maintained — surrounded by nature, peaceful, and had the perfect waterfall right next to my tent spot, which felt so private and special. Even though it was quite cold, my dog and I couldn’t resist playing in the crystal-clear water. The night sky was breathtaking for stargazing — something I’ll never forget. But what truly made this trip special was Shandie, the host. Since we were two females camping, she went above and beyond to make sure we were safe and comfortable. She personally carried firewood for us, provided hot chocolate, offered sleeping bags, and made sure we had everything we needed for a cozy night. I’ve done many camping trips before, but I’ve never felt this safe and cared for. Shandie’s kindness and attention made this camping experience unforgettable.

Our stay was amazing, definitely recommend this spot! The site was spacious and felt more private. The view and sunsets were really nice. Sleeping next to a waterfall was super peaceful and we even did a little cold plunge in the afternoon. Brought my dog and it was nice to be able to have some space for him to play too. We had the pleasure of meeting the host Shandie who was very welcoming/helpful and we enjoyed hearing stories about the land. We really wish we had more time to explore, but we will be back! The lake is about 10min away and we had a really enjoyable afternoon on the beach to ourselves, the lake was serene and the views hard to beat. Don’t pass on this spot! Shout out to Randy too, who helped out with firewood a handful of times and making sure we always had enough

A Great Place to Stay

Everyone at the camp was amazing! The place had great views and we fell asleep to the sound of a waterfall every evening. Shandie offered to let us use kayaks at the nearby lake, we had wood for fires and it was quiet. There are little touches, like wood chips on the ground to reduce mud that quietly made it better. I would definitely recommend a visit, just don't trust the GPS coordinates. We had to drive a little further than our mapping program indicated, but only 2 minutes or so. However, it is worth the trip!

It is definitely a magical place. It was quite a drive from San Jose for one night. But it worth it! Immersed in nature in a spot you can’t stop admiring. The hosts were amazing and made sure I find the spot. We connected immediately and I got help parking. I would come again any time. Thank you for providing these camping spots for us.its really incredible. The sierra is a totally different world and this is a little piece on heaven you found there are care for.

Musick Creek Falls is a really special place and our new favorite camping spot. Shandie, Jesse and Randy were so friendly, accommodating and generous literally the best hosts ever. They go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. No matter which of the spots you book you will be happy. They are all unique and offer their own stunning views and are just far enough apart that you still have some privacy. The waterfalls are beautiful and offer all kinds of unique little places to explore along the creek.

My friends and I returned to Shandie's land for a 2nd year in a row to celebrate my fiancees birthday and will absolutely be back again. The land itself is stunning and the waterfalls make for an unforgettable and unique experience. We were blessed with amazing weather - it had just rained so the soil was packed (no dust and barely any bugs). We enjoyed warm days bathing in the water and cool nights around the fire under endless stars - it was magic! Shandie and her team were so good to us, too. They provided us with firewood throughout the weekend, made sure that we had access to water so we could wash dishes, and were super responsive to messages I sent before and during our trip. Also, the bathroom was always clean and consistently restocked with supplies. Shandie is an excellent host and I would highly recommend camping on her land. 10/10

This place was gorgeous and we had the most relaxing weekend here. There's a lot to do in the area as well. We hiked, went kayaking on the lake (thank you to our hosts for letting us borrow their kayaks!) and explored the beautiful waterfalls. We had everything we needed at this site, thanks to the amazing hosts. I will definitely be coming back :)

I can’t say enough about how wonderful our stay was. Friendly and responsive host. Camp site has beautiful views and the access to the waterfalls is the cherry on top! Felt very safe and private. We wish we could have stayed much longer than just one night. We will definitely be back! Was such a special experience, visiting this sacred land.

Upper Falls with Incredible View
This is one of the most beautiful campsites I’ve visited. Shandie and Jessie are amazing hosts, and they are so knowledgeable about the land. It is clear that they put a lot of love and care into their surroundings. The campground (if you can call it that, it’s more of a preserve) is extremely well taken care of, and there is so much to explore and enjoy. Highly recommend!!

Not cool of been lied about the camping site I had reserved. And when I walk to the camp site there was other people there. I had paid extra for the specific spot. Very disappointed expecting my money back after driving 3+ hours…. To be send to a different camp site.
