This place may not be for everyone, but for two dual sport motorcycle campers shut out of “normal” campgrounds due to the government shutdown, it was perfect. Kind of a steampunk vibe with lots of concrete and steel, with a view of the Stony Gorge Reservoir spillway. It is central to some fantastic motorcycle riding.

Huge area to choose a spot to camp. Plenty of trees for hammock camping and lots of flat area for tents. Common area was super cool with a HOT outdoor shower. Shower does have walls that cover your torso and stuff, but it's not completely enclosed. Shared kitchen facilities, fridge, freezer, etc. all pretty top notch for a hipcamp spot. Two flush toilets in a shed structure with a lockable door. Would love a sink in there :)

If you're looking for a quiet place to rest before a Thunderhill day, this is it. Awesome hosts, level spot, really cute dogs around and even got to hand feed ducks at the pond. Highly recommend.

it’s off the beaten path but worth it!! huge common space with so many amenities and also a lot of privacy. Paige and Mike are wonderful, gave me options for setting up camp and helped me out with some cool spots to check out!!

Paige and Mike's Eucalyptus campground was a great last minute find for me on my motocamping trip. The site has lots of options for camping, albeit more freeform that a traditional lot with picnic table site. It has a great common area and beautiful surroundings including a duck pond and friendly ducks. Very close to a restaurant and reservoir. Reminded me of RV camping sites in NZ! Extremely friendly host and cute doggos. I would absolutely go back for a Spring visit.

In a small town of elk creek off the 5, Paige’s farm was such a fun and cute pit stop to round out our weeklong camping trip. The best parts of this Hipcamp:
1. Instant book—we woke up the morning of and found the place, booked it and secured a night stay, and was messaging with Paige soon after to make the arrangements
2. Property is so big, with interesting history, farm animals, and amenities! There was a cute area with a fridge, kitchen, grill, sink w drinking water, and even some spices/oil for you to use. I was really shocked bc you won’t find lots of hipcamps with all of that!!! The hospitality and kindness of the hosts was present in so many ways!
3. We got the tour on the 4-wheeler that others talked about and it was truly a highlight of my whole trip!! I’d never been on one before it was so much fun!!
4. There’s a nearby reservoir that we swam in and looks like you can also go swim in the river below the bridge on the way there. Fishing galore. We saw deer, turtles, massive fish, just while standing over the foot bridge
5. The stars truly are beautiful out there
Perhaps our summer trip in 100+ degree heat is not the ideal time for a stay, as it hit 90s pretty early in the morning!! so we hope to return some day when the days are cooler!! Thank you to Paige and her husband for being so friendly and opening up such a cool and special place for travelers like us :-)

Impossible to find while following hosts' Gps coordinates we came to road we were supposed to go down to her place. It was CLOSED. You should not rent out your place if folks have difficulty finding it

Wow, the host Mike & Paige was such a nice nice guy. He offered to stay up a bit later to greet us as our journey took many twists and turn along the way. I wish I had more time to get to meet our hosts.
The property he owns is also pretty eclectic with countless little spots to camp up and still feel secluded. The property is huge, and there are a chorus of frogs in the many ponds on prem.
Getting around the property is easy too - the roads are well maintained.

I loved the area. Camping place was amazing. Most amazing part was friendly nature of the host.
Mike and Paige are great host. Only one day after camping. We feel like a part of there family.
They checked on us. In case we need anything. Their kitchen area is great. Gas grills, showers are free. We will go back there no questions asked.
Their land is hidden gem. Mike gives us tour of his property on the 4 wheeler. That was extra special. Landscape is beautiful. We camp almost edge of the creek. Very peaceful and quiet.
All the modern amenities in beautiful wilderness.
Property has water pounds as well as running natural creek. Property is just amazing and beautiful.

Our experience camping in Elk Creek surrounded by the eucalyptus trees was everything we expected it to be and more. When we first arrived we were greeted by the hosts and their friendly dogs, they were all very warm and welcoming. They made us feel right at home. Mike and Paige helped us pick out a beautiful spot closer to all the amenities. Setting up camp was quick and easy, 1 tent and the bed of the truck to enjoy all the beautiful stars. We even saw quite a few meteors. Mike was nice enough to give us a ride on the side by side to give us a tour of the property and then we hung out with the hosts around the campfire making s'mores and swapping stories. Heading to bed was very quite and listening to nature was very peaceful. The bullfrogs at the pond sung us to sleep. 10/10 would recommend this campsite for a fun family getaway. Stoney Gorge Resevoir is just a quick few minute drive away for summer fun activies and the Elk Horn restaurant had many delicious food choices. Thank you Mike and Paige for your hospitality, can't wait to come back!

Mike and Paige are amazing people and gracious hosts! My group and I truly enjoyed their energy, their willingness and drive to make our experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible! The views of the stars are breathtaking!! Worth it to come there for that experience alone. there are also a couple of areas to hang out in the shade that they built that are awesome! The only caveat on camping on their land is that it’s really hot in the summer, and I would recommend others to come there when temperatures are cooler. Enjoy yourselves!

Paige and Mike were amazing hosts. They went above and beyond to make sure my family and I had a fantastic visit. Everything from letting us use an extra table for our campsite to taking us for a ride on their atvs and helping our son catch his very first fish! We will certainly be back

Amazing location! The snow capped mountain, ponds reflecting the beauty of nature, lots of birds during the day and tons of stars during the night, everything is amazing!!! We saw a shooting star during the night! We had everything we needed and more for camping. There was hot & cold shower too. We will definitely go back.

Had a great time. It was a quick one-night trip astronomy trip to image a comet that was everything I hoped it would be:
-The skies were dark (Bortle 2).
-Their large concrete pad was a great spot to setup both the travel trailer and the astronomy gear.
-The surrounding hills are low enough they don't encroach on low in the sky objects.
Paige and her husband were very welcoming and offered to show us around the property for all the recreation opportunities they had. They also offered to let us stay well past checkout time. Sadly, we were on a short timeline and were in and out.
I definitely recommend this site for amateur astronomer types looking for a good place to image (particularly southward).

Had a fantastic time at Paige and Mike’s. A very unique location! The amenities were great and the hosts were so friendly and helpful. Our kids in particular loved their dogs and their fishing pond. Very recommended!

I wasn't able to stay after a last minute reservation and a last minute cancellation. Paige alerted me that I might want to re-consider my stay as the distance I'd have to travel to my next destination was considerable. She was looking out for my best interests.

Camping at Paige and Mike's was so fun! They have a really awesome chunk of land and make you feel right at home. I had a great time hanging out with them, playing cards, swimming, and enjoying a meal together. I hope to go back again and would recommend this spot to anyone :)

Paige & Mike were great! Truly good ppl. The outdoor bar & covered patio is great, they have grills & we even enjoyed dinner together. I was alone but there was another couple there & there would have been room for many more ppl. Mike gave me a tour of the property on 4-wheeler. The pond is docked with fish and just far enough away from outdoor bar for quiet & privacy but a short easy walk.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!! My boyfriend and I were looking for a getaway and this was the perfect spot. When we first got there, Paige and Mike put us up by the pond and the views were incredible and we actually swam one day!
While we had our privacy by our tent, we loved being able to walk over to the lounging area, where there was a fully equipped kitchen (stove, microwave, fridge, ice, etc). The communal kitchen was able as we got to cook with Mike and Paige some nights (:

Paige and her partner were awesome and were great hosts; they made us a campfire and went above and beyond to help us have a good stay! The views from the pond were beautiful and it was a great location. The RV on the inside was a bit dated though.
